Bryce made a happy sound as they parted from their bonded when the humans went inside. Oh it'll be good to play again. What about you Jonda, how do you get along with the others? he wondered if Jonda was this bashful all the time, or was it his fault?
Fionn smiled and blushed a little himself rubbing the back of his neck. "Thank you." He stepped in and quickly stepped aside so that Alia could follow and he would be out of the way. he stood and scanned the room interested. "You have a lovely home." he said, sounding a little to much like a girl admiring a nice home than a complement from a boy.

Jonda blushed as he led Bryce to the back. Immediately noticing the apples, he bent down and ate one. It was rare that he was able to get an apple, seeing as how Daria usually ate them all. "Well... I.. Uh don't mind playing with the.. little ones.. I think they're cute...." He responded quietly as he watched the other male move around.
Aila cocked her head a little bit at Fionn's words but shrugged it off and went to her fire, which was just embers at the moment. Grabbing a log, she set it gently over the red coals and grabbed her tinder, tossing it around the log so it would all catch from the heat of the coals.
Once the fire was going, Aila grabbed a pot that had been sitting in her ice cupboard and hooked it on the bar that was just above the fire place. "Why don't you sit? It'll be done in a few moments." Aila suggested as she motioned towards her simple oak table that was burnished with a red coating.

Bryce smiled, "You said there were two young ones yes? We can play team games now." he sounded happy about this as he snagged an apple up from the stack. He wasn't as hungry as Fionn, because he could graze, but he wasn't one to skip out on an apple or two. He knew Fionn was good at collecting apples so he wasn't overly worried about eating to many, two wasn't that many right? "What do you like to do Jonda?"
Fionn watched Aila move about, building her fire, and getting the left overs ready to be warmed up. He nodded and moved to sit at the table running his finger tips over the surface. "What sort of things would you like help with?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

[[I thought I had replied to this.. Guess not lol]] Jonda nodded as he leaned against a small tree as he waited for Bryce to get his fill before he led the male to the glen where the others were. He jut nodded and kept his gaze away from the stunning male's as he listened to the life around them.
What do you like to do, Jonda? The question stunned the shy panda colored male as his head shot up. "What do I like to do? Well.. uhm..." He blushed and looked away once again. "I like to be around Aila.. when she's not... being... well.. herself.. well her public self..... And I uh... Like to run occasionally..." He stumbled out, unsure of whether or not that was actually the truth.
Aila smiled at the boy as the stew warmed up over the fire. "Well, my cottage could be repainted.. I have a barn out back that I've been meaning to fix up for a year or so.. since I started having azrein hang around.. Its almost Harvest time so I need to go stock up on food for the winter..." The green eyes twinkled with mischief as she reached over and spooned out a bowl of stew for the boy and set it before him on the table. "Just the usual fall chores." She teased.

((lol its fine))
Bryce only ended up eating two apples seeing as Jonda only ate the one, then he followed the panda printed brother into the woods towards the glen. He enjoyed listening to nature, but smiled when Jonda answered.
"I like to be around Fionn when he is being his real self too. There are two sides to that coin." he smiled at his shy new friend and said, "We should run together some time. Night time runs are my favorite."
Fionn listened to Alia watching her. He'd grown up on a farm, so he knew how to do everything Alia was talking about. He nodded a little and said, "I can do that. No problem." he smiled at the food taking in the smell, his gut growling with need. "thank you." he said, he filled the spoon with stew and blew on it before taking the bite. He made a soft, high, sound of happiness at the taste, "Oh lord, so good." he moaned and started to eat, but despite his hunger, Fionn ate neatly, and politely.

Jondayla sputtered for a moment as they entered the glen where a small black filly with green bubble markings and a bright orange mane, was cuddling next to a black blanket covered foal that seem to have flames flickering off his blanket. To the other side of the glen a pretty cream colored mare was seeming to talk to an indigo blanket with the same swirly pattern as she. "Well.. I uh.. don't really. uhm.. like the dark.. or.. anything along those lines for that matter..." He stuttered out, still avoiding Bryce's gaze. "Uhm.. the little black filly is Michiko, the blanket she's cuddling is Paimon.. He's a bit.. weird... and the mare with the swirls next to the blanket with swirls is Daria and her son Damir. Jondayla gestured towards each individual as he named them off. Aila grinned as Fionn said he could help as if he already knew how. That was great, she wouldn't have to teach the soft-handed lad. Aila poured herself a small bowl and sat down across from the pretty boy just as he tried her stew for the first time. She gave a smile of satisfaction that she wasn't the only one to enjoy her cooking. After a moment, she too, began to eat, trying to shove Fionn's strange ways to the back of her mind. What guy ate as delicately as this one?

