Attempt 2 Stage 1

She was wet, her jacket was soaked, her boots were slushing, and her top was plastered to her flesh in that annoying way where you felt like adjusting it and peeling it off every two seconds because it was just STICKY. She hated it, oh how she hated it. Shuffling back to the start she tossed her jacket aside, encouraging words from fellow Ghouls and a note from Jericho that she could try again gave her the push to say 'screw it' and try again right after her first failure.

This time was different, after the first attempt she simply sprinted her way between the tripple steps bouncing side to side with ease, already warmed up it was a pinch to complete.

Again she hit the rolling log with a running start sending the whole thing tumbling down the tracks quicker then need be. Before dropping onto the platform leading to the skitter wall. God she wished was a spider monster right now...

Maybe it was cheating, but she dug her boney fingers into the mat of the wall trying to use a more claw like approach to keep herself up, squirming along she made her way to the next platform huffing and hissing in irritation at how slow the process of Skitter Wall had been.

What came next looked like a simple bridge minus the whole rotating under ones feet. Crouching down she got ready to sprint again slamming side to side like the sextuplet steps before stumbling across the end nearly falling off the side.

Jumping down she continued to sprint for the warped wall, easily enough she gave a bit of a hop and tugged herself over the lip before jumping onto the Tarzan Rope leaping out she gave a yell before swinging to the end thumping against the wall scrambling up to slam the buzzer. Her time wasn't great but she made it.

"WOOO!"

STAGE 3 BEGIN!
20, 5, 7, 12, 13, 9

He was going to SMOKE this, he thought, eying the last obstacle course with glee. This had to be the best game around, he decided as he grabbed the pole and box thing, making his way across the gap.

The second was a little harder on him. He did it, climbing from step to step by hanging, but his arms were starting to hurt just a little. He ignored it. The adrenaline that was pumping through his veins more than made up for it.

The third was a little easier when he used his momentum to swing from one pole to the next, but still his arms were a bit... sore. He really was getting soft from hanging out at school, he thought as he finished the obstacle and moved on to the next.

The hanging bike? MURDER on his arms, but jackin' fun! He peddled across, teeth gritted, but threatening to show with his grin. Man, if he'd had something like this back home he mighta been--nope, he woulda still been a street punk.

The cliff hanger? Now this was like home! He'd hung from many a wall in his past, trying to creep past the people inside for--ah, various reasons. He inched his way across, ignoring the way that his arms were burning, begging for relief. He would fill up at the concession stand and be just fine!

He grabbed onto the gliding ring, sliding down and swinging his body to cross the gap at the bottom. Then he landed, falling to one knee and panting for a brief second before standing.

He'd beaten it alllll.

STAGE 1 GO!

Not even a week after Trial By Fire and already Bul was expected to complete an obstacle course? Er, expected or not, there was none of this ducking out bullshit. No, he was a champion and a survivor. In order to prove it he had to run headfirst without thought like a thick headed boil would.

First came the sextuple step.

"Easy enough... I can handle all this," Bul smirked to himself cockily. He WAS all legs after all. These were all relatively easy obstacles that his agility would make the best of. Rebounding off each wall like a jumping skitter, Bul took on towards the rolling log and waited until it began to geneate the loggy goodness.

Wobbling to and fro the half beast managed to stay atop the log and proceed to the Jumping Skitter. "Speaking of Jumping Skitters..." Bul snerked as he prepared for the next challenge and lept unto the trampoline. It wasn't until he reached the wall that he made the mistake of fully extending his limbs, causing a severe pain in his lower region.

"YIIIPE!" he cried out but waited shakily until he was allowed to drop from the splits between the walls. Bul winced a bit but pressed forwards and dashed his way through the blades precariously. Fortunately for him the blades at the cove were encompassed in darkness otherwise he'd fret wildly. Following the blades was the warped wall in which Bul had no trouble climbing in a very lizard like fashion. Swinging across the tarzan rope to the finish of stage one was also a breeze and the half beast prepared himself for the next course of action.

Attempt 2 Stage 2

Standing at the top of the platform after celebrating with Junko (and getting her wet from her earlier failure, Sammy finally made her way into the second stage. A reaper had blitzed by earlier and she had to admit, she felt a bit of pressure not to mess this up. Slowly reaching up she would wrap a hand around the chain zip line that would send her down towards the next zipline and finally the dreaded Salmon Ladder.

