"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial Kuro stopped and looked over at Rainbow and Emile with a slight frown on her face. Talk about crap-timing. "This seems like a seriously bad time to be flirting..."
She shook her head and came out of hiding, seeing no point in her poor hiding attempt anymore as she watched Regan try to negotiate with Satake. "From his words just now, I doubt any of us would last long against him, even if you think you could." She said simply, still jumpy, but holding it down. Barely. She wanted to do something...not just stand here and talk. That was her problem. She shook her head again and stepped back a bit, leaving them to the rest of their conversation as she rubbed her head.

Satake Yoshishige, Proud and Just Samurai
It was hard for kids like this to understand why they were being held against their will, why they needed one of their classmates to come with them so that they could leverage the Shogun into a position of vulnerability, and it was even harder for a man like Satake who wasn't the smoothest with his words to explain it in such a manner that would allow them to avoid conflict. Still, he'd gladly answer their questions...as long as it prevented them from having to hurt one another, that's what he would do. "I know how it looks, but we're not really bad guys...just desperate," the large man explained with a sigh, scratching the side of his head as he considered how to answer Regan's questions, "Motonari Mori isn't the man you hear about on the news. He's a cunning, manipulative warlord who could care less about this country...his goal, even in the era of the Warring States before our reincarnation, was only the protection of his own homeland. He'd sacrifice anything for that goal...even the freedom and the lives of the entire nation. ...He'll turn this entire country against itself and wait for it to chew itself up, then enforce his will over it. That's just the kind of man he is..."
He frowned as he considered Emile's suggestion; it was true, he didn't particularly like the plan that had been devised by their leader. However, he knew that his own idea for what he'd like to do wouldn't have been any better. And it had about no chance of success, too. Not like this plan...at least they had a chance like this. "If I had my way, I'd march with a force right into the Capital and have it out like men. But there's two major problems with that idea...the first is that that man would never just come right out into the open and fight us. And the second..." he paused as if remembering, tapping the bottom of his spear against the floor thoughtlessly, "oh yeah...and the other thing is...there's no way in Hell we could take him like that." He coughed, as if remembering that he was talking to kids and probably should watch his language. It was then that the suggestion of a spar sank in and he began considering it...it was a decent offer, but this was a bit too serious to play around with it. Still, he seemed thoughtful...wasn't there something else they could do rather than just stand here?

Mm... a single-minded pursuit for as long as he's had the ability to pursue it. "Well, I assume this -is- his homeland, right? A well-intentioned extremist... but still clearly a villain. Against him, huh...?" It was getting harder and harder for Regan to feel like fighting this guy. "Hmn... Y'know, did anyone say anything about the... extreme approach this plan of yours takes? Did anyone -consider- a more diplomatic approach? The way you explain it, it seems like you have everyone's best interests in mind... but attacking the school like this makes you look like the bad guys. I don't really want to help you... first impressions and all that, y'know. And you say this guy's been like this since the War...ring... S..."
Wait a minute... Waaaait a minute. Did she hear that right? "W-Warring States!? Sengoku Jidai?! You mean the Muromachi Period?! J-just how old is this guy supposed to be, anyway! And what does that make you!? What do you mean, 'reincarnated'?! I think you need to explain things a little better, Yoshishige-san!" Ah... that reminds her. "A-ah... Since I know your name... I suppose I should tell you mine. Regan Hiryuu. N-now explain yourself!" The name may ring a bell, if this guy is actually from so long ago. The Hiryuu family is old, and the prestige and wealth is only a recent addition from marriage with an overseas businessman. However, the family has always had very capable swordsmen within it. Perhaps it is more notable for it's stubborn clinging to the very old ways of a female head of household, even going so far as to unabashedly put out very capable female warriors.

Ellen Galietsu, Senior Martial Artist Been there done that messed around I'm having fun don't put me down I'll never let ya sweep me off my feet I won't let you in again The messages I've tried to send The information's just not going in.Ellen listened attentively to the words of Satake as he spoke of Motonari Mori. This warlord didn't sound like a gentlemen at all. "That... that guy sounds like a real d-bag..." So if that man were to take over, what kind of country would Japan become? A horrible one indeed. The way Satake would have liked to handle it sounded like something Ellen would do, just stomp right up to Motonari and just take it on from there. But what the armored man said next startled Ellen. She was about to say something else, but what Regan pointed out caught Ellen's attention. So many out of the ordinary things were happening that she didn't notice that they were facing reincarnations from the Sengoku era. Armor that belonged to the warriors of her ancestors.
"She does strike a point, why are you and your allies dressed in armor? I've seen so many strange things, but I've never noticed why you dress like... that." She waved a hand in circles at Satake beckoning to his heavy armor. And in the back of her head she kept wondering if Amago would keep his word and kill a student every ten minutes. He couldn't be that evil for a good cause... right?

