Rissa had been making her way steadily through the crowd, more aware now of where she was going and who happened to be in front and to either side of her as she walked. After all, she didn't want another incident like before happening.
Her thoughts turned back to the original point of her visit: to send a few prayers up for her mother and other dead Shinobi, fighting to but away those horrid criminals locked up. It was with that thought in mind that she ventured away from the crowd a little, pausing as the song drifted into her ears.
She only managed to catch the last view verses, but the music itself was wonderful:
The alliance threw Tobi in jail
where he soon grew sunless and pale.
And he learned all too soon
not to show his full moon
to a group of old jailbirding males.

The girl smiled, giggling at the verse and looking around for the source, spotting two boys farther on and a bit away from the crowd in front of the pillar. Curious as always, Rissa moved forward, a sweet smile gracing her face as she stopped a respectful distance away.

"You, have a wonderful voice you know... And you can play very well too... If you don't mind me asking, how'd you learn to perform so beautifully? Not to mention your entertaining lyrics~!" Her sentence ended with a girlish giggle, voice soft, like her appearance... Though her clothes were rather durable for just a common girl, and more suited for someone accustomed to moving quite a bit, and quickly at that.
Rissa paid no heed what her appearance told the two boys of her. She was more concerned with his instrument and the skills with which he wielded it.
Though at the same time, she intended to go and visit the area she had marked to pray on her mother's behalf, it wasn't quite so necessary. She had done the same thing before yesterday, when she and her father had had yet another argument, and she had left on her own to be on her own for awhile. Sometimes she wondered if he even really understood what she did and why she did so, or if he was just shoving his wife's image on his daughter. If the latter were the case, well, Rissa didn't want to really think of that possibility.
Banishing those thoughts to return to the present, Rissa focused on the boy before her once again, still smiling calmly, and not really showing what had gone on within her mind in the space of only a few seconds. No need to frighten to boy off with such brooding thoughts.

Remaining on his knees, Ishinon's tears flowed for a short while. As they all dried up Ishinon quickly rose up, standing on his feets again. As Ishinon was now standing it seemed as thought Cruxis was starting to play on the lute he was carrying. While the lute was sounding, Ishinon was staying still, looking up at the sky, not focusing on anything. It really could seem as thought Ishinon was like a statue as he was standing there. It would seem as the sound faded another person had shown up by them. Ishinon didn't pay much attention to the person which had showed up, nor did he turn around to face the girl.

Should I really be here? Do I belong here? Bonds? I wonder, maybe it all would have been better if I had never become free. At least then it didn't hurt so much. Now there's so many things to do. It was so easy when all I had to do was to kill the person standing before me in the arena Those constant thoughts flowed through Ishinon's mind as he was standing looking up at the sky not paying any attention to those around him. It would pass a few minutes before Ishinon would do anything at all, and that was simply take a few steps away , as he wasn't sure what to do.

Cruxis kept a careful eye on Ishinon via his peripherals as a lovely young lady approached him. Normally Cruxis kept his distance from a crowd, preferring to interact on that elevated level a performer could gain on an audience. Interacting on a personal level always seemed to fluster him; particularly with a lovely redhead he'd met at the academy and had never managed to speak to outside of his performance mode.
That noted, thankfully she was a pretty brunette; which allowed him some degree of maintaining his senses; and quickly gave a polite bow to her; responding, "Thank you for your compliments. I had an amazing teacher, and a lot of practice. Having to perform for your dinner tends to help motivate you to do well too." Cruxis let out a quiet chuckle at the last comment. Enough to pose as a joke, though he knew otherwise - the life of a wanderer would have killed him had he not been able to perform for his meals.
He noticed Ishinon shirking away from them, and quickly made a recovery on the situation, reaching out and grasping at Ishinon's arm before pulling him back into the fray. "I'm Cruxis, and this is my new friend Ishinon!", he spoke with a grin before letting go of Ishinon and backing away from the two of them; his lute strumming up a new tune; a cheerful folk tune with a sharp 1 - 2 - 3 drumming on the face of his lute to set the beat before he began to play; "Come, have a dance, a smile, and a song!"
And with that the lute began to play as Cruxis sung another favorite from the taverns. Albeit the song was funnier with a few drinks in ones system and among the older crowd whose minds had had more time to perverse... But it was the first dance-like song he could think of, and so he played singing;