It was now or never, Sammy jumped into the air and let the zipline take her away.

Rattling down she reached out with her left hand grasping the second chain in a near death grip before kicking off zipping down the line, spinning around she dropped onto the platform grabbing the bar for the Salmon ladder.

Without missing a beat she started the climb throwing her whole body into each jump, she had the arm strength considering her left arm was powered purely on FEAR, no worry of muscles giving out.

Once at the top she slid down dropping into a roll popping up with a flourish before staring at yet another skitter wall. Shivering slightly she jumped in once more; but quickly forgot to dig her fingers in and was sent tumbling into the water again. "JACKDAMMMMMIIITTTTT!"

STAGE 1 GO!

Damien honestly had no clue why he was even bothering to put himself through the madness after nearly getting singed by a lake of lava . But it was Shiny and looked like a giant jungle gym.
Hopping around from one step to another wasn't much of a problem for his canine feet and grabbing onto a log and swinging for his life was practically fun. it didn't stop him from screaming "Wheee!' as the log went about its path and he landed on the mat with a light oof, but after a fast once over, all his limbs still felt in place and it was away to the trampoline.

Jumping was one thing but sticking a landing in mid air, that was something else, but Damien did all he could to scoot along with his tail high in the air and dropping back onto another safe zone and away through the blades of death with ease. He was feeling pretty good about his pace until he saw the next part of the trial and stopped in his tracks and looked up. "Sweet candy corn that's high!" he bellowed out before taking as much space between him and the giant oddly shaped wall and running as far as he could up and jumping for the edge in its awkward place.

Be it a miracle of trick or treating or some kind of Jack sent wish or prayer, his humanlike fingers found the edge and pulled his weary body up and over it. It had to be over right? Nope, much to his own dismay at the last task for his weary body. A rope, and it wasn't for tug of war. It might have been his silly instincts, but the hound decided to grab onto the rope with his teeth and pulled as far back as he could, shaking it like it might let out a tiny squeak, and soon found himself jumping over the giant gap with it and landing on the net, to his own dismay. "unholy crap! I've been caught, i don't want to go to the pound!" he screamed as he wiggled and climbed his way up and out of the net of doom and infinite put downs and hit the buzzer along the way in his panic filled state of mind.

It took a few minutes after when he was catching his breath to realize that it was part of the trial and he passed it.

STAGE 1 GO!

Seiji had a bad feeling about the course. Oh sure he was athletic enough to to get through the damn thing, working out as much as he did, but ever since coming to this school he'd had a slight issue with preforming up to his own expectations under pressure. He wasn't sure where it came from, he certainly didn't like it, but he knew it to be true. Here was hoping he didn't choke and embarrass himself in front of the rest of the school, including his ghoulfriend. "Aw Jack.."

Stretching his hamstring, the boil stared out at the course, trying to commit each and every obstacle to memory so he could complete them each in a timely manner. With a reserved sort of sigh he finally stepped up to the line, crouched, and waited.

The signal sounded and the ghost started forward, bouncing easily along the sextuple step and onto the small platform that separated it from the next task. Long legs and daily morning runs clearly helping. He didn't even pause between obstacle, but jogged forward to climb carefully up onto the log, grabbing his blackened wrist with his human hand for a better grip as the thing began to roll down the poles. And incredibly awkward sensation, in his opinion, but he got through it.

With the clock ticking there wasn't time to stop, and the boil barreled forward, leaping off the trampoline and into the gap of the jumping skitters, arms and legs shooting out to either side of him to catch himself between the two walls. Shimmying along until he could drop onto the platform that lead to the next stage.

The rotating blades had him slowing his jog, but he didn't stop. Instead running forward once the bridge had turned enough for him to dart across the flat of it, using the broad sides of each panel to make his way carefully across the stretch of chilly water below. So far so good..

The warped wall didn't look very hard, but Seiji wasn't about to take that for granted. He used that well earned speed from years of running to get a nice set up for the slanted wall. Sprinting forward and leaping at the last second to grab the ledge so he could hoist himself up and over. Glancing back once before jogging towards the Tarzan Swing and jumping out at it, grabbing the rope and using it to swing across. Then climbing upwards to the finally platform.

