Working indoors was an idea he hadn't thought of, but should they wind up with massive snow storms he would certainly start thinking in that direction. That could be something to be had fun with, Christmas shopping gone bad; for the shoppers. Whenever he came up with this idea he'd have to bring it up to Painite and others, perhaps a large group walking through the mall?
Of course, no one ever expected girls to fall from the sky. That only happened in the movies and fairytales, right? At least no one had seemed to notice his apparent fall from the sky.
Hearing her go word he threw open the back doors as he came sweeping in, his coat billowing and moving about behind him. Heels clicked against the hard tile floor. Scaning the room he took in the bleary faces of the adults, drunk likely the lot of them, well that would make this easy. It wasn't likely they'd put up much of a fight. The nearest person to him was grabbed as he seemed like he was going to walk past them.
Grabbing them he pulled them to himself and started draining energy. It wasn't hard, even as words drifted into his mind telling him that starseed taking was easier and less concentration was needed. Shaking the thought away, before it could effect what he was doing. He, like Sugilite, didn't notice the red haired girl or anyone around there age for that matter. As far as he'd seen it was all adults, all of whom seemed drunk and in need of mouth wash. The stink of booze on the male in his hold had him wishing for some mints to shove into his mouth. But that thought too, like the previous thoughts, were shoved out of his mind as he kept his focus to the best of his ability. The man didn't seem like he was going to put up a fight, in fact he'd all but turned of his energy with a word of consent. He was just allowing it.

Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod, no way. Elara felt cold sweat stand out on the back of her neck as she saw the young man, younger than her she thought, stride in and grab one of the drunks. Spinning around, she heard the door on the other side of the shelter slam shut as well, and knew that there was no other way out. She was going to have to henshin up. In public. Or people were going to die. One trembling hand went into the pocket of her battered jeans, and came out again gripping the pen, hard. She had to do this fast, before they noticed her! If they saw her civ identity, she gulped, not wanting to consider the possibility.
The hand rose, uncertain, wary.
"Elara Power, Make-Up!"
Sugilite's arm relaxed, and she dropped the man she had pinned to the wall. She had limited herself to drawing energy, still aware that they weren't supposed to outright kill civilians now. Not unless they were interrupted. Turning towards the shout, she saw a strange shimmering light between her and the civvies who were stumbling out of the way, pushing at each other, like dumb animals stuck in a cage. Her pleasant, if slightly vicious smile dropped a little, and she surreptitiously moved back a little, putting more meat shields between her and the light. A senshi? Here? Well, with any luck Benitoite could take care of her.

With the male soon limp in his arms he let him fall to the ground, he couldn't manage to hold up the dead weight. He wasn't as physically strong as some were, he never would be either. It wasn't that he knew they weren't to kill people but rather that he didn't want to, it seemed like a self defeating thing really. With the one man on the ground he was headed toward another person, they were running and seemed to be heading for the bathroom. Did they really think that was a good place to hide? If anything it would make it easier to get them, stupid really.
What distracted him and allowed the man to make his half assed escape was that shout. Turning around, faster than his neck liked, he stared at the light show. A senshi, lovely. This wasn't what he wanted to deal with tonight, it ha all seemed to be going so nice and easily.
Standing behind the senshi and noting Sugilite backing away he decided to go in for the attack. Someone needed to handle the senshi, and maybe Sugilite would distract the senshi. His weapon wouldn't help right now, it was too small for his liking, so he quickened his pace and headed right for the senshi aiming to kick the poor girl in the knees in an attempt to drop her to the ground. What a nice way to greet someone.