Satake Yoshishige, Proud and Just Samurai
"What? Don't you guys watch the news?" the samurai raised an eyebrow lazily and scratched the back of his head in thought, wondering how it was that these people hadn't figured out what was going on with all of the 'Devil Kings' who were springing up and making themselves known of late, "you've heard the names, right? Motonari Mori the Shogun, Date Masamune was the general who ended this town's Lockdown, and Mitsunari Ishida, the general of the Western Devil Kings who 'allegedly' assassinated the Emperor...they're all Devil Kings, reincarnated spirits from the days of the Warring States. We were called back by the government and raised to follow their orders...they just underestimated the strength of our will. But I'm not really supposed to talk about that...anyway, that's why we wear armor. It's just natural to warriors like us, I guess." The large man tried to think of what else he could say, what else he should say. How could he explain to them that they had been called back from death and reincarnated by the government as a special military unit for dealing with supernatural threats using their unique talents? It all sounded like bologna and conspiracy theories, and Satake himself had to admit that if he were listening to it, he probably wouldn't want to believe it, either. Besides that, there were sensitive details he couldn't explain, sworn to secrecy as he was. Maybe he wasn't with them anymore, but still...an oath was an oath to him.
"And like I said, we considered every approach we could think of. Diplomacy, direct assault...the sad fact is, we don't have a single thing on him, and he's ruthless enough that if we put ourselves out in the open like that, there's no doubt he would take the opportunity to finish us. That's why we need the girl...because as far as I know, that's Motonari Mori's only weak spot. ...Assuming it all isn't just some trap for us," he sighed again, feeling a bit of the weight of futility bearing down upon him. Could this plan really work? Did they have any choice? They could have stayed hidden away, but what good would it have done if they couldn't stop him? This was the only time they had ever had leverage they could use against him...for the country's future, they had to do what they had to do. That's just how it was. "If we're gonna be the villains for it, then I guess we'll just be the villains. I'll take your judgment when it's all over."

"Watching the news or not, I don't think that would make any of this make anymore sense." Regan shakes her head, frowning softly to herself as she faces the larger man. "I thought they were all just pulling names from the past, not actually... FROM the past... Even now, it all sounds so far-fetched." She looks the man in the eye, watching him for a moment before turning away and sighing. "And this would all be easier if you were lying... but you're not. But hey, chin up. If you go through all this just to lose because you gave up, I couldn't forgive you." She grins at him, looking over her shoulder to see a schoolmate of hers, seemingly quite nervous. "... if any of my friends get hurt, I couldn't forgive you either, though... guilt by association's a b***h."
With that, she shrugs and turns, approaching Kanade and smiling gently, warmly. "Hey there, sweetheart. You doin' alright? Want some water or somethin'? No need to be nervous, this guy's not mean or anything. I dare suspect he's a big ol' teddy bear." Regan looks over her shoulder and chuckles softly to herself before turning back to Kanade. "Mmm... but if he's what was scary, you wouldn't still be here, would you...? So what's on your mind, pretty girl?"

"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial Kuro merely stood by and listened as Regan and the others spoke amongst each other. She wasn't going to provide much help there, so she took a nervous breath, and shook her head again. Ugh. She trudged to a nearby wall and slumped her back against it before sliding down to sit on the floor, using the bat in her hand as a support so she didn't fall too fast. This stressor was too much at once. Maybe if she just...sat here quietly it would all go away? No, probably not. But better than suddenly losing it and swinging at the nearest person.

