Beta Flyer When will the X-Cup Teams be announced? First. Four federations need to be chosen. Then each of the four federations need to assign a team of five within their own federation. Finally, you assign one of the five to be Captain of the team. But, this doesn't even start until January.

Neo-Blade8 When/How do you pick the federations. Or are you just going to to do EEW,WWE:E,WWFG,EWA. That would mean the guild owners would have to allow permission, and I'm not entirely sure if I want EWA involved. X Cup really does nothing for the guilds at all.

Oh I just assumed those 4 big cause those are the big four (Except EEW can be negotiable.) But It wouldn't really do anything for a guild as big as EWA. But it would be cool to have more indy style guilds.

Yukari Clepsydra That would mean the guild owners would have to allow permission, and I'm not entirely sure if I want EWA involved. X Cup really does nothing for the guilds at all. Maybe so, but I assume that it gives some bragging rights to the winner and I hope pride to those in the federation. Neo-Blade8 But it would be cool to have more indy style guilds. Yes, it would be. And it would probably help the activity and popularity for the winning federation.

I don't know about you but I'm actually proud that EWA won 2nd place as best guild last year and it was its first time being nominated so you know.. BOSS, in addition EWA has a good chance of winning this year.. So come on, really don't need bragging rights there my friend.

But I was posting that to encourage others, that isn't the almighty EWA, ran by the grand legend Chrono. And no, I won't forget that.

Its not that, its the fact that X cup used to mean something now its like a chore, same with WGUT.. I don't even think you want to bring it back, you're just doing because its a yearly thing.. Most of the guilds seem like chores these days, where's the fun?

You bring up a good point. Running GWF feels like a chore, some matches, and making some promos feel like a chore.
And that's probably because when you start a guild, it's a new thing to create and then it becomes routine after awhile. Maybe within a year or two, most likely a year.
I don't do promo's on a regular basis, so it won't feel routine or like a chore, so that I won't fall into "running through the motions" or "half a** it".
Matches.. that's a minefield. So I'll try to keep it simple, by keeping it to my own personal preference. And that is, do a minimum of one or two guilds and I only have to remember and keep up with one or two matches. Plus, I don't make the mistake of putting the wrong opponents name or even posting a move in the wrong match. I know there are some out there that have done that.
But WGUT.. that is no chore to me. I look forward to doing that. I would like to do it annually, but results show that it's best to do it every other year, for best results.
As for X-Cup. The only thing I did for the last one was a patch job for the end of the 2009 one that was well into 2010. I'd like to see what I can do for the X-Cup in 2012. If it does horribly, than 2012 is it's last year.