Sugilite grinned as her teammate went in for the scrap. Better her than him, she didn't feel like getting her dress dirty by scuffling on the floor. Besides, she had done her share of physical activity for the night, chasing that other civilian. Instead she turned and scanned the room. Sure enough, there was a security camera, lights on. Now would be a good time to cut its footage, as the last thing destiny city police needed was to witness a battle of senshi vs negaverser.
Sugilite hadn't played much sport requiring aim, but as she summoned the small gyroscope into her hand, she hoped that she had a good enough eye to hit it. If not she'd have to rip it off the wall herself. Taking aim, she flung the heavy metal toy at the recording camera. There was a crack, and the camera jerked up in its stand as the gyroscope knocked it out of position. Now all the camera would record was the ceiling, and the shouts.
Turning back to the room, she hurried to grab a man who was making a break for the door. No one was getting out on her watch.
"Achoo! S-stop right there evildoer! Pretty cold senshi sailors will defend the drunk middle class from your nefarious schemes! In the name of Elara y-"
She didn't get a chance to finish her speech, instead dodging back a few paces and raising a leg, his kick glancing off one of her bronze shin guards. Elara stumbled, and grabbed at drunk for stability. That hadn't been a good idea, as they both toppled to the ground. Rolling to the side quickly, trying to put some distance between herself and the boy, she raised a hand, fingers curled into the firing position as if she was trying to take aim. A flair of magic sparked at the end of her fingertips, and her eyes narrowed.
"Elara Bronze Shot!"
The swirling spark of green and brown grew, and formed a miniature bronze cannon, hanging in midair. Then, it jerked back as though firing, and a ball of the same energy around the size of a baseball shot out of the barrel, straight towards Benitoite.

That was is the camera recorded sound. He hadn't even taken notice of it, something for him to learn from and remember for next time and every time following. He was simply busy with approaching the senshi. Sugilite could surely handle the people, and the unnoticed camera. He trusted her to handle that while he handled the senshi.
"Yap, yap, yap. That's all you senshi do!" Growling at her as he cut off her little speech. It was annoying and he was tired of hearing her voice, tired of hearing senshi speak really. Really he had never had the introduction speech before but having been called numerous things in the past was getting annoying and being accused of various things. It was enough to make a person want to grind someones face into the ground, or maybe it was just his lack of sleep and hectic schedule right now controlling his thoughts and mouth. It was likely the case, the space thing had him stretching himself a bit thin.
He would have gone after her had it not been for the unexpected...cannon. What on earth? No time to think as he found himself slammed in the shoulder with a large ball of energy. That was going to leave a hell of a bruise come morning, or soon after this fight. Felt like someone had actually hit him with the ball it was the size of. Rubbing his shoulder he cast his slate eyes down on the senshi.
"Nice trick." And painful but it wasn't going to keep him from kicking at her while she was down. Hauling off she aimed a kick for the downed girl, aiming to get her off the hopeless drunk. "You should remove yourself from his person, I doubt he wants a terrorist laying all over him like some cheap strumpet." With a skirt like that and that short...

Sugilite rammed into the man at the door, driving her elbow into his stomach and causing him to wheeze as the air was driven out of his lungs. Then, his shoulders shook and he doubled over, throwing up the remains of what looked like a rather expensive meal onto the bus shelters floor. Sugilite danced back in a flurry of disgust, nose wrinkling at the display. Perhaps that hadn't been the smartest place to strike him. She made a note of that as she swivelled around and dashed across the shelter, tackling one of the remaining three upright drunks. The other two cowered in a corner, unable to move without getting between the senshi and Benitoite. Pulling herself upright on top of the splayed out man, she gripped him firmly by the shoulders and began to drain.
Elara had taken his totter backwards as her cue to jump up and rush him, pausing for a moment to curse and untangle one of her wrist guards from the coat of the man she had brought down accidentally. Unfortunately, fingers stiff with cold were slow at fiddly tasks, and by the time she was dislodged a boot was heading her way. Dodging to the side with a yip, she managed to stagger up. Taking a step backwards, she raised her fists in a defensive position, bracers gleaming under the cheap neon lights of the shelter.
"For someone who says w-we talk a lot, you sure love the sound of your own voice!"
Damn! That would have sounded so much cooler if she hadn't stuttered! Elara cursed the speech impediment that had hounded her throughout her entire life. If only she could keep her voice steady, she was sure she'd get a little more respect. She frowned at the young man over her fists, trying as always to understand why he was doing this. He didn't look like a psycopath.... or at least, what tv showed them as.

"Hardly, just pointing out you abuses of the poor man." He stated, motioning to the man scrambling across the dirty floor of the bus terminal. "For one who parades about as the hero you are quite abusive." Mocking, cold, he didn't care to deal with her tonight. A lot was on his plate and the teenager had other things to worry over, such as what was going on in space and just how it would effect those down here. So far nothing had happened but who knew how long that would last.
Of course he wasn't, he was quite sane and stable. Though perhaps less so tonight then weeks before. But he was stable in a relative manner of speaking.
With her fists up and looking ready to block an attack or punch him he moved closer. He didn't rush her but he didn't slow walk toward her either. One fist came up toward her face while another went low. The one up high stopping short, it was a distraction he hoped so he could strike where he wanted to - low.
"Shall I drain this one Sugilite?" He asked. Taking her energy would be a good thing, he wasn't even thinking about her starseed, just her energy.

