"Hmm well even if it doesn't I still like the sound of it, "Jaleh told him with a small smile. She than thought for a moment to see if she could remember what her mothers had said about her own name. She knew one of them had something to her about it one morning. "Oh it means Dew like morning dew or that's what mother told me." her tail wagged a little happy that she remembered.
"Really? This is quite a coincidences now isn't it?" She was now curious as to what this place looked like that he grew up in. Though she loved to see different and new things all the time she didn't feel it was okay to ask him if she could see this place. "We grew up in a dense forest that was covered in fog. The fog made it hard for most to see."

"Well, thank you, Jaleh," Laertes said, calmly. "And I can see why the name was picked. Seems to suit you quite well." And then he nodded, thinking about the sort of place she must have lived in with her family. The fog couldn't have been too much trouble for them, considering the whole... Glowing thing. But then, perhaps Jaleh was the only one. Regardless, it must have been a pretty empty area, not being very habitable, to anyone but Jaleh and her family. "I see," he finally said. "I wonder what attracted your parents to live in a place under such conditions."

"Oh you can, can you? Why do you say that?" she asked with her head tilted but a smile placed nicely on her lips. She was teasing him just slightly so that it was obviously still friendly.
"I think that's where they meet each other. Of course white mother birthed us in a different place where we wouldnt get lost and could easily be protected but once we were kits we were moved there. Have you ever seen how funny it is to watch parents move six kits?" she asked him while laughing at the memory.

"Well, your personality seems very... Dewey," Laertes joked, though he said it with a straight face. He purposefully ignored the obvious, blue explanation for the name. "Ah, I see," Laertes said in understanding, knowing that attachment to an area for those sorts of reasons was probably quite common in the more sentimental foxes. He then shook her head at her next question. "I'm afraid I've not seen the sight, no. But I'm sure you and your siblings were quite the handful." He ended teasingly, though again it was said with a straight face. Most foxes could never tell when Laertes was joking, and were thus often annoyed with some of the things he said, accidentally taking him seriously.

"Oh its quite," Jaleh said catching onto his little joke. It wasn't one of those hahahahaha funny jokes but more of a oh haha thats fine kind. She gave a smile thinking about the trouble they caused their mothers. "Oh we were little terrors. Half of us glow and the other half don't living in a foggy area and all of us small bodied running every which way because we were so excited to see new areas. I'm surprised we didn't give them gray hairs," She said with a laugh right before thunder and lighting crashed what seemed to be right above them. This caused her to let out a surprised yelp and jump.

Laertes chuckled, but was interrupted from replying by the sudden lightning, thunder, and yelp from the vixen beside him. "That's not a good sign..." he muttered, more to himself than his companion. The time lapse between the lightning and the thunder was hardly more than a few seconds, which means it was closing in on them and being under a tree would no longer be the best idea, even if willow trees were typically not as tall as most.
"We should probably find a safer shelter," Laertes told Jaleh, not looking at her but out of the entrance and into the rain. Unbeknownst to the two chatting foxes, the river next to them had risen to a dangerously high level, essentially surrounding them where they rested. Frankly, he was surprised it hadn't entered their little shelter at all, but it meant leaving the place would definitely involve some amount of swimming.
Laertes turned back to Jaleh now to seek her opinion. "I would say our best bet is to swim to higher ground, hopefully a mountain, and hopefully a cave high enough on that mountain to keep us safe from the flooding a little longer, but I can't see much outside of this place and don't know the area well enough. Would you happen to have seen a place we could go before this storm started?" If she hadn't, they would probably have to take their chances on a random direction; hopefully the water would prove shallower in one area, which would most likely lead to safety -- or, at least a safer place than most.

Jaleh glanced outside of the tree and could barely see anything. The clouds where so dark and heavy with their rain and the ground was becoming mucky and darker. It had almost looked like the land and sky had become one.
"Uh yeah I agree its high time to high tail it out of here." she said as she frowned. Did she know of any good places to hide from the occurring weather? She really couldn't remember.
"I don't remember seeing anything that would give us better cover. But I can help navigate us away from here and in the direction of a mountain. There is a mountain in the distance just on the other side of the river. Depending on the weather will depend on how long the journey takes."

Laertes considered the few options available to them at the moment, but not for too long, before nodding in consent. "It's probably the best choice for us right now," he said. "And hopefully we'll find somewhere safer on the way, but if not, I'm sure the mountain is our only real chance."
That said, Laertes braced himself for the oncoming wind and rain and exited the no-longer-very-safe shelter. He turned his face down away from the torrents of water and waited for Jaleh to lead the way toward the aforementioned mountain, as he only knew that it was somewhere on the other side of the river, which he wasn't particularly keen on the thought of crossing.

Jaleh took a deep breath to hopefully prepare her for the weather outside though she knew that it was going to be cold. She walked up beside him and took a brave step out into the storm.
Instantly she felt the cold rain pierce through her fur and touch her skin like cold icy fingers. "Breee," she said as more and more began to make their way through her fur. She padded further out so that Laertes could follow her. Her paws seemed to be getting wet faster than the rest of her though her body wasn't far behind them. She didn't even think of the possible knowledge of danger below her. She turned to the left and wandered slowly toward the river. Even with her glowing body it was still pretty hard to see and she didn't want to fall.