Bryce looked at each in turn as he was given names to put to faces, he smiled and nodded his head to the mare, and the the filly. he figured even if he nodded to the fouls they couldn't see him so he didn't worry about it. Instead he looked to Jonda and said, "Running is running my friend. I care not when I do it."
Fionn finished his bowl before Aila and sat back in his chair a smile on his face which he wiped. Fionn hadn't spent much time around people so he didn't realize that his actions where out of the normal for a male, especailly not how she ate. For his father had been all about manners, even at the table.

It had been a week, since Bryce and the boy Fionn had wandered onto Aila's land, and had come to help them on the farm in return for shelter and food. Aila very much liked the company and Jondayla himself had been warming up to the other stallion, his shy nature leaving as he got to know Bryce better.
The barn was partially fixed now, and Aila expected Bryce and Fionn to want to be on their way as soon as it was finished. She knew she would miss the company, but figured she and the azrein would be okay.
In that week, another azrein had come to the glen, and seemed to stay there for food, despite his seeming loathe for humans. Also, a small Ladon had become attached to Jonda, causing him to have another friend that tried to get him out of his shell.
As it was, that day Aila was out picking ripe apples from the orchard across the stream. Jonda and his Ladon were back at the glen for once, leaving Aila alone to carry just a basket. A small song was sung quietly as she went about picking. She wasn't bothered by the lack of help, she only wanted a basket full anyways.

In the week that they had been there, Fionn had gotten used to having a roof over his head, and really enjoied Aila's company. When it was just him and Bryce that was fine, but having another human was, well, he needed it. When he realized that they were finishing the barn, he realized that their agreement would be over soon, and it saddened him.
Bryce continued to coax the other male into talking to him more and to be less bashful, even if it was just around him. He liked to see the panda colored male smiled and happy. He dozed in the late afternoon sun in the glen with the others.
After finishing work on the barn for the day, Fionn had excused himself to go bathe, he'd fallen off the ladder into the manure pile and smelled horrid, he didn't want to take that stink into Aila's home. After getting soap from Aila, he went to the river to first wash his cloths. Only in addition to the pants and shirts that hung drying from the tree's there were the strips of cloth he used to bind his breasts.
Fiona sigh softly as she scrubbed at her short hair for the third time, trying to get the smell out, it wasn't long enough for her to test herself, so she would just make sure, at the moment she was shoulder deep in the running water, enjoying the feel of it on her shoulders.

Aila finally filled the hand woven basket full of apples, she dropped the last apple down from the tree she was currently up in, and began the small climb down. Gleefully, she started down with practiced ease. Ever since she was a kid, she's loved climbing trees.
Still singing a made up song, or possibly she had heard somewhere at sometime, she began her walk to the stream to cross, unaware that Fionn was bathing. The basket was held at her hips as she quieted to a hum and listened to the birds singing above. A grin lit up on her face as she thought of the looks on the azreins' faces when she would have to tell them that the apples were for jam, not horsey eating.
Once at the stream, Aila set down her basket to roll up the cuffs of her linen pants she had put on that morning, which was not an unusual thing for the tree-climbing girl to do. The small splashing sound made her look up to see Fionn bathing.
A blush lit Aila's face as she went to turn away to give the boy privacy, but before she could she caught an eye full of.. -cough- feminine chest. "Whaa?!" She cried aloud is shock, before realizing and turning away from the boy girl and crossing the river with her apples and very much running towards her cottage.