Oh for - what did he want? Drain? Sugilite slammed the head of the man she was draining into the ground, hard. If it made a cracking noise, she didn't notice. She looked over at the two, irritated. Did he really expect her to walk him through the entire thing? What kind of an answer was he expecting? She stood up and looked around at the two humans still cowering in the corner and the man on the other side, heaving. His stomach had run out of contents, but his body still shook and retched. Which one to drain first, which one? She didn't have time to bother with her impromptu partner's questions. When she spoke, her normally pleasant voice had a small ringing note of impatience, as if she couldn't believe he didn't see the clearly obvious answer himself.
"So she gets back up and possibly kills one of us? We are at war my good man, take her down."
Drain? He took the time out to ask if he should drain her? As if it was no problem, as if she would go down like a chump! Elara's eyes flared, and she swung up one arm to block the overhead punch, gritting her teeth as his other hand struck her breastplate. It offered protection for her, and she was aware that if he struck it his hands would certainly sting enough.
What the heck did they think she was? She'd show them! Screw defense, if she kept playing it safe, the other psycho would finish up join in and she'd really be in deep s**t. As the first hit connected with her stomach, she reached over and grabbed the collar of the guy's shirt. Her other hand grabbed at the fist aimed at her face, trying to pull it aside. She lowered her head and rammed forward, intent on flattening Benitoite's nose across his face.

He saw the answer, well he saw beating her or...the other option. It wasn't the thing he wanted to do but they really couldn't afford her to come after them, right? He hated this, he really did, but he knew if he didn't he wasn't likely to hear the end of it from her and possibly others if she spoke of it. There was also the chance he could risk their lives right now by allowing the senshi to live but to kill a person...No, no he had to. Working up the mental strength, the will, to do this act.
Snapping his head back, to avoid a broken or bloody nose, he swore he felt his neck crack. "That wasn't nice." He stated, glad that his nose hadn't taken the intended hit. Why was it that a senshi always wanted to fight you over simple energy draining? His hand hurt, from hitting her armor, and he was in a increasingly foul mood.
With her hand still on his collar, she really had better not stretch the material, he reached up to grasp her hand and pull her closer to him. His free hand reaching out toward her chest. He'd done it once before, to a civilian, he knew how to get his hand through her chest. He didn't say anything, didn't meet her eyes, - he couldn't. But he equally couldn't leave her alive. And if he drained her and she came after them while still here...no, he couldn't risk it.

"What the hell? P-pervert!"
Elara struggled to get free, swinging her leg up to kick him where it hurts. It wasn't fair but she wasn't going to let this psycho grope her up, even with the metal breastplate between them. At the same time she raised her free hand and brought it up. If he had thought she was out of juice after just one attack, he was wrong. She certainly had enough magic left for one more cannon blast, and if she could do it straight to his face, it would be way more satisfying.
Sugilite turned away from the two, and continued at her work, careful to pull every last drop that she could without killing them. It was tempting to go further but you had to let them live, if only so they could be milked again. Really, it was like raising farm animals. You sheltered them and protected them, but they had to give back. Unfortunately for most people, they didn't see eye too eye. She supposed it was too much to ask for them to be grateful. Her back still to the two struggling teens, she moved over to Vomit McPuddles, trying to grab him without getting to close to the regurgitated dinner. It was tempting to tell him to hurry up, but she held her tongue. Rushing was certainly undignified, and so was impatience.

Even if you explained things to the people and asked for the energy they wouldn't see eye to eye, they might think you were in need of a mental facility and a psyche exam. There was no real way to find a balance with the people they protected, and collected energy from. Perhaps like dealing with milking a snake, the snake didn't agree or like being grabbed and milked just like civilians, and you had to be a little forceful with it.
He was too close to avoid the shot, the very unfair shot, between his legs and dropped with a gasp as air swept out of his lungs. His hold on her vanishing as the blond covered himself. As he fell he avoided anything she may have aimed for his person.
Deep calming breaths he lay on the ground for several moments. When he finally opened his slate eyes they were narrowed on the girl. "That was dirty." Hissing as he launched himself at her and aimed right for the end goal - her starseed.