There once was a hunter who met a young miss.
They went to the woods and he gave her a -
lecture on hunting and arrows and bits.
Then told her that she had such wonderful -
eyes that shined pretty like great golden eggs,
and suddenly passion crept up into her -
heart which was pounding with movements so quick.
She let out a blush and grabbed hold of his -
hand; and he said she had wonderful charms.
T'was a girl that he wanted to take in his-
washing and cooking and that if she did
They would get married and raise lots of-
chickens and horses but she told him "Stop!"
Then she called her father and he called a-
horse and a carriage which did not take long
for someone was doing his little girl-
right for a change; but with their speed, he said
If you marry her you'd be better off -
Single 'cause it's always been my belief;
fast marriage will bring a man nothing but grief!

Cruxis let the pace quicken as the last line rhymed unexpectedly, the bridge of the song carried the tune for a moment before picking up into accompaniment-only, retaining the accelerated tempo as he sung again.

The hunter decided he'd wed anyway
And he started planning for his wedding -
party with bachelors and all of his pals.
They brought lots of booze and several lovely-
suits for him to wear for his bach'lor part-ay
While drunk he confessed that he really was -
happy to have such great wedding pluck
But then he found out he was all out of -
money, and he got left out in the lurch
Standin' and waitin' in front of the -
End of the story which just goes to show
All a girl wants from a man is his dough!

"It's a pleasure to meet you both~ My name's Rissa." The girl responded with a cute little tilt of her head, smiling broadly at the two boys before her. Both seemed nice enough, willing to be friends with her even, if not at least comrades. Those thoughts made the girl practically squeal with happiness on the inside, as she had had trouble keeping friends with her father's insane safety standards for her.
She snapped back to present again as Cruxis asked them dance along with song, and Rissa complied, smiling and laughing at the lyrics. She understood the pause, and could guess at the meant words there, and though she found them a bit crude lyrical wise, it really was the best for some fun and games.
Still smiling, the young woman danced along with the beat, clapping her hands in time and laughing all the while. Rissa could hardly stop laughing as the song ended, and she grinned towards Cruxis and his lute, feeling more light hearted than when she had first arrived at the Pillar.
"Thank you for the fun and laughs... You really are quite witty huh?" She hadn't been expecting that kind of wit from somebody, and it made her a bit happy to know that people like that existed in the world in this day and age, when wit seemed to be replaced by brawn among normal people.
"So... have you enrolled in the academy before?" She asked, tilting her head curiously, soft brown hair flipping to the side as she viewed the silver haired, and tongued, lute player. She couldn't help her curiosity after all, she hadn't really come across any of her class mates recently, and so she that that they may simply be in a different class, though Ishinon seemed the silent or shy type, not one much for talking. She understood that much, even if it dampened her usually bright spirit.

It would seem, Cruxis pulled Ishinon back as he was stepping away. What was going on wasn't really something Ishinon understood, it felt so distant and weird to his own experiences. What really confused Ishinon even more was how Rissa seemingly appriciated the song and was laughing, it wasn't something he knew how to handle. What was it really about? That was something Ishinon got stuck on, as he never had been the brightest of people, but even so maybe it was something he hadn't experienced?

Ishinon didn't really know what to think of it, but it seemed this girl called Rissa enjoyed it. I don't really see what's so fun or anything with any of that... From what I can tell, it's just better off being alone, but I wouldn't know, feelings such as these. He would stop himself, before speaking the final words he had thought of saying first. And so Ishinon was silent again, still not a change in his face from the very plain and not standing out at all. Why would anyone laugh at that? It just seems so weird. I really don't understand people, especially not weird things like that... Maybe I should just play along pretending to understand? Yeah maybe I should have... To Ishinon that seemed quite reasonable, especially as it probably would ahve caused him a lot less trouble than to speak about not understanding.

Yeah, it would have been easy for Ishinon had he thought before speaking, which usually happened but for once maybe he was eager to understand? It felt familiar yet it was unknown to him.

