Christof glanced down at the comment about elections, a tight noise escaping his throat before the ink-smudge bobbed in a nod. "Hrnn!" He seemed to brighten up at the last at the following comment, happy for a change of topic. The notebook returned:
Yes! It is v. enjoyable. M. Barth taught me. Says I'm a natural. You enjoyed class? Anything you would like to see? Interested in constructionism?

Honestly, it just made Lattice more sympathetic toward Christof's plight. It must be difficult serving two people like that though she wasn't aware of the history they had. She read his next series of notes thoughtfully, "I did enjoy it. I learned something new for certain. I am not sure I was very ... good at it. I think I was a bit poor with my attempt, but I wouldn't mind seeing what you have built."
Seeing being more of a figurative term where she was concerned.
"Interested, yes, but I think it is best I leave those that have a talent for it to do the work and I will just admire it," she smiled softly at Christof.

He glanced down at his feet, rubbing the back of his head bashfully a few moments before remembering she couldn't exactly follow his hand motions, and returned to the notes:
Seems you draw very lovely. Maybe try drafting blueprints sometime? I'm not so good at that. Easier to take things apart and just put them back.

Lattice seemed thoughtful at his words, "I have never drafted anything before, perhaps one day you could show me some examples and I will try my hand at some for you," she offered quietly, "maybe I can be of assistance to you if you need some."
The ghoul seemed happy to help the patchwork boil.
"Taking things apart must be very interesting, a chance to see what holds things together and makes them work," she said seeming to try and imagine it but with her vision her imagination likely fell just short of what was actually experienced by Christof or anyone else that could see perfectly well.
She let out a thoughtful hmm, "You might say I specialize in adding things to the body, only tattoos mind you, but still it is an addition even if it is cosmetic..."

Tattoos? He glanced down at the demon mark covering his right hand, and the hint of red peeking out of the collar of his shirt before pulling up the paper,
Tattoos? Like Demon Marks? Are you a demon?

She shook her head a bit, "No I am not a demon," Lattice replied with a small chuckle. "Tattoos are different from a demon mark. For example if you are demon marked I cannot see them. Now if they were tattoos done with ink then I would see them perfectly fine. Tattoos are more about the emotion of the person receiving them - at least for us Engravers."
It was a lifetime commitment to get a tattoo and to have ink stain your skin for all time.

Christof thought this over, brows furrowing before writing:
Had an arm with a tattoo once. Lost it, unfortunately. It wasn't a very good arm anyway.
Tattoos... permanent marks on most people's skin. Something personal, not just a sign of Contract. He paused in his writing a moment before adding:
If... these tattoo marks are ever needed, would be smart to talk to you or your sister?
