"...and of course the valves need to be- Pardon?" Frost blinked, enthusiasm mode swiftly shutting down to be replaced with cool efficiency. "You are correct, they seem to have vanished. Mmmh. Well they can't have gone very far." So saying, Frost gave a piercing whistle and the cast around expectantly.

Skrion's ears perked up at the whistle, Nodding to the strange female, and brushing his tail briefly against Xina's, he trotted out from behind cover and chirped to Frost.

"Ah," Frost gave a satisfied nod, "there is Skiron, and I assume Alexina with him." Where somebody else might have added 'I wonder what they're up to', Frost just set off to find out.

Alexina relaxed somewhat when Skiron's tail brushed against hers, and her fur smoothed back down - not that it had been noticeably raised in the first place.

Claire smiled as Skiron stepped into view - Xina didn't bother moving, but the agent knew her Glaceon wouldn't stray far from Frost's - then followed after her companion. She was curious what the pair were getting into, and obviously he was too, even if he didn't voice it.

One of Celsius's ears flicked towards the sound of crunching snow drawing nearer, and slowly raised herself onto all four paws. Despite being completely alert, her posture remained relaxed and unconcerned. she said in her airy voice,

Skrion turned to nod at Celsius, And then he saw the problem. Frost was looking for additions to his team. Celsius was clearly a fine specimen. This could add up to an unfortunate equation.

Frost came up beside his pokemon and was just acknowledging him with a nod when he spotted a third Glaceon. A very nice Glaceon. "Well well, it seems our two have made a new friend," Frost murmured softly. Yes. That would do very nicely indeed.

Claire wasn't far behind Frost, but she didn't see the third Glaceon until Frost spoke and she halted beside him. "Ooh, how pretty," she commented. Well, that hadn't taken very long at all. But would he be able to catch it?

Celsius murmured. She didn't sound very concerned, even as the pair of humans came in sight and obviously saw her.

Alexina, however, was more concerned. Skiron's human wanted another Glaceon? This Glaceon? A female Glaceon. A female Glaceon that wasn't Xina herself. This didn't sit well with her at all.

Unlike the stiff, striped Glaceon nearby, Celsius stretched out her paws as far out in front of her as she could, back arched and paws splayed. She still didn't look at all concerned - but in a moment she jumped from that position and dashed off towards a small copse of snow-covered pine trees.

As the Glaceon took off across the snow Frost scowled. “Blast.” Just exactly what he needed. “Koios! Your assistance if you please!” A whooshing noise behind him announced the steel type’s approach and confident in his pokemon associate Frost jumped into the air, allowing the Metang’s power to tug him down on top of it. Crouching down he took the dusk ball from his belt and enlarged it in readiness for battle. “After it. Go.” Getting away was not going to be as easy as that.

Giving a hum of acknowledgement Koios shot after the retreating ice type, holding its human friend firmly in place. It would have no part of violence, but it was fond of Frost and quite prepared to help him catch up and to shield him if things turned nasty.

<...Oh dear,> Skiron murmured as his trainer shot away over the surface of the snow. Much as he generally abided by his trainer’s wishes, and instinctively felt he should do now as well, the other Glaceon’s reaction indicated in no uncertain terms that she wanted nothing to do with humans and it felt wrong to fight against one of his own kind like that somehow. If she wanted her freedom, surely she had a right to it?

Alexina's ears twisted back uncertainly, and she lowered herself a couple inches towards the snow.

"Xina, go on and help Frost," Claire said with a shooing gesture of one hand, the other dipping into her coat pocket to pull out Odette's pokeball. She vaguely wondered why Skiron hadn't run off to help as well, but dismissed it as she released the very irritated-looking bird, and in a moment the pair were flying after the blond man.

Alexina flinched a bit as her owner gave her order, and she started running after her. It was obvious she didn't want to be captured though...

Celsius inhaled deeply, keeping up her swift pace as she easily rounded a sharp corner and flew down a slope - metaphorically speaking, of course. She chanced a quick glance behind her to se-- yep, he was still after her. No matter - although the pokemon he rode piqued her interest. She called behind her before she easily leapt over a snow-covered log and quickened her pace.

That was that then. As Alexina set off Skiron sprang away too. he responded, He’d never lived wild. What would it be like to go from that to being owned?

Koios hummed. Its own free will had led it to Team Rocket, and it retained its free will. It was not like Skiron and Persephone. It was not owned, it merely chose to work with Frost. Was it right of it to help him to take away another’s freedom, just as its own had been taken by the trainer it had been sold to?

“No need to catch up right away Koios. Tire it out first; that will make things easier.”

Koios gave an uneasy hum and continued on after the Glaceon, on her heels but not closing that last gap.

Xina began with a frown, but allowed Skiron to catch up before matching his pace, Were they supposed to help him even then? She wasn't sure at all..

"Pidgeoo..." Odette cooed uncertainly as she easily caught up to Frost, and her gray eyes focused on the Glaceon running ahead of them. The sooner he caught it, the sooner they could leave.

Celsius affirmed as she headed for another group of trees and slipped between the thin gaps between them and continued sprinting. Perhaps talking while running wasn't the best idea... It was starting to wear her out.

Skiron replied, leaping over a large rock in his path.