Cruxis's talent in genjutsu was a blessing for when he performed. Genjutsu, in the basest sense, involved connecting with another on a mental level, and influencing their emotions. This was a developed technique referred to as empathy; the ability to understand, and to a degree influence emotions. It was a two-way gate; and overall it was a weak-to-strong flow from him to another, and a strong-to-weak flow when reaching out to sense what others were feeling. Genjutsu's basest training was in reversing these rules; empowering the flow of one's outward influence with chakra in order to inflict emotions and visions into another through an empathic connection.
As Cruxis had demonstrated on Prisoner Number 02T087, the connection was stronger with direct contact; the mentally damaging attack having drained what little mind the prisoner had had left and leaving him comatose and broken mentally.
However, Cruxis was not focusing on an outgoing connection - instead understanding the flow of his incoming connections. Rissa seemed to be reacting rather positively, and was enjoying meeting new people as much as he was. Ishinon on the other hand was showing an external view of indifference; and a somewhat irritated and confused aura.
Cruxis could have attempted to delve into it, but chose against it. His genjutsu might possibly be used to help the situation, but could also irreversibly do more harm than good by tampering with an unwilling mind. After all, genjutsu was a game of deception, illusions and mind games. It spawned from the shadows lurking in the corners of your eye, and was never meant to be delved into apart from necessity. Those who took too much pleasure in the illusion lost themselves to it... For a brief moment, Cruxis debated the advantages of genjutsu simply used on oneself, to make even the lowliest shack seem a magnificent castle, to make ordinary rice taste like the finest dragon steaks. It was a power that tempted its user to imprison oneself as much as one's enemies.
Cruxis had several options he was considering to avoid the slightly awkward situation arising. The truth was, he was an optimist despite his past trouble; and while he made an effort to learn from his experiences, he tried not to dwell on them or let them become a burden to him. If Ishinon really didn't care for, or find fun in, his tricks and mannerisms meant to bring smiles to the faces of others; then there was no point in attempting to amuse an audience who held no interest. If Ishinon truly felt he was better off alone, Cruxis would give him his space and leave it at that.
Unfortunately Cruxis also did not want to seem rude to the boy; and needed to find a polite way to excuse himself from the conversation. His lute remained silent for about a minute as he pondered the situation with a slightly blank stare in response to Ishinon's comment. However this was cut off as a fierce aura pierced his senses and his reflexes kicked into motion, his lute moved instantly to its holster along his back and his hand rested at the hilt of his ninjato. The source was sixty feet away... fifty... thirty... Behind them! His head tilted slightly, his mind focusing to suppress the Ryuugan. It did allow him to bring things into focus; but he knew if he kept it active too long, he might accidentally slip into his trance mode. Secondly, activating a doujutsu simply because of a high power level was a foolish thing to do; as it could be considered a threatening action. Better to save it for quick bursts if combat started than to than sustain it outside of combat and waste his strength. Thankfully it was simply a masked hunter-nin from Cloud with a wrapped message case, which Cruxis could give a slight relaxation about.
"Cruxis Ichtaca." the masked nin spoke, not as a question, but as an order; holding out the cylindrical case directly in Cruxis's direction. With a quick breath, Cruxis reached out to take it, and the moment he did so, the hunter-nin vanished; leaving a slightly shaken Cruxis with a still-closed message case.
"I... I should go. It was very nice meeting both of you." he spoke, politely bowing to the both of them before taking back to the air with his bukujutsu technique. Better to fly off and read on a rooftop a fair distance away. He knew enough about deliveries like this to know that this message was likely for him and him alone. Be it a mission, a request, or order; he would keep it to himself unless it was otherwise stated.

