Edel seemed to be enjoying the music. At least the double yest made the demon assume she was. But she requested something softer. The demon had to think for a moment before fumbling for his eyepod again to search for a different song. He scrolled down his choices and came to one that maybe she'd like. It was a remix of twinkle twinkle little scar. She'd asked him if he knew it after all. "There. I think this one maybe?" He tilted his head up at her. "Its not as cool as some others I have. Though.."

They had remixes of that too?
Edel was pleasantly surprised and pretty amazed. Sure there were twelve variations of it but she had never heard it to be interpreted like this before.
Could it possibly mean they've done the same for other classical music pieces as well. The ghoul was deeply enchanted by the thought.
“Not as cool as the others? Are there more songs in there?” Edel asked curiously. The ghoul sat up straight and craned her head to take a peek at the eyepod the boil was holding. Just how many songs could fit in there? At least for the ghoul, one vinyl record meant one song.

Charlie looked up at the older ghoul and nodded happily. He handed her the eyepod. "Sure are ~ Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and ... Umm.. You can scroll through and find some you like. " He was happily demonstrating how to scroll through the songs.

For a long while, Edel was very quiet as she stared hard and navigated her way through the playlists, her eyes darting up and down the screen. She was even nodding her head and humming to the beat of the few songs she sampled from Charlie's eyepod. Pop music, while entirely foreign to her, didn't quite too bad at all. Techno had a really strong beat but metal .... not too ready for that yet.
Realising she might be overstaying her welcome with regards to the use of his headphones, the frost demon popped them off and held them out to Charlie to return them. “Thank you! I liked quite a few of the songs in there,” cue in more stupid rhetorical questions, “They do have these headphones and wickedly clever device in the maul don't they?”
If there was any indication of how hopelessly excited and happy she was, the ghoul already had a tune stuck in her head and was playing it out on the piano by ear.

Charlie took a lot of pleasure from watching Edel scroll through his play list. There was just something enjoyable about sharing music. Music was soul so it was almost like sharing a small part of your self with another person. Even if you didn't write the song your self, your tastes reflected who you were. Well, okay, Charlie wasn't that deep. But he did enjoy Edel listening to his eyepod. Her approval of some of the songs just made him glow all that more. "Clever?" He grinned and accepted his headphones back. "It is clever isn't it. Yeah. Mine were a gift but I've seen em at the maul before," He put the headphones back around his neck. "They have newer models then this one. Mines not even in color. But they got screens that you can touch and do all kinds of things and play games and and ..." He had to think about it for a moment. Charlies train of thought seemed to have come to a stop.

There were two demons sitting on the piano bench that day, glowing ever so blindingly brightly.
The frost demon was listening very attentively to Charlie rattle on about those awesome shiny gadget when he suddenly stopped. Edel's eyes widened in surprise, leaning to her side to peer at the boil curiously, wondering what was wrong.
Should she panic a little? Maybe. But perhaps she should see what happens next...

Edel was close now. Peering at him. Charlie stared back at her. Finally he determined that this was not a game after all and opened his mouth. "Something wrong?" He tilted his head.

Charlie's next few words came as a shock to the ghoul, who immediately jolted to the side as soon as he said that. But wasn't he the one -
Alright, never mind that.
“Oh nonono, nothing at all” Edel had come to the conclusion that she didn't quite understand the fallen angel at times. “Just that uhm... it's nice meeting you!” The frost demon didn't know what to do next, so she settled for gingerly taking the empty sleeves and shaking them.
Right. Uhm. Hm. Edel mentally face-palmed. She was really bad at this.

"Its really nice meeting you too~" The demon chirped. But he was confused why Edel was saying it was nice meeting him. OH. Maybe she had to go. Charlie might be holding her up for something. "Hey. I'll see you around some time okay? You can teach me more about that fah so doh koh boh soh star stuff. On that thing," He pointed to the piano, "But .. uh.. Catch you round~" He smiled and helped him self off the stool. The demon headed out of the room with a skip in his step. As quickly as he had come, Charlie was now gone.

Cold, Cold wind blew past the ghoul as she watched Charlie skip off. The full extent of her social awkwardness was revealed today.
Yes.
A-Am I really that terrible with people? she wondered, a guilty conscience weighing heavily down upon her. Had she been too unfriendly? Strange? Edel was rather mortified.
Or maybe she just really didn't understand kids. Either way, today had been a rather interesting day.