It was a mistake to pause, she realized as the Lieutenant launched himself at her. For a moment, anger had flickered and been replaced by guilt, and she had stopped, stepping forward to check on him. Elara still refused to believe that the Negaverse was actually taking lives, still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that that these kids were killing other people.
Sure she knew that they would ******** you up, and maybe burn down your house and rough up your family if they found out your civilian identity, and maybe the big generals at the top might kill you, but not the kids. Not the teens, who looked like they could have gone to her school and sat beside her in class.
No way was this boy actually trying to kill her.
She took a step backwards and gasped as his hand plunged into her chest, her eyes wide with shock and her mouth parted slightly. The bus shelter filled with silence for one frozen moment, and then she began to scream, the pain lancing up and down her body, making her shake like a rag doll.

Didn't all the General's look like they were in high school? Or at least most of them? They were all young in this war, though those little bitty senshi were too young in his opinion. He had only seen one member, personally, who didn't look like a teenager in the Negaverse. It seemed like this was a war for children to fight, he couldn't say why it seemed to be that way but it did seem to be the norm.
Why had she come toward him, guilt? Had a senshi felt guilt for something? That was a new one to him.
While he held onto her tightly, not willing to let her body drop, he yanked as hard as he could once his hand closed around that warmth inside of her. Fingers tightly held onto the starseed as he pulled it free and out of her body. Shouting over her in order to try and block out some of her screams, so he didn't have to hear it. "Sugilite, do you have everyone else?!" He didn't want to hear this girl screaming, he couldn't. It was too much, and not for his ears but his mind. He'd seen a body thrash from it but never heard the person scream in pain. He was ready for the shaking, it was why he held so tight to her.

As soon as the crystal was ripped from her chest, Elara's screaming stopped. A ringing silence fell over the bus shelter as she slumped to the ground. Her face was blank, emotionless, the only sign of life were the fresh tears that covered her cheeks. As she collapsed, her fuku exploded into brilliant light, then dissipated, leaving her in the grubby hoodie and torn jeans that she wore while out on duty.
Her face would dry soon, and her body would be found, removed, and eventually buried by mourning family. People would say she fell in with a gang, or got hooked on drugs, and shake their heads at her in disappointment and shame. Elara had been careful, no one knew her civilian identity. No one would mourn what she had been, how she had risked and lost her life to save a handful of unknown drunks. No one would give her the soldier's burial she deserved.
Sugilite stepped over the girl's still body, careless of treading on her hair or clothes. She grinned and held up a sizable ball of energy, the amalgamation of all she had drained from the people. For one nights work by two lieutenants, it was impressive. Not to mention the starseed of a senshi. Shoving the prize forward, her glasses caught the reflection of the light and lit up, like an animal in the dark.
"All accounted for and present, there isn't so much as a drop of energy left in this tacky hovel. And now that you've taken care of that pest, we'd probably best be off. I'm sure the security guards must have woken up after the screaming came, and I'm not in the mood to drain police officers, let alone attempt to dodge bullets."

Staring he watched her clothing alter and change. She was normal - hard been he corrected himself. She had fit in with these people, he hadn't even noticed her in a look over of the people in the shelter. She was like everyone else and that hurt. Knowing she was like everyone else, no matter how much he told himself her soul was not from here, that it didn't belong.
His grip on the item tightened, his knuckles turned white. How best to get rid of this, and as fast as possible without seeming desperate to do so. The one good thing, perhaps some saving grace, was that he didn't see those tears. Letting her body go, even being nice enough to gently lower himself and her body before laying her down. There was no need to be so careless and disrespectful to a body.
From his couched position he looked at Sugilite. For a moment he had the anger within him to trip her or something. She was a senshi, now no longer, she was a dead body which deserved the same respect any other body deserved. But he wisely held his tongue, it wouldn't look good to have someone assume he was sympathetic to this[/i[ body.
"And who knows if we've been sensed, or her as well as us." And senshi were on the way, he didn't want to deal with other senshi not now...not for a while if he could help it. Offering the starssed to Sugilite. "I hope you know someone who can get this to the rift." He didn't want to call Painite, she'd be too giddy over this.