It wasn’t right to take her away from her friend and her home.... It would not help any further. the Metang hummed, abruptly coming to a halt and releasing its grip on the human. A moment after it did this it realised that, thanks to the laws of inertia, letting go had been a really poor idea.

One moment they had been making good progress towards the treeline, and the next he was making progress alone. “Oh f-” Whatever the rest of that sentence had been going to be was cut off by Frost’s rapid introduction to a large snowdrift.

Alexina skidded to a halt in the snow as Frost was suddenly and abruptly launched off the Metang. Oh dear...The Glaceon hadn't taken two steps before Odette landed next to her and Claire waved her off towards their target.

"Go on, after it. Don't lose it." A short pause turned into a staring contest (during which her Pidgeot was recalled) before the agent waved her off again, her tone firm. "Go." With an uncertain "glaaas" the ice-type complied, and Xina sprang away after the wild Glaceon. "Are you alright Frost?" Claire asked, jogging over to see if she could help him up, and offered her gloved hand. "What happened?" Why had Koios stopped suddenly?

Celsius called, a light laugh mixed in with her airy tones. She continued a safe distance before ducking behind a large bush. It didn't take long for Alexina to catch up at all, and there was a distinct lack of battling going on once she had.

Frost clambered out of the snowdrift face deadpan, rolling his left shoulder experimentally and most pointedly not swearing. The amount of not swearing he was doing could probably have been detected from space. "Fiddlesticks," he concluded once he had determined that everything still worked. "I am undamaged thank you Claire. Koios. What the heck was that about?" The Glaceon was getting away! Skiron and Alexina were still in hot pursuit though, which was something.

"Me....tang."

"Don't you 'Metang' me," Frost scowled, "I could have broken my blasted neck in there, or cracking my skull open, and my prey is rapidly disappearing into the trees.... Oh nevermind, I couldn't understand anything you tried to tell me in any case; if you can't do anything useful kindly stay out of my way." With that rather curt request Frost turned back to Claire; "No sense wasting time," he said simply before taking off through the trees after the trio of Glaceon. He really wasn't wearing the right footwear for running, but at least the boots protected him from potential snagging bracken. The ice types were a long way ahead now and still gaining ground - cursed bipedal plantigrade construction - but there was nothing he could do about that either. Hopefully Skiron and Alexina would subdue the wild Glaceon between them; all he would have to do then was meet up with them and capture it.

Skiron had paused only for long enough to make sure his trainer wasn't hurt before running onward again, struggling to close the gap between himself and Celsius. He was fit, but she was larger than he and knew the land. He could try to slow her with an attack... but that would mean committing to fighting her and he still didn't think he wanted to do that. He had no doubt that he and Alexina could take down the wild Galceon, but it didn't seem right to do so. Skiron called. Insubordination. He couldn't remember the last time he'd disobeyed Snowy; it felt wrong, but not quite as wrong as aiding in the capture of Celsius.

Claire watched the exchange with raised brows, but at least he wasn't hurt, so with a short, resigned sigh she set off after him and the Glaceon. She wasn't exactly wearing running shoes either, but at least she wouldn't fall too far behind.

Alexina was hard-pressed to keep up with Celsius. The terrain was foreign, she was definitely not used to running so much, and was starting to tire quickly.

The wild ice-type didn't pause or slow her pace, instead twisting an ear to catch Skiron's words. She called back, the hint of a smile in her tone. There was a pause as she leapt over a small mound of snow.

They had been running downhill on a gentle slope, a hill slowly rising up next to them, but the grade suddenly increased - Celsius easily flew down the hill while Xina stumbled once or twice and lost quite a bit of ground - before it became rather steep and Celsius banked off to one side, hugging the hill that suddenly became the base of a rocky outcropping. There were several alcoves and caves throughout the base and the wall, and the Glaceon dashed into one of the largest ones on the ground.

"Ah-ha!" Frost came to a halt in the mouth of the cave and took Persephone's pokeball from his belt. "I have you now!"

Skiron said with a touch of uncertainty, moving to stand in front of his trainer with his ears perked up alertly. he went on, even though he knew he wasn't being understood, He really wasn't used to defying Frost, even in the calm polite way he was at the moment.

Claire came to a halt a few feet behind Frost, trying to ignore how the cold air felt like it was biting her lungs as she tried to catch her breath. She wasn't used to running in snow boots and full winter garb. "Where did it go?" She hadn't seen where the Glaceon went, but apparently Frost had.

Alexina finally stumbled to a stop near her trainer, and flopped her rump down into the snow as she panted heavily. She was not made to run, ugh. They wouldn't run anymore for now, would they? She certainly hoped not. The slender ice-type also hoped that Frost wouldn't succeed in catching that other female. Just the thought made her fur bristle, but she was too winded at the moment to do anything about it.

There had been a dim, greenish-blue light flickering from somewhere inside the cave, but at Frost's exclamation it suddenly brightened up and reflected off the cave wall nearby. It appeared as if the source was hidden behind a boulder deeper in the cave.

Frost looked down at Skiron with his lips pursed. "You are being peculiar today," he observed, "are you averse to me catching her or something?"

The ice type nodded.

Frost frowned. "Why?"

Skiron gave him a slightly frustrated look and flicked his tail; language barriers!

"Mmmh, well I intend to investigate nevertheless, I wish to know what is making that light," the blond said firmly, releasing Persephone from her pokeball and stepping inside the cave.
