She didn't really know what to say back. Ren had a different look on life, then again, Mirage didn't comprehend a person understanding themselves. She didn't understand herself, the mere idea that someone actually could figure out what their life meant was to much for her. Glancing at Ren, her tail flicked.
"Are you looking for something?" She asked, tone returning to normal. "I wonder if a family is what I want. Though..." Her body twitched. "My family is complicated."

Ren snorted and then stretched. She had meant to earlier after she was done working on planting her flowers but she had gone off to rescue fair odd maidens from thorns. “hmm now isn’t that an interesting question. Isn’t everyone looking for something?” Ren stated in a playful voice. She wasn’t about to indulge her whole life’s mission at the moment. Nope that was too easy. “Well maybe a place to call your own. I knew a fox once that was out looking for his own place. He had a family but he often felt a bit left out I suppose since they were all phims and he was a normal. So he went out looking for his own place. Don’t know enough to make a more informed guess.”

"Ah, yes, that makes more sense."
She had how many siblings? To many. Way to many, all girls, only two of them her full-blooded sibling, and she had never seen them. There was at least eight other ones that she had never met and lived with her father, and she had always felt strange when hearing of them. She loved her father enough, she supposed, but....
He had other girls, girls he had seen grown up. Her? She had just met him once or twice. How could she join a tribe over-flowing with family she had never met before? Perhaps that was what she wanted, a home.

Ren never really understood Kuari about the whole not fitting in with the family part. Then again she blamed her parents and booting her out into the world with only Xesani to watch her. Xesani wasn’t really blood related to her and went along mostly because she owed her family a favor. However Xesani was a wonderful guardian Ren just wanted to have spent time with the family like walker had done, before she was booted out to fulfill her family’s mission… whatever that was. However Ren was fine with wondering, sure in weak moments she wanted a place to call her own. It wasn’t also as humiliating an urge as it could have been since she seemed to gain companions. She went around with Walker until he became an adult and then before him she traveled with Xesani and Kuari "I'm sure you'll" Ren trailed off a bit wondering why she was trying to be nice 'Find it eventually"

Awkwardly, she nodded, looking over at her. "Then I hope you find what you are searching for, too."
It was then she realized she hadn't asked the others name, tail flicking. Should she? Or was she intruding? God... Ever since her friend ran off to meet her family she had no one to teach her about being social. Frowning, the vixen poked at the ground with her paw.
"Is it rude to ask your name?"

“Hmm oh I will. It’s just that they could have given me better instructions.” Ren stated and this time did flip her hair back. Well the next question wasn’t too surprising. It was only a matter of time until the vixen noticed that Ren hadn’t given out her own name. Should she give it? Ren was bordering on being in a playful mood, which wasn’t really conductive for giving out information but then again it depends on if the other vixen was the type to give out weird nicknames when the name wasn’t given.
“a bit yes. However my name is Ren” she finally decided.

Her eyes widened at that, shaking her head. "It really is rude? I'm sorry." Ah, remember that for next time. Don't ask peoples names. Ever. "I will remember this." She said seriously, nodding firmly. Alright. Next person she met she wasn't asking their name, fair enough.
Was it rude to tell someone your name, then? "I suppose if asking for a name is rude, then giving my own is, too." She nodded, looking at the flowers then. Hm, still she had much to learn.

Ren twitched and then got really close to Mirage bumping her nose. “Listen here because obviously I found another fox that needs help with rules of meeting someone. First off, you don’t wait so long to ask another fox’s name. If they try to drag on then you should be on your guard because obviously something is fishy and they may be in a sarcastic mood”
“Always give your name out first before asking another foxes, its only good manners. Make sure not to just go ‘Can I have your name’ without giving leverage first, especially in company. If they refuse then the public shall side with you for good manners. Also I am not a good one to base social interactions as I am very sadistic and rough.” Ren taught and then backed up shaking her head. Seriously what was with the state of foxes these days not teaching the right procedures. Of course Ren should hardly be talking but that was beside the point. Ren liked not conforming to society.

"Ah, alright." She shrugged her shoulders until they cracked, nodding. "Mirage." She looked up. "My name is Mirage." She wasn't quite sure what she thought of Ren. She hadn't tried to harm her, yet the mention of her being a sadist did make her wonder. Why would she tell her that, though she didn't see how Ren could be bad. She had helped her, and due to this Mirage had no interest in seeing her as a sadist.
"I see." She glanced to the side, cracking her neck now. "Though, why should I be polite? Isn't that considered weak?"

Ugh did Ren have a sign on her that said “teaches foxes” or something like that. With another sigh she looked back over at Mirage. Well it was an okay name Ren supposed. Then again a name that meant lily meant once again she was hardly one to talk. Well she supposed it all came about for sitting there and telling the universe was bored. She should hardly yell at it when it was just complying with her wishes… who was she kidding it gave her every right to yell at it again, when Mirage was safely out of hearing range. “Yes and no politeness in the wrong circumstances can be considered a weakness. If you know how to use it to your advantage and win over other parties by making the first party look like an a** then Politeness can be used as a weapon.” Ren replied.

An eyebrow quirked at this comment, amusement heavy in her tone. "I'm starting to think you enjoy making people look like asses, don't you?" Her tail flicked side to side, head shaking.
"You'd be good in politics, though I doubt that amuses you." Ah, it seemed her mood had changed, resulting in a personality change at that. Mirage seemed to flip-flop through emotions quickly, though she rarely felt anger or sadness. Glancing at the vixen, she nodded.
"You know, I haven't seen many flowers in my life, actually, almost none, but is that natural?" She pointed at a bush of shriveled roses.

Ren thought about this question and tilted her head to the side. Did she truly like making people look like asses. It was true she loved fighting strong opponents and then crushing them whether it be physically or mentally. “I suppose so, but only if I truly hate the other person. Making every day people look like asses isn’t fun at all. The puny little people deserve it however it just doesn’t have the same satisfaction of someone you truly hate.
“No petty squabbles between corrupt people and dominating the area are just too boring. Already done so” Ren yawned shaking her paw as if moving the subject elsewhere. “Its natural, I think that particular plant was put here by my grandmother. Its pretty old. I should probably water it some time today”

She glanced about now, eyes flicking between the flowers. She liked it here far more then the desert.... it smelled so nice... She looked over at Ren, her eyes soft. "Can I stay here for a bit?" She asked softly, ears flicking.
"You could teach me how to care for these flowers, and I could care for them while you are gone. I... it is far nicer here than my supposed to be home." She said, touching another flower and sniffing it, tail wagging.

Ren was actually planning to stay here a couple days herself and she wasn’t one for too much company. However she did want to check up on walker and go a few other places. Ugh she was getting way too weak for her own tastes. Perhaps she could add in some training as well. “Do what you wish. However you don’t have to worry about watering the flowers any time soon. We’re going into Monsoon season, so you might as well stay in the building connected to the garden. No sense in you getting swept away” Ren replied.
Well that wasn’t entirely true. After all some of the flowers needed to be pruned and cut back a bit and the dead stuff needed to be pulled out. She supposed Mirage could do those things.

"Then I will be their personal gardener." Mirage didn't seem to upset with Ren and how she acted, even giving her a faint smirk.
"Perhaps you should show me this building then." The rainbow vixen mused, looking up at her. "Unless you secretly wish me to get swept away." Brushing past Ren, she glanced about. How would a fox enter a building, anyway?
