Billy shook Teddy by the shoulders and then patted his cheek...repeatedly, and then gave him a good smack on the face to snap him out of the stupor this supernatural experience had placed him in.
"Teddy!"
Billy gripped him hard by the shoulders and leaned down so that he could meet him at eye level.
"Teddy, that wasn't a kid! It was..."
Billy stopped anc closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. He couldn't believe that he almost said it was a ghost. But that was just silly, wasn't it?
Wasn't it?
But Billy had seen it too. He had seen it shift into something far more sinister when he had pointed his flashlight at it. Billy caressed Teddy's stinging cheek with his hand when he heard the sound of a child giggling. The noise made his blood curdle.
"Okay this is officially freaking me out!" Billy looked around before he looked back into the eyes of his partner. "Okay screw the find. We're getting the hell out of here!"
Billy grabbed Teddy by the hand and pulled him up and turned to leave and froze; standing at the end of the hall was that child again, holding the hand of a woman. Her clothes were soaked with ocean water and in a tattered state ... bullet holes? And the very garment was stained in crimson. Her blood soaked hair was hanging over her face and her skin was sickly white.
The child pointed at them.
"They wouldn't help me find you mommy." He said in a squeeky voice. "Punish them."
The "female" let go of the child's hand and started limping toward both young men, dragging one foot feebly behind her.

x The gentle taps, soothing, like a cat batting at your face, rousing you to wakefulness. It reminded him of their cat back home, and for a second he thought maybe he was back there, in his own bed, and this was all just a dream. That was until Billy slapped him full across the face. "Ouch!" he said, scowling as his hand moved to his wounded cheek. "What the heck?!"
Teddy slowly got to his feet, finding himself in a slumped position on the floor. Very uncomfortable really. Why was he even sitting like that? For a second, he felt off kilter, and he placed his hands on Billy's shoulders until he got his balance. "What happened?"
He noticed that Billy wasn't looking at him, but at something behind him, surprised. The words he was saying began to slowly filter into Teddy's head, and he looked over his shoulder to see the woman he had seen before, creeping slowly down the hallway towards them, the little boy behind her.
His mother...
Was that her? She wasn't particularly looking too well. Quickly, he turned Billy around and shoved him from the room, following after. "We should go."

Billy was pushed out into the hallway and he turned around as Teddy stepped hurriedly into the outer corridor after him. Billy glanced to the side of the hall and saw a fallen mop and he hurried to the door as Teddy slammed it shut. Billy wedged the mop's long pole into the handle of the door and against the frame to jam it.
"There." Billy breathed deep. "That should help." He looked to Teddy. "What in Hell is going on...?"
And through the door plunged a hand clutching a dagger that found a place in Billy's shoulder!
"Ahhhhh!" Billy cried as he fell back, clutching the handle of the blade that protruded from his shoulder and he cracked his head against the wall and slumped down, stunned.

x __________________The walls of the ship around Betsy and Todd had started to trickle blood... A child's voice started to sing, "The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout...." And spiders started to crawl out of the vents of the ship and they skittered toward Betsy and Todd... ***** Billy was dazed on the floor of the corridor, the smell of copper strong as his shoulder was wet with blood. He blinked in a daze. There was water in the corridor. Where did that come from? It wasn't deep. but in his seated position it reached his waist. And at the end of the hallway, faces started to rise from the dark waters. Ghastly white faces with empty eyes... **giggles**

Besty, having a bit of a rough day so far was tarting to get a little angry at all the shite that was happening to them! At lease she could understand ghosts, deadly piano's and spiders AFTER the booty was found, having been curse or something! But before? This was just ridiculous!
She got up running to the Ax that was hanging in the wall in case of emergency, well this was a bloody emergency! She handed it off to Todd who was going to work on the Spiders!
Betsy on the other had used the panel next to it, the Fire Extinguisher ans started blasting the spiders with it freezing the water even more, and freezing the spiders along with it!
"Take that you disgusting filthy critters!"
Betsy and Todd slowly started backing out of the room to the doorway.

x There was a brief moment of panic as he saw Billy collapse, and it soon became a major moment of panic when he saw that Billy was bleeding. As if to make matters worse, his feet were wet.
Teddy looked at the water slowly pooling about his feet, and he slid his hands under Billy's armpits, hoisting him up over his shoulder. He had no other choice but to run. "Ok babe," he said, talking to keep Billy with him as best he could, "I'm going to get you out of here. Don't look behind us, just close your eyes and think about everything that lays ahead. It'll be awesome, and we won't ever have to do this again. No treasure is worth this heinous s**t."
Teddy took off down the hallway, hearing the sounds of voices whispering after them. He only hoped that he could run away fast enough.