Ellen Galietsu, Senior Martial Artist Been there done that messed around I'm having fun don't put me down I'll never let ya sweep me off my feet I won't let you in again The messages I've tried to send The information's just not going in.Ellen wasn't at all dazed by Satake's answer, she was a little questioning, but she was easily able to digest the fact he was an incarnation, giving an understanding nod as Satake told him about being risen spirits. After fighting so many demons and monsters and shadows, anything was able to happen, raining cats and dogs? Just another day in Inaba. As Satake went on about other choices being a bad choice, Ellen was conflicting with herself with deciding if the Amago group was really not so bad after all. It really did sound like it was for a good cause, but the hostages... the hostages! As Regan went over to Kanade, Ellen was still feeling apprehensive about their plan. "I don't see you as a villain at all, more like... an anti-hero. Yeah, that's a good word for your group. Why take this plan to such an extent? As long as this Minori won't be getting hurt, I would be okay with this. But why now? Why not kidnap her after school? I mean it's still a bad thing, but I think the hostage part is a liiiiiiiiiitle bit too far. I guarantee that someone probably called the police..."
Ellen furrowed her eyebrows in thought as she tried to think of a good question to ask, but curiosity got the best of her. "So... uh, your leader kinda used sand in a magical way, so do all of you samurai guys have super powers or something?" Yes. Ellen already knew the answer as she felt power radiating off of Satake, but she wanted to appear clueless, like she didn't know what was going on, as if she didn't have any powers at all. Well, she did want to know if they had any specific powers among them....

Satake Yoshishige, Proud and Just Samurai
It was true, there wasn't a lot about the Devil King project that made logical sense; the supernatural rarely made a whole lot of sense anyway but their lot was a particularly confusing case. He could understand why they were all somewhat disoriented by the very idea, by his armor, by the names ripped right out of the history books and slathered all over the news reels. He wanted to help the kids to understand what it was they intended to do, that they didn't want to hurt anyone, but if they couldn't understand he wouldn't blame them either. They seemed like the villains, and by their actions alone, they were. One day, though, maybe they would understand...the large man just hoped that Regan's words didn't turn out to be prophetic, that one of the kids in this school might end up hurt at the end of all this mess. It wasn't in the plan, but...once Mori found out what was going on here, at what length would he stop? They were taking a bit of a gamble that this wasn't a set-up, that he wouldn't hurt the girl that was to become his wife, that he wouldn't risk a bunch of schoolchildren with the eyes of the country turned upon them, that he had a single shred of human decency inside of him...yeah, they were taking a gamble. But it was the only chance they had. Still, how did you explain that to the people you were using to make that play? Perhaps Anegakoji could explain it, but for a slower guy like Yoshishige Satake, it was just too much.
"We won't give up...we wouldn't go this far if we weren't in it for the long haul," the samurai explained as he watched Regan retreat into her own world, talking to Kanade, before Ellen caught his attention, "Anti-Hero? I don't know about that...but the truth is, we made our move now to make sure we got his attention...and everyone else's. We want the whole country to see what happens...that way he can't weasel out of this or sacrifice any innocents. It'd blow his 'heroic' image." That explained that part, and Satake couldn't help but feel a bit tired after explaining everything. Not physically, but perhaps a bit mentally. Thinking too much always made his head hurt...he wished everything could be more simple. Though the exhaustion was relieved by a deep, hardy laughter at her next question. Magical sand powers...super powers? "You make it sound so cool. But I guess you could say we've got some power. Amago's a master of sand manipulation, and Yoritsuna's got his thing with trees. Harumasa's into some dark magic, restoration. And Hirotsuna is a master of the spear, martial arts, and the manipulation of water. He's pretty clever, that one. But uh...you didn't hear any of this from me."

Emile Kalar It was impossible to doubt the words of Satake, after all they were trapped inside of the school because of sand. He wondered how everyone out side the school was taking this after all kind of hard to over look a entire school that is covered in sand. But it was still confusing about these people having powers. He grew up reading about having fabled powers in literature but it actually being reality, that its self was a whole different world but there was no denying it was realty. That or this is one REALLY f-ed up dream.
"That still leaves you. Or are you just a experienced warrior in your own right?" Emile was tempted to make a comment on how they just made a lot more enemies in their gambit, but Emile could find any anger in him about. Satake was to kind for a man to be apart of a hostage situation in this manner. There was an vibe about Satake that Emile felt. One that if things really escalated Satake would be the one to step in their place. Or it could be mind games to induce a false sense of security, Emile reminded him self after all it would be an insult if he killed cause his back was turned. Still, Emile could not shake that feeling.

