Volatile? Oh, some of his family could definitely be regarded as volatile, that was for sure. His father was a great hunter, and his sister was too, though she was always a little more... volatile than their father. And then he could also assume that the kalona parts of his family were violent too, but he hadn't met anyone else. Maybe someday he would, but for the time being, he was content being who he was, even if he didn't quite know who that really was yet. "I couldn't have put it better myself." He ruffled his wings, lifting them slightly. They would grow heavy when wet, but he didn't particularly feel like flying just yet, so that shouldn't be a problem. "Rain , too?" Lifting his head upwards, "The storm is complete now. A dark symphony of the skies." A smirk, he liked that.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Ashe could feel her hair frizzling up in the wetness of the storm, feel the sting of water on her face. It was refreshing and mesmerizing all at once. She felt apart of the storm as if somehow it was displaying the torrents of emotion in her body. "A whole symphony simply for our pleasure." She couldn't help but let out a peal of laughter. "Do you think that maybe, this is a symphony only for our pleasure? Who else, around here, I wonder enjoys these storms?"

Just for them? He turned his head to look at Ashe once more, eyes shining dark before he allowed himself to laugh at that thought also. "Perhaps...." Unfolding his legs and standing back up, Acanthus took a few steps to the side so that he could release his wings entirely. Allowing them to stretch to their full potential, he closed his eyes and lifted his nose to the wind. "Perhaps this wonderful gathering of powers is a show just for us. Here to help our strength grow stronger, and urge us to find more adventure. And to warn others to stay out of our way." His brow furrowed the slightest, a darker glean to his canines. For a moment he could feel himself grow stronger as if the winds themselves wove their way into his lungs. His tail whipped back and forth as he began to flap his wings, though slowly enough that he merely pushed the air about but did not lift off the ground.

Nyx Queen of Darkness "I don't think they know who they're dealing with, if they plan to make me stronger. I don't think I can get anymore stronger that I am. Though, others should be warned." The storm felt so heady, she felt invincible. "But I guess, it's just...something to remind us how strong we are when we need it most." Shutting her eyes, she breathed in the earthy smell of dirt mixing with water. The clean scent of a storm washing everything away that didn't hold itself down.

The pair seemed to be having two separate conversations, but yet it was the same one. They both had emotions and unspoken thoughts milling about their heads, and as for Acanthus, he really didn't understand them. A snort escaped him when the mare said others should be warned. "Oh yes, warned they should be... but whether that helps them or not..." Sneering remarks, really, this was a side of Acanthus that was not always seen by others, or quite often the last side they chose to see before quickly parting ways. He had never killed another soquili, but in this sort of mood nothing was out of the question should there be reason behind it. He felt empowered by the mighty winds, and as if from no where he felt the urge to hunt, to kill. Even his aura seemed to change to a darker, more menacing one.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Ashe tilted her head and looked at him. She could see that he too was sucumbing to the winds and the storm. It's beauty empowering and threanting. It's very life force seeping into their bodies like some kind of charge. His thoughts were darker, maybe she should be frightened. But she couldn't hide her intrigue. "Maybe you'd rather them find out face to face then?" A soft smile played at her lips, and crazily enough--even now she didn't feel in danger.

Face them, she suggested. Face them? Hmmm... what an intriguing idea... Whipping around on the spot, dipping his wings down as he turned but immediately striking them back out once he's turned, creating a sudden lack of wind in front of the small cerynei, a lull in the storm, if a small one. Lowering his head to almost her level, his eyes followed hers and he growled at her, "That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Tilting his head to one side as he picked up on her smile he pulled his head back once more and bent the tips of his wings forward, almost creating an embrace between them. "Ever hunted, Ashe?" Though it was an ambiguous question, left hanging whether he was asking if she had ever been hunted, or if she had ever gone hunting, he had no real intention of harming her, after all she had not given him reason to do so. He was however, intrigued at how brave she was. So small, yet so strong. She had obviously not been exaggerating when she spoke of the storm embracing and empowering her. It was definitely interesting to the giant mix-breed.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Ashe considered him unblinkingly, "I can't say that I have hunted. And not to my knowledge have I been hunted." Was he trying to scare her? She wasn't scared that easily, a long time ago...once, in a fire...she'd been somewhat afraid. But she has survived and overcome, the long one of her family. What could he do to her to make her forget that heady feeling? "Who do you plan to hunt Acanthus?" She raised an eyeybrow, her hair blowing in the wind and whipping into her face.

She barely even moved in response, not that he was trying very hard to intimidate the mare, but it was definitely something that he had never encountered before. One this small must have endured something larger than life to be capable of holding her own like this, he presumed. But he wasn't about to ask her about it, he had his own problems in life. He could not head back home until he had proven himself, and in addition to that he needed to find himself. And here in this storm is where an idea had begun to form inside of his head. The billowing gales and booming thunder inspired his desire to hunt, and called out to him to head out and complete probably the hardest task of his lifetime. As he took a step closer to the mare, he folded his wings in around her, hugging her in to his chest as he craned his neck down so that he could whisper in her ear. Voice calm and menacing, but not towards her. It was the voice of determination and ambition. "The most dangerous prey of all. Those that walk with whispers of death in their ears, and spy with eyes of others." And if that wasn't enough to explain what he meant to hunt, he added, "I shall bring home a Skinwalker." He stayed where he was still caught up in his thoughts, rather enjoying her closeness, but should she attempt to remove herself from his feathery embrace, he would not stop her.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Ashe was intrigued that he hugged her close. She could feel the thrumming of his heart, like the beating of a drum calling him to war--to something greater than where he was. Her voice was soft as her body quivered in intrigue. "Rid the world of their stench. A most noble plan indeed," she quirked an eyebrow up at him playfully. "I hadn't expected noble to come from you, but it's a pleasant surprise. Crush the demons--within and without." She nudged his neck gently, "I believe you can do this. Remember, we are a force of nature. Unstoppable, leaving a path of devastation in our wake if we so desire."

When she spoke it broke him out of his thoughts and he gently pulled back when she finished, opening his wings back up again and pulling them back to his sides. His expression turned from sombre to something a little more devilish once more at her playful prod. He felt like he should say something in return, something of meaning... but nothing came to mind. And as if the storm could feel his momentary hesitation, the winds picked up once more, roaring in their ears and quite literally making it impossible to keep hair out of one's eyes. Thunder and lightning were going off like nothing now, the storm was coming to it's climax, and it beckoned to him now stronger than ever. This was his cue to leave. A decisive nod, just one, and he practically had to yell to get her to hear his parting words, "Stay strong, Little One. Let the storms be the calm in your times of trouble and need." And with that he beat his wings strongly, lifting himself up and up and up into the air, gracefully flying away into the black clouds overhead. Sure, lightning here was closer, but he wasn't scared of getting hit. He had much greater plans ahead, some simple electricity could not stop him now that he knew what he had to do.