A little surprised he moved forward to hit the buzzer with time to spare. Well s**t.

(Pass!)

ATTEMPT 3 STAGE 1

Growling Sammy stomped her way to the front of the line again, climbing onto the starting steps staring down the course towards the Skitter Walls. Screw those damn walls! She was going to get by again, stomp the second stage jack dammit!

It started with a sprint along the steps, another tumble down the logs, a bounce off the trampoline DIG THOSE FINGERS INTO THAT WALL SAMMY! Scurry scuttle scurry scuttle like a skitter would do. Hopping down and sprinting the bridge, left, right, left again. LEAP! LAND! Run for the wall one, two, three, jump and grab! Tugging herself over she ran, screw the first rope she jumped for the second swinging to the next and hitting the wall climbing. Her time was better then before and she was furious and pumped. Stomping towards the 2nd course glaring all the while.

Attempt 3 Stage 2

Again she stood atop the start of stage 2 hand wrapped tight around the chain as she leaped off the edge with a running start. She wasn't going to blow it this time, fingers dig into the wall, boots solid, level, keep focused and don't forget that second chain your about to run into you derp... thankfully she remembered to grab onto the chain at the last minute kicking off with enough force to clear the chains in half the time. Again she hit the salmon wall, undead limbs working tirelessly to throw her up each rung before sliding down the rails towards the skitter walk.

SHE WAS GOING TO DO THIS SHE WAS GOING TO GO THE DISTANCE.

She leaped, she clawed, she stuck; her foot slipped. Her head thumped against the wall as she tumbled down in a spectacular failure. Floating in the pool she quietly fumed.

If this course had a face. She would have punched it by now.

STAGE 2 START!

With stage one under his belt, the beginning of stage two had quite a different start, not that Damien minded the chain, as long as it didn't loop around the one on his pants he was fine with it and then stepping off the balco-"AHHHH What the Jack is going on here!?" he was safe to say, perturbed by the ride right at the start of the course, not exactly feeling like one that could do well in the air. but it didn't stop the hound from grabbing onto the other chain and clinging for dear life until he landed on the pad. He wanted these pads to be EVERYWHERE from now on. But it was on to the next part, time was ticking and he was hopping up the ladder with the ease of some kind of floresce and-

what a surprise, another leap of faith and a ride into the crisp night sky. he was going to have to have a talk to Jericho about designing a course that was friendly to those that were wingless. An agility course on solid secure land didn't sound half bad. Again landing on the pad of reassurance made Demi let out a sigh of relief as he dashed off toward the next bit or torture.

hopping through the air like a skitter was something that felt exhilarating and absolutely frightening at the same time, he would be thankful that he put the chalk on his hands before trying, and also on his nose. The chains this time was indeed a bit different, he could feel the chain give a little as he spun around, it wasn't as solidly linked and gave a dip as the rotation continued but after a bit of wobbling, and whining, a toe found its way toward the end of the platform as the rest of his body did, and he wasted no time squatting and pushing up the heavy doors as sliding under as best as his lithe frame could.

The last door had quite a bit of heft to it, and he'd have to admit, Weight lifting sessions with Nuk sounded like a good plan right about now. skidding under the door with nary and inch to spare, his hand found the button with ease as the air wooshed out of the cannons near the platform, confirming that he did indeed, made it to the end and completed it.

"Jericho..... you Jerk." He huffed out slowly, finding the air and a sense of calmness that was missing throughout the two minutes of sheer anxiety that he went through.

STAGE 2 START!

Ok, so the foreboding sense of impending failure wasn't quite so strong now. He was still weary of cockiness, but he couldn't help but feel a little more confident as he started the next stage of the trials.

He grabbed the chain and pushed off from the platform, ridding the rip line down until the next chain was within reach, and grabbing hold of it. Employing a great deal of upper body strength to hang on as the second chain zipped down the line to the platform below. Dropping onto it and moving forward.

