Acacia took a step back, "I don't know if I should. I don't know you...and he is--was a friend." She assessed him quickly, "I mean I don't know you."

Kolli inwardly sighed. He supposed that he should have anticipated a block like this. While the mare was right, he didn't like it. Honestly, he'd just hoped that she would tell him where to go and let him be on his way. But now, well, how did he get her to trust him? If he was going to find his mother he would need this information.
"I suppose I can see where you're coming from." He started out cautiously. "Obviously you've only just met me and don't really know a bit about me. Heck, I suppose you don't even know my name now do you? Well then, we'll just have to fix that now won't we?" His eyes shined happily at the mare as he gave her his best friendly smile. "My name is Kolli, I don't believe I caught yours?"
Silly mare. He thought to himself. If only she could have just given him the information that he needed. Now he would be forced to sit here and make nice until she gave him what she wanted.

Acacia fidgeted nervously, "Kolli..." She smiled a bit weakly, "That's a nice name. I'm...Acacia." She shifted back and forth from hoof to hoof. "What...are you trying to do?"
She could feel the apprehension welling up inside of her. Was he trying to kill her? Was he trying to lure her into trusting him?

The stallion cursed himself silently. This mare, Acacia, was obviously more intelligent than he had given her credit for. If he was going to get any information out of her he would need to be much more subtle., Perhaps if he played dumb, either way he was always up for a challenge.
"Doing?" He asked the mare quite puzzled. "I told you, I'm trying to find my mother. I had just hoped that perhaps you could help. This Voodoo seems like he might be a good place to start my search. Rather sad really, my mother never told me much about the mare that gave me up as a basket. Just little bits here and there that I managed to get out of her. I think she said her name had started with a Z? Or was that an S?" He pretended to think very, very, carefully on the matter, as if frustrated by the lost memories.

"Za--" Acacia stopped herself from saying anything else, her face paling. So then, they were talking about the same mare. Just the first letter of her name had been enough to get her to remember more about the story, actually more the snippet of conversation from Arden.
For a long moment, Acacia considered what to do. Should she tell him? He did have the right to know, but at the same time...there was something barely beneath the surface, something...dangerous. But it was his right, a right that had been denied her with the existence of her sister. How much time had she lost being able to search for her because of Arden?
She owed Arden no loyalty anymore. He had betrayed her. Sure, Kolli might be playing on her sympathies...but he did deserve to know. Didn't he?
The name slipped out in full, without her full intention to. "Zarita."

The stallion was about to try another tactic when Acacia spoke up. "Who?" He asked puzzled? For a moment he thought that perhaps she was speaking of his mother, but that was impossible. How could this mare know anything about her? Sure she might know a stallion or two who dabbled in magic, but having the name of his mother was something else entirely.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know what or who you're speaking of. You'll have to be a bit more clear." He told her. Even if she had meant his mother, he doubted the mare she spoke of truly was who he sought. However, he had nothing to go on and would take any leads that he could get.

She felt the words rolling out of her mouth without fully intending to, "Arden." She wasn't quite sure why she wasn't trying to even stop it anymore. Maybe it was the anger of what Arden had with held from her, or maybe it was because she understood what Kolli wanted to know.
"Arden met a mare, a good while back. She was looking for a way..." she paused, "I'm not sure what really. But he told her about someone named, Voodoo. He does favours for those who are helpful to him. He'd know more. I don't even know how he knows him. But Voodoo is dangerous, I know that. And this Zarita was determined to find him."

Kolli was irritated as another name came from the mare's lips. What good were these names to him if she didn't elaborate. He was about to simply turn and leave, when she continued on.
"Who is this Arden? Where can I find him?" He asked her. He wasn't mean as he spoke, but he had certainly cut the games. He might very well be onto something and Kolli was all business now.

Acacia felt herself becoming alarmed. Taking a few steps back, she spoke again. "He roams alot. He has lots of herb gardens. But..." she hesitated again. "There's a place he goes once a month. He should be there in four days. A meadow in a clearing in the woods. About four hours walk from here. He always goes there to meet me. But I won't be going anymore."
She could feel the grim set of her mouth as she said it. As much as she wanted to forgive Arden...she simply couldn't yet.

Normally, Kolli might have apologized for acting so harshly. Except that, at the moment, he wasn't thinking as he normally did. All that the stallion wanted was to find this Arden, and then track down this Zarita.
"How do I get there? I'm not terribly familiar with this forest so any direction that you could give me would be quite helpful. Was there anywhere you needed to be? I could escort you there in exchange for all of the information that you have given me." While he might not be thinking normally, he was still aware that there was no reason for him to be rude to the mare.

Acacia felt sick, "No. I don't need any help. I don't want to ever see him again." She couldn't see him not now, maybe not ever. Couldn't forgive him for the last thing he'd told her--that had influenced her wrong decision.
What was she going to say to Banzai now? How would they ever be okay again? Would they? She took a deep breathe, "East of here to the river, follow it down to the meadow. Four days from noon. He'll be there by noon. You can tell him, he doesn't need to wait there anymore. I won't be coming back."

Kolli nodded to the mare. It was rather obvious that something had happened between her and this stallion. He hadn't a clue as to what, but he wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to get involved in it either. Inwardly, the stallion let out a sigh. Whatever was between the two, he hoped that he could still get the information that he needed from this stallion.
"Well then," He paused for a moment. "I thank you for your help and I do hope that you find whatever it is that you might be looking for." He nodded once more and headed in the direction that she had described. Here was hoping that he could find this clearing.
