Tarafa nodded in silent response to Yeye. She hadn't given much thought to the subject for so long and this conversation was beginning to spark ideas and concepts in her mind that weren't necessarily bad things. She'd have to sit down and give the whole thing serious thought in the near future.
The blue lioness was relieved, however, when the Matron turned their talk to something less personal. "Oh, there's plenty of that all around!" she replied cheerfully. "Cubs getting themselves into trouble, older cats embarrassing themselves, Mittere's terrorizing a third of the pride - same old, same old." She paused as something occurred to her. "I don't suppose you've met Mittere yet? Pink lioness, lots of scars? She was an outsider but she's kind of stuck here now. Interesting lioness." The Bard realized she was babbling and abruptly shut her mouth.

"I don't believe I have," Yeye said thoughtfully, an excited gleam coming into her eyes. A new lioness! She would have to make time to visit with and get to know the newcomer. New pride members were always so interesting; she'd heard word of a eerily cheerful, brightly-colored lioness as well, but the name escaped her for the moment.
"Dare I ask how she has been terrorizing the pride?" Oh, but... Yeye cast a look to the sky, and with a quiet sigh realized that she had used up most of her free time already. "Ah, but I am afraid that will have to keep for another time. Work never ceases, you know," she said with a smile. Ducking her head briefly in a good-bye, Yeye turned to head off again.
The duties of the head matron never ceased.