The next task, the salmon ladder was actually not a stranger to the ghost boil, he'd had a chance to try it once before in an obstacle course back before he'd started school at Amity. Chancing a confident grin, he took hold of the pole and hoisted himself, then jerked the pole forward and up to catch the next set of pegs. Repeating the action until he'd made it to the top of the ladder and could get to the next platform and the task beyond, bringing the long pole with him. Slider drop was easy enough, using the pole to slide down to the next block, but the landing had to be perfect. Lucky for Seiji his was. Dropping the pole, moved on.

Up next was the skitter walk, and it was very similar to one of the stages in the last course, except it moved. Seiji didn't hesitate, but instead darted forward and jumped, catching himself on the walls so he could make his careful way across the shifting contraption and out onto the next platform.

More chains awaited him, and Seiji bolted forward and lunged at the dangle metal. The force of his jump enough to spin the entire thing until he could catch the opposite ledge with a foot and pull himself close enough to stand on it.

One more obstacle separated him from another pass, and he ran towards it, eager to get through it. It was the wall lift and it shouldn't be too terribly difficult, but after everything else in the course he was beginning to feel the fatigue in his arms. No matter though, he pressed onward. Lifting the first wall and darting under it, then the second. The third was trickier, and his arms we shaking by the time he'd gotten it high enough to slip under. Sliding beneath, but barely. He'd made it though! And he proudly jogged forward to slam his hand down on the buzzer!

STAGE 3 BEGIN!

Damien was feeling weary and tired, and his foot stung a little, but there was one thing he was happy about, its wasn't timed. No need to spazz and freak out by the cat siren that was going off near the end of the course, warning him to haul a** or go fall in the fluid below. After a light stretch and a moment to chalk up his hands, ears and nose, he grabbed onto the dice and began the slow arduous process of moving along in the air to the other side, a heavy clang rang out with each step in the process, threatening to drop him into the water below.

but feet found its place onto something solid and dry and so began the process again, this time with steps that just had to be backwards, seriously, Jericho was such a p***k for making something like this. Whatever happened to the escalator at the maul? either way, his gasps for air and the steady movement of his arms led to the end toward a set of bars in the air, and fairly large spaces between them. With a barking scream, Demi jumped from one to another like he was in some kind of talent show, wobbling a bit at the last bar before the tiny arm bike came into view with him peddling along like a little gnome was powering the thing.

After the little trek and the safety of solid ground underneath him, there was still more to do. "More?" he cried out at the sight of the wall that loomed before him, with nary enough space to get a proper grip, but surprisingly enough, he found his fingers the right size to scoot along with ease, but Jack, was the burn in his arms killing him, so to speak. There was so much done and yet the finish line was just a few meters away, in mid air and all that was between them was air, rigging and a giant hoop that wanted nothing more than to trip him up.

Again, more aerial acrobatics. He grabbed onto the hoop with as much courage as he could muster in his weary body before praying to Kerberos for guidance and to save his soul as he went into the air again, the menacing slide down toward the end. "I'M GOING TO TO KICK YOUR a** AFTER THIS IS DONE PUFFFFFF!!!!" he screamed out in rage as he let go of the only solid item in his hands and out into gravity's everlasting mercilessness. and felt his upper body land on the pad with a thud, his lower half dragging him off slowly as he scrambled up and onto the stand and to the buzzer that would make it all end.

It was over, and boil was he glad it was as he let out the loudest scream he could and flopped onto the button with a sigh of relief. It was done.

STAGE 3 BEGIN!

Oh snap, now the pressure was on! With the first two stages completed there was no way Seiji was going to accept anything shy of success now that he was so close to the end. Of course this last leg of the challenge wouldn't be a cake walk. The obstacles would be harder, and Seiji was already fatigued from the first two legs of the course. He was going to have to pull out all the stops to get through this thing.

Stopping wasn't an option, it would just give his tired muscles time to protest, and he could afford to do that. Instead he dove right into the first task, grabbing the metal box of the rumbling dice and used it to maneuver himself across the gap. It wasn't pretty, but he managed to get past it with only one nears.

The next up was devil steps, and this was one of the obstacles Seiji was fairly confident about. He had a fair amount of upper body strength, so pulling himself from step to step across the task wasn't all that difficult, even with the tiredness already making his arms sore. He crossed the chilly pool of water quickly, and the ease of that little challenge was enough to give him a little adrenaline boost.