Rissa blinked, her smile fading a little as she looked towards Ishinon and his apparent pessimism. She felt sorry for him, that he didn't understand feeling. Her heart leaped out for him, and she became determined to help him open up a little.
She was soon distracted though, by the appearance of what seemed to be a hunter nin. Rissa's eyes widened a little, before the ninja handed over a sealed scroll of some sort to Cruxis. Oh... I hope Cruxis won't be in trouble for something... The boy began to withdraw, and Rissa nodded, smiling a little. "See you again~" she called after him, smiling happily.
With Cruxis gone, she only had Ishinon for company, but that wasn't a bad thing. "I don't know much about you past.... but I can guess you weren't exposed to this kind of thing..? Can we be friends, Ishinon? We can help each other out, and get to know one another..." Rissa didn't have many friends to begin with, though she was kind at heart and had always wished she had. Maybe now it would be different. Though, she doubted her father would much care for her having a friend at all, let alone an odd boy he didn't know or had doubtfully heard of.

Ishinon whom was standing around, didn't pay any attention to the suddenly arriving hunter-nin. It wasn't something Ishinon had anything to do with, especially since it seemed Cruxis was the one that got a sealed scroll from the ninja. Soon there after it seemed as thought Cruxis left Ishinon and Rissa there.

So now it seemed Ishinon would be in a tougher spot with what he should do as Rissa suddenly started to talk to him. It felt sudden for Ishinon atleast and not being sure what to say in response to her words, he remained looking away for a little bit. Soon enough he had decided on what to say sort of atleast. "I only ever learnt how to kill the people that stands before me, I'm a former slave of a illegal underground arena. It wasn't what he had planned to say to Rissa, but that was what he ended up saying. "If you still want to be my friend, then I only want you to know a few things. Just never do anything stupid for my sake, i'm not worth it.

Even thought it might seem quite harsh, it was the reality Ishinon saw. He didn't want anyone to do something stupid to save him or being unable to give up on him, if it came to it. Never again, should something like that happen, thats just what Ishinon believed in when he spoke those words to Rissa.

Rissa blinked a little. "Something like that isn't enough to stop me from being someone's friend... I can help you learn of other things you know. And besides, everyone has some sort of skeleton in their closet. She gave a light hearted smile glancing back at the other people wondering around the almost festival like atmosphere out in front of the tower.
"People are interesting in their own ways... Everyone's different, and that let's society produce the oddest of things.... It's doubtful that you'd find something like this in front of a high security prison anywhere else in the world... It's because we're all 'people' that we can come together like this..." Her smile had become soft. She hadn't meant to get all contemplative like this with him, but she just hadn't been able to help herself. It was her attempt to understand her knew friend better.Hoping she hadn't weirded him out with her odd change in speaking, she glanced at the other, brushing a few strands of her brunette hair away from her eyes and behind her ears. Really, she should think of getting her hair cut. It just seemed like it would get in the way in the future, but these were thoughts for another time, when she was alone and away from others.

For Ishinon it seemed weird that this girl was so on about being his friend, when he didn't even know her. Ishinon's long pitch black hair was caught in a slight breeze, as it ended up covering most of his face not that he cared. It felt better as he wasn't facing this Rissa directly and something was sort of inbetween them. It was quite weird for Ishinon to see a person so welcoming of him. "Uhm, if you think so, just stay safe and i'll try and be your friend Rissa. It would be really nice of you if you helped me out with things I don't quite understand" It was what had come to mind for Ishinon while speaking and it ended up quite weird aswell. Ishinon would speak the sameway he spoke to everyone he met, unless they were his seniors or something similair then he would be quite overly respectful.

You really see things so different from me, but i'll make sure to not fail, like I did in the past, and not do what I did then but the opposite. If you ever need any help in a fight I'll be there, thats the only thing I can really help you with.Ishinon said smiling a little as he wasn't going to say exactly what he did, not if it might push her away. Now that he seemed to have gotten a friend again Ishinon was smiling sincerly even if they had just met.

The young kunoichi smiled as well, happy that he seemed to open up a little. "Thank you Ishinon~ I'll help you in whatever way I can. I plan to train as a medic, so I can be of the most help to my friends." Rissa smiled, brushing her hair from her face again, and letting the wind blow back.

"Are you part of team yet, Ishinon...?" She asked then, turning and looking at him full on. She knew she wasn't yet, and she also knew that as a medic ninja, it would by nye on impossible to go off on her own as she was now. Besides, weren't genin supposed to opperate in three-man teams, with a teacher....?
Rissa blinked, eyes a bit wide. They were a member and a Sensei short, even if Ishinon said yes. That and, Rissa knew that at least she needed to train a bit, and practice her techniques. Even if she was going to be a medic, she didn’t want to be dead weight until someone got hurt. The goal was to stop people from being hurt, not the other way around and wait for the pain to come.