Fiona had moved to the middle of the river to stand in a deep part so she could scrub at her chest and shoulders, she hated that stupid wrap it felt like she always smelled of sweat thank to it. She was scrubbing at her arms when Aila appeared on the bank. Fiona's bright green eyes went wide, and she dropped, not just to her shoulders, but until she was sitting on the bottom of the river. She had her arms wrapped tightly around her chest and here yes clamped shut
Oh lord she saw. Aila saw. She knows now. She's going to hate me. She wont want me around anymore. Oh lord, what have I done.
Fiona could hear her splashing across the shallow bit but didn't come up until her lungs were screaming for air. Finally she came up though, she wouldnt cry, she couldn't. she was still a boy, she couldn't show weakness. She rose from the water and dried off with the thin towel she owned and dawned her cloths again.
Fiona started back for the cabin, calling for Bryce as she went. The great cream Azein met her behind the cabin. "Fionn, what is it? What's wrong?"
"Aila saw." she didn't need to explain.
"I want to say good bye."
Fionn moved and pressed her face into his shoulder wrapping her arms around him. she didn't want to leave, but they both knew that Aila wouldn't want them around anymore. "I'm sorry, I know you like it here." Fionn said against his bonded's shoulder. He didn't cry. Men don't cry. But He did. just a few tears before he forced himself away from Bryce and rubbed at his face, "I'm so sorry Bryce, I got comfortable, and careless."

With a burning face Aila calmly stopped at her door, heart racing. She easily turned the knob and went into her house, closing the door behind her as she set the basket down on the table. No wonder he was so strange.. not much like a guy at all.. no wonder.. no wonder I was kinda... liking him...
Aila collapsed into a chair as her brain tried to sort through the information. What would possess the boy... girl to dress as a boy? She wouldn't ask.. that would be rude.. But so was hiding who he she really was... What was Fionn's real name? Did her azrein know? Had Bryce told Jondayla?
Aila reached for her favorite peeling knife as she sorted through her thoughts and began peeling the apples, putting them in a preplaced pot where she would make them into applesauce. Cooking always seemed to help her sort through her thoughts and today was no exception.
Jonda could sense the small panic his human had been in and made his way to the cabin, where he saw the boy... other human.. with Bryce in the back. Jonda quirked his head to the side as he approached. "Is.. is everything okay?" He asked slowly.

Fionn chocked a little on a sob he could not contain as he heard Jonda ask if everything was okay, because nothing was. He gave Bryce a squeeze and said softly, "I'll let you say good bye."
Then he was pulling away and rubbing his face clean. He was glad that he'd not really unpacked her backpack, and had left it at the door. It would make this as quick and painless as possible, given that Aila didn't attack her for being a liar.
Bryce nodded his head for the trees and requested, "Walk with me?" He didn't want to talk about this where the others might hear. "I need to tell you something," he started, then once they were in the forest but not near the glen he started to explain, "I'm sorry Jonda, Mine and I have been lying to you and yours all this time. But it was for the best. Fiona is afraid, she does not want to be a victim ever again, so she changed herself to keep it from happening. Mine is not a boy, but a girl. Aila found her while bathing, and did not react well. We'll be getting out of your mane soon."
Fionn took a deep breath standing at the door to the cabin. Swallowing deeply he eased the door open slowly. If he could just get the door open wide enough to pull his things out then they could leave and Aila would never have to see him again. He had to stick his head and arms in to grab the bag and froze when he saw Aila holding a knife

Jonda cocked his head more in confusion when Bryce admitted to the lie they had been giving Aila and himself. He stopped for a moment. "So.. you're... you're leaving.. How do you know that mine would not accept the explanation? She is a very understanding human, and you shouldn't rush her. Besides...." Jondayla looked away and blushed a bit. "I don't want you out of my mane...." He mumbled.
Aila looked up at the sound of her door opening. Seeing it was Fionn she stood up, dropping the knife and apple she was holding with a clatter on the table. "What are you doing, Fionn?" she asked calmly as she took a couple steps away from the table and wiped her hands off on the sides of her pants. "You're not expecting to leave right at this moment are you?" She asked, her voice rising a small octave as her neck was flushing.

Bryce would be the first to say, "I don't want to leave, and neither does Fiona, we like it here. We have been without anyone but each other for so long..." He moved so he could give Jonda what passed for a hug, resting his head on the others back "Fiona said Aila did not react well to seeing her." He said explaining why they felt they had to leave, "Mine doesn't want to make yours uncomfortable."
Seeing Aila stand, the knife still in hand, Fionn went pale under his freckles, eyes wide, and fumbled for his bag and things only to freeze again unable to look at Aila as tears burned behind his eyes again. Angry about it he hit them away, and spoke in a cracking voice, "Of course I am. I won't make you deal with a liar any longer than you have to. Bryce is saying good bye to Jonda then we'll be out of your hair."