Ellen Galietsu, Senior Martial Artist Been there done that messed around I'm having fun don't put me down I'll never let ya sweep me off my feet I won't let you in again The messages I've tried to send The information's just not going in.A hand went over Ellen's mouth to hide the small smile on her lips as Satake laughed, geez, this man seemed more like an uncle than an enemy. It getting more harder for Ellen to remain angry at Satake, for a little bit. As Satake was explaining what his teammates would do, Ellen nodded as if this was normal, which pretty much was for her, considering that she had was used to supernatural happening in Inaba, forgetting for a brief moment about pretending to play dumb. She opened her mouth to talk, but for a second she felt some energy that felt something like sonar waves over her, then go back into a single point somewhere in the school. It was only felt for a split second, but she could swear that the power she felt was similar to her's, perhaps even more experienced.
Catching herself in a pause, she quickly continued as the hiccup of concentration broke her train of thought. "That's... something... and right, you never told us any of this." Said Ellen as Satake finished explaining their powers, "But... what is your power?." So all the guys in the school had powers, which was a problem for Minori. If she didn't hand herself over then...
Out of nowhere, an very alarmed expression shot on Ellen's face, as if she just thought of the most important thing in the world that broke through the easing tension between Satake and the students, or at least that's how she felt. "Wait... wait! What if you guy's don't find her.. this Minori?! What if she doesn't hand herself over, and there's... a... a bloodbath of students?! He said that each ten minutes he'd kill somone. Each hour that's six students gone, and... that's... it's...not...!" Ellen couldn't find the right word for her thoughts. The sudden alarming thought made her skin on edge, thinking of how much time it is left until the first... Until the first student is murdered.

 Deadpool
School, a place where most students realize that their lives will be utterly pointless, that reality is the most horrible thing known to man. This is a place of great hardship, of great torture, but also of great fun! “The ******** are you talking about?” “Shut it telling story here!” What was good about school was that you would be able to grow in more ways than one, you will be able to have your first kiss with the world’s biggest slut, being able to sleep more than half of the cheerleading squad, and becoming prom queen. That was one of the foundations that made School bearable for the students, the high hopes of letting young hormones run wild throughout the hallways, “BUT THAT’S IN AMERICA WE’RE IN FREAKIN’ JAPAN….IN A SMALL VILLAGE….WITH NO CHEERLEADING SQUAD.” “QUIT RUINING THE MOOD DAMMIT The main point of it all is that school had it’s ups and it’s downs, but one of the greatest things about going to school was going to it while driving in your hot new ride. School was all about hot new rides, it gets the babes, it gives you respect, and let’s everyone know how much of a badass you can really be. Though really let’s be practical, this is Inaba, a small village that barely has rooms for cares. Hell it is surprising that anyone could even get a car around here cause the streets are the same as sidewalks, really what the hell is up with this town?! They needed to expand and make this s**t happen, but that is a story for another time. Anyways our hero, the crimson crusader, the nutcase with a mouth, the man that can get laid by lifting up his mask, DEADPOOL! Had just arrive to the scene! Well more like ridding to it… You see this was a big day for Deadpool, bigger than anything you can ever imagine. He had a mission, a mission that was going to decide his place in the world, he was going to fulfill it without any doubt!
“If I get this done then I. WILL BE AN AVENGER! I will have my own badge and everything. Think of the chimichangas I can eat!....Think of the TACO BELLS I CAN BUY WITH THE MONEY I WOULD BE MAKING!” This was like Christmas at the playboy mansion of our insane swordsman. With his Avenger status, he will be a somebody, and with his luck He will be a somebody with babes! Which why he had to speed it up! During the last time he made appearance, his Deadpool- Mobile, was tanked by freaking things (See Persona War I) which is why he needed a replacement! And that is how he received the Deadpool-Moblie mark 2… “It’s a pink bike….with a flower bag in the front…which you STOLE from a WOMAN!” “Oh Like you would do any better mr. ‘I’m black and stereotypical’” ….”Touché” Anyways! With the Deadpool-Mobile mark 2 “Pink Bike.” Deadpool was riding up towards the entrance, he figured that there were thing blocking his way, like a big boss, or just a door. To take down one or the other Deadpool had a decent plan to tackle such a threat in the most efficient way possible, “Blow it the Eff Up!” So as he cycled toward the door of the school Deadpool unleashed his little “PINEAPPLE SURPISE or in English….a grenade at the door. A Blast was made, large enough to shatter the door down, and through it was Deadpool , gliding through the air on his ride; and to his luck he was about to crash it right into Satake!

