Taeryyn Yes, comrade. It's required by law, as per the All-Holy Homosexual Handbook, that we all have to dress a certain way. You're familiar with the look I'm talking about; it was described to you in detail, and you agreed to it when you were recruited as a child. (I shouldn't have to remind you of this.) Otherwise, the Wise and Fabulous Gay Leadership will take away your Gay membership card, burn your gay agenda, strike your name from the member list, and you will be excommunicated from the Kommunity for the rest of your life. So don't even think about throwing away your queer uniform, or you will spend the rest of your days languishing in unfashionable agony in the realm of Billy-Bob and Larry, the straight truckers. Shine those designer shoes, comrade. Button that pink cardigan, and adjust your jaunty hat. Slovenliness lets the breeders win. damn- i can't tip this cat_xd cat_xd cat_xd

i know that i wear what i want to wheather other people like it or not this has unfortunetly lead to everyone at my school that ive gone to for only a month think im a punk rocker that noone is surprised to learn is bi-sexual i do dress kinda like a guy compared to most other high school girls even with the worst uniforms ever (scrubbs) dispiate having to show up the our ugly uniform i manage to freak people out with all the skulls and s**t i wear
i really dont think that members of the gay community have to dress any certain way and it annoys me when people go 'well you dont dress like a gay' acording to most people i know f you dont dress like a stereotypical gay then you must be staright and be lying about your sexual orientation dont let the dumbasses and homophobes tell you what to do at all dress how ever you want to and if they dont like it then screw them

I wasn't aware that there were still clothing stereotypes for gay people. Even so, being straight, I suppose I can't answer this question the most accurately, since I'm pretty sure there are no clothing stereotypes for straight people. Judging by my style though, I could see people thinking that I'm a lesbian (going off of the "all lesbians are butch!" stereotype of the past). It's apparently abnormal for a tomboy to exist at the age of 18...

xXbelovedXxx I guess I don't wear sterio type clothing since most people can't figure out that I'm a lesbian.... I seriously have to write it out on my forehead and even then people don't get it stare I agree biggrin you think my ties would give it away but people still dont think I'm gay. oh and hi. XD

I feel like people (gays in this case) wear what they're comfortable in and by comfortable I mean the clothes they feel suit them best (Not the clothes that get them noticed or the clothes people would expect of them). So naturally a stereo types has been developed, like any other stereotype it does have its source. example: lesbians that dress a little more masculine because they feel it suits them better in regards to the gender they feel more associated with. But this doesn't necessarily mean that all gays have a ceratain way of dressing. It just so happens that the feminine male and masculine female attire stands out more and because of this has become the favored and socially accepted attire of homosexuals, probably because its easier to pick out. HOWEVER we don't all dress that way.
I personally love wearing ties but do so on my own accord and much to my amusement. Suits, ties and top hats have always been appealing to me for whatever reason.