Ishinon leaned his head back, looking up in the sky as he wasn't sure what he was doing anymore. This day had been truely weird, but maybe it was how it was supposed to be? " I'm not on a team. I'm free if you wish, it really doesn't matter to much, I don't know what it means to be on a team."

In essence he spoke the truth even if Ishinon knew a bit about it, he never really understood the meaning of forming a team with anyone in particular. Not that Ishinon had ever fought together with someone before, only alone, against one or more enemies. This was confusing with how to decide on what he should do for himself, instead of just going along with Rissa without thinking. Yet it felt strangely right to go along with the things aswell, it was something beyond what Ishinon could imagine. "I wonder will there be a light that shines through the darkness and reaches the farthes reaches of the darkness...?

It wasn't something that had been planned to be said by Ishinon. What seemed as a good thing to say, might be a bad and what he intended to say came out diffrently from what he imagined.

Rissa smiled lightly, giving him a thumbs up. "It's alright Ishinon. I'll help you where you need it~" Satisfied with that, she smiled as she looked out over the crowd, her hair blown back for the moment. She'd have to train, and practice, so that she was useful... She didn't want to let her new team mate down by being useless. For the sake of their success, she'd train, and make herself adept medically, and physically when she could.

Nearly startled from her thoughts, she looked back towards Ishinon, listening and watching him. She was silent for a moment, before breathing in and speaking. "Light... Light can always pierce the darkness... If you let it that is." Rissa didn't usually have to speak out her replies like this, and it was interesting for her to have to do so. Not that she disliked it, it was just different. Everything will be different now.... Don't worry Mom... I'll be fine.. She smiled, her eyes closed at the semi prayer.

When they finally opened again, she seemed more relaxed, and easy going smile on her face. "Hey Ishinon.... Do you want to go train somewhere...?"

It was as thought it truely had changed Ishinon a bit atleast, or started a change within him. For it had seemed so weird for him that Rissa stayed, despite all those things he said about himself as they didnt even know each other. Yet it seemed as thought it was someone that was trying to understand him, and staying despite what he said. This Rissa really wasn't like any of the people Ishinon had been around before, sure there had been good people he had met and bad, but none of them had quite been like this. You are different from the others. You do stay, and don't just disappear, atleast not yet. I wonder, what makes you want to stay around someone like me?

What Ishinon said, was only the truth from what he thought of the people around him, and that he wasn't quite capable of understanding why someone would stay around him out of the blue. It was going to be different from the past that was something he was going to make sure of.

It would seem as thought Rissa wanted to do some practice, it was quite obvious that Ishinon wouldn't refuse but even so he waited a short while before answering her. It turned out harder than he thought, as it wasn't just to say it like he usually did with other people and most things. Sure, Rissa-san. Any where in particular you want to go?

Rissa smiled, hiding a slight blush from his words. Was she really all that different...? Maybe it was just because she understood the pain behind being alone, not having anyone to talk to. She banished the memories with a quick shake of her head. No. She was not going to fall to that kind of low again, never again.

Blinking at his question, as well as the honorific tacked onto her name. It felt... odd, but she'd get used to it if it helped Ishinon open up a bit more. Maybe in time, he'd just use her name.

"Well.... Most people go train at the Magnet Cliffs around here, but we could also go to the ruins of the old village. Both are pretty decent spots, with completely different terrains... So I guess it would depend on what we wanted to train exactly." Risa explained, smiling a little. Having grown up in the village, she knew how to get to both. Of course, she also knew what each place had in hold for them, in a general sense. She'd never actually been there on her own, or at least, without her father.

Dad would have a fit if he knew that I was going off to somewhere like that with only one person to help me out. She shook her head at the though, though any frown that may have appeared on her face was quickly chased away as she focused entirely on Ishinon. It was one of her good qualities, paying attention to other people and what they may be trying to tell her, even if she couldn't always reply.