More upper body strength was needed for the next task(and more after that, it seemed by the looks of things), and he jumped right in. Grabbing the first bar and swinging forward so he could launch himself towards the second, then the third. Carrying on until he'd crossed all four of the bars and made it onto the safety of the platform beyond and the next obstacle. He stared at it a moment before grabbing the peddles of the arm bike and leaning forward until he was dangling over the water. Peddling his way across at what felt like an agonizingly slow pace. Simply dropping sounded rather appealing at this point, but he simply couldn't bring himself to give up, not when he was so damn close. He kept going until he was all the way across.

Looked like everything in this last stage was up to the arms and hands. Seiji slid his fingers between the gaps in the cliff hanger and started across the long gap at what seemed like an inch at a time. Moving as fast as he dared to get across before his fingers just gave out.

He made it, barely, and looked on to the last obstacle with renewed sense of confidence. It was like a zip cord, ride the ring down and jump. Not hard, but possibly tricky. Still, the clock was ticking and he was so close to the end. Drawing a deep breath(not that he needed it, being a ghost), he stepped forward and grabbed the ring, pushing off from the platform to slide down. Jumping right at the last second and landing, to his own surprise, square in the middle of the final platform. Raising up in surprise, he couldn't help but grin as she lunged at the final buzzer and smacked it, calling out in victory! "******** ya!"

And now it was time for a very much needed break. To the concession stand!

STAGE 1 GO!

Junko had decided she would use this time while things were slow to make her first attempt, breathing deeply as she stood on the beginning platform. No natural abilities, right? Well...damn. That meant she couldn't use her hair in an emergency. She frowned up toward Her. "Sorry, but it's the rules. No cheating, okay?"

"Fine." She grumbled, separating Junko's hair into two thick sections and wrapping them around each other in a makeshift braid then wrapping itself into a tight bun neatly against the back of her head. They were ready now. Junko bounced on her toes a bit, shaking out her nerves and worries. Okay so it didn't work but she had no choice. Biting down on her lip she took off, making a jump for the first obstacle. The Sextuple Step. She squeaked each time she somehow managed to land on a step. How did she make it to the end!? She sighed and looked to her next obstacle. Oh...great. How was she supposed to...hm. She frowned thoughtfully and just..held it with her arms and legs. It slid down then and she gasped, clinging tightly to the log and closing her eyes. Dont'falldon'tfalldon'tfalldon'tfall! The log suddenly hit something and she was knocked off it onto another platform.

"..I MADE IT! AHAHAHA! YES!" Junko cheered, jumping and clapping as she approached the jumping skitter. Uhhhh...

...How did...

What was even..

"I don't...understand." She obviously had not paid attention to how this stuff was actually done. With a sigh the ghoul jumped onto the trampoline, squeaking as she was sent flying between the two walls. She put her feet against them to keep from falling. Her hands and feet pressed against the walls. N-now what? She swallowed hard and scoot through the walls as quickly as she could, falling onto the next platform.

...Blades. Why did it have to be blades. Junko visibly paled and stepped back away from them, her heart racing and her eyes widening. Her breath quickened into short gasps, clenching her fists. B-blades. No. She couldn't. She couldn't do it. "I...I...I can't..!"

"Do it."

"What?" She turned her head as if to look at someone behind her even if the voice was from the back of her head. "B-but I..the blades...I can't do it. No. No way. I'm done."

"You will do this or I will strangle you until you reform into Nurse Cricket's office." She threatened with a growl. Junko was not going to let a panic attack embarrass both of them in front of the student body. Junko whimpered and stepped onto the first blade, gasping and jumping onto the next one as it turned. It turned. These blades were going to cut her to pieces and--oh hey. She was on the other side now, though she did have a cut on her arm. She winced and looked down at it, sighing and moving on. She did the warped wall well enough, jumping up to pull her small body up over the ledge. She almost fell off the rope but landed on her hands and knees onto the final platform, stumbling up to hit her hand on the final buzzer with only a little bit of time to spare.

"I..I did it..I DID IT! YAAAAAAAAY!" She jumped and cheered, her arms in the air and a huge smile on her face. Ow. Wait. Cut on her arm. Right. Ow.

"Two more stages to go, ghoul. Don't get cocky."

"Right. I know." Junko was grinning now. This wasn't so bad!