Satake Yoshishige, Proud and Just Samurai
Oh yeah! He had forgotten to say something about his own powers, but then, he didn't really think they were all that interesting when you got right down to the details of the matter. He could make the Earth rumble, wield a spear with pretty efficient skill, and his aerial attacks were incredibly sharp for a guy his size and weight. One wouldn't think it, but he could hold his own fairly well against some more agile combatants. But then, that wasn't really something he felt was worth bragging about. "To be honest, that part kind of got to me, too. Killing kids...that line wasn't exactly part of the plan. But I think it was just a bluff to get the girl to come out sooner...err...wait, none of you are that girl, are you? If so, pretend you didn't hear that," the large man sighed and scratched his head...he probably shouldn't have told them if Amago was bluffing, then they would be less inclined to actually get the girl to come out and talk to them. Still, he hated being dishonest. This whole thing was just starting to rub him the wrong way, even if they knew it was the only way, and... "...Hey, do you guys hear someth-?!" suddenly he knew what he was hearing, the sound of an incoming warrior screaming out an attack. Turning sharply (as sharply as his large, armored form would allow), he saw at the last moment a small object flung towards the door...a grenade, here?!...and on instinct he punched his right arm into the shoe locker beside him and pulled it in front of the kids with his back to the attacker! He felt the explosion burn into the flesh of his back and instantly shatter much of his heavy armor, glass cutting his arms and face, denting the shoe locker, but thankfully for all of them, it had held and prevented the attack from reaching the students who had gathered around him He took a deep breath as the force died down and pulled his hand out of the locker...turning, he spat a little crimson to the right and cracked his aching neck, ignoring the burning and bleeding running down his back side.
"You'd attack with explosives in a place full of kids? I guess that means he sent you, doesn't it?" the large samurai, peaceful before, growled in an obvious distaste...he could understand the attack on himself, but to not be conscious of civilians who could get hurt was still unforgivable, "It was nice talking to you kids...but you need to go. I don't know how to hold back when I fight, and I'd hate for one of you to get caught up in the crossfire." He said it honestly, gripping his spear stiffly in his hand as Deadpool rode closer on his...pretty bike?...and it was only after giving them a few moments to run that he raised his foot and stomped down heavily, the ground beneath his foot cracking into a crater at the move...a crack which rumbled across the way and tossed the bike and attacker into the air wildly, the earth no longer a welcoming place for either of them to stand. "Well...this is what we came here for. I'm Yoshishige Satake of the Satake Clan. And if it's you I've got to go through to get to that man, then I'll just walk a straight line through."Quote: Defend - Protect the students with a shoe locker and his own body from the explosion.
Sturdy Footing - Stomp heavily upon the earth for increased footing (can't be Dizzy or Dazed) and knock down opponents for Random Earth Damage.

"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial Things got a lot worse, and a lot louder, within a few moments. Kuro jumped, ducking her head under her arms as an explosion rocked the front of the school and blew in the door. Luckily it looked like Satake had protected them from the blast. Kuro immediately forced herself back onto her feet and scrambled to Regan, Ellen, and the others without giving it a second thought. Was she going to share the thought that was running through her head a moment ago before everything changed? Nope. She just stood near Ellen, staring as Satake took the strange guest on the bike on. There were really no words for this. "What...the hell?" She muttered. This was worse than anything her weird imagination could come up with.

Tink.
Regan's eyes widen as she hears that sound, her trained ears adjusting subtly as the muscles in her head flex. She's played enough video games in her free time to know the vague idea of what a grenade sounds like. She turns sharply, hair whipping in the air before she tackles Kanade to the ground, covering the meeker girl with her body. "Get down!" She braces for the explosion, gritting her teeth as the shockwave rips through the air around them. She looks over at Satake, remembering he had been standing over there... "Y-you idiot! Put the shoe locker on the -other- side of you!" She looks back at Kanade as she gets up, helping the girl to her feet. "C'mon, sweetheart. Stay behind me." She takes Kuro in, gently guiding the small girl closer. She watches as the two start their fight. She can practically feel Satake's immense strength, now that he's started fighting, now that he's raised his guard. This is out of her league... Damn!
Even so, the girl tosses the sword-bag aside, revealing the sheath as she slowly backs up toward the door back into the school. She holds the sheath at her side, hand on the hilt as she slowly edges her way away. "Go on, you two. I'll bring up the rear. Okay?" She smiles at Kuro and Kanade over her shoulder, before turning her gaze back toward the situation in front of her. Can't let her guard down until she's clear of this fight... "Satake! I better not come back and find you dead, you understand!?"
