Her casual teasing did nothing to reassure him that she wasn't painting all sorts of ghouly things all over his back. It might not be flowers, but there were other things equally as feminine she could pick. Granted, he couldn't really think of anything of the frillier nature that was also a plant, but was not a flower. He had to admit, she had him curious. As for guessing? Hmm. A long weaving stroke, followed by another. "Vines of some sort?" It wasn't a very good guess really, but he had to start somewhere. Shivering again he let his eyes fall closed, concentrating on the brush strokes and trying not to move.

It was unusually quiet in his room and that would have normally bothered the boil. He had a tendency to turn the radio of the tv on when ever he was here so there was some sort of background noise accompanying whatever he happened to be doing. Some said silence was golden, but Seiji didn't agree. He could have asked her to move for a moment so he could turn his stereo on, or even hit the music player on his phone, but he didn't. Instead he drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly, sinking into the mattress and pillow. He wasn't much a fan of silence, but this was ok. Junko's presence certainly helped.

Her hands when they touched him were warm, contrasting with coolness of the paint, and each and every touch of either had him shivering or twitching gently. It wasn't tickling him, but the skin on his back was sensitive, specifically to her gentle touch.

Ok so it wasn't what he'd originally had in mind upon seeing her in the lovely little robe, but he had to admit this was really nice. He'd have to return the favor once she'd finished with him, just so she could see how it felt. He didn't have high hopes for anything he thought to paint on her, but somehow he didn't think she'd mind.

Vines? Junko hummed and tilted her head to one side and then the other. She traced the outline of the tree in shortened strokes, wanting to try and give the tree that..tree look. With the marks and everything. That made sense in her head. She had to be careful with what she'd already painted as well; this kind of paint was very unforgiving for mistakes. "It's not vines but..you're close." She finally told him, drawing a scraggly branch. That was masculine, right? It was very hard for her to not just paint flowers and butterflies and fans all over his back. She certainly wouldn't mind that done to herself! But she was painting for him right now, not the other way around.

Unlike Seiji Junko was actually happy for the silence. She didn't get it often and she savored it whenever she could have a quiet moment. Even a quiet moment with Seiji was actually somewhat preferred over when they were being noisy and uh...yeah. Hard to believe but it was true! If told she had to choose one or the other? She would take quiet cuddling over everything else; Junko was just happy being in his presence. "I think you'll like it. If I get it right it's going to be neat." Junko smiled, painting a branch under what was eventually going to be a very pretty snake.

What? It had to have some kind of Junko touch to it.

"Seiji?" She continued to paint, wanting to keep him as relaxed and calm as possible. The boil seemed to be melting underneath her at her very touch. "Um...about that field trip coming up." A touchy subject but she was hoping it would end better this time. They really hadn't reached any kind of...conclusion before. "Red was telling us about it at the meeting...you want to come with me, right?" Junko was keeping her voice soft, calm and even. Stay calm. Stay calm. No need to get riled up. She finished the tree and swirled the brush in the water again to clean it of the black. "Because you can, actually." And here they'd thought it would be a second years only trip! Heh.

Not vines, huh? He frowned thoughtfully, brows twitching upward at the shorter, more deliberate brush strokes. Ok, so that didn't make a whole lot of sense with the swirling line she'd already drawn. He concentrated on how those strokes felt and eventually murmured a second guess. "Tree?" Or maybe a bush? What the heck was she painting on him? She said he'd like it though, and despite the speculative look he turned up to her he settled back into stillness. "Well alright, I'm trusting you."

It was quiet again for a moment or two, but just as before it was a comfortable silence. Once the boil didn't feel compelled to break, despite his general dislike for quiet.

Junko would be the one to fill the silence this time, and the boil responded with a interested grunt of a sound, one dark eye peeking open and rolling back to glance at her. Two little words was all it took to break the comfortable spell that had wrapped around the pair, and at the mention of the damn impending trip the boil tensed, gaze turning to glare at the far wall. He really didn't want to talk about this, nope. He was not expecting her to ask if he still wanted to go with her though, and it had him blinking, lifting his head from the pillow so he could watch her with both eyes. "Yes, of course I do." The levelness of her voice was actually doing wonders to keep Seiji's own anxiety about the subject at a minimum, and he actually smiled when she got to the reason for having brought it up in the first place. "Really?" That would be wonderful. It hadn't just been the trip itself, though that was a big part of why he hadn't wanted her to go. he suspected it would be dangerous, and stuck here he couldn't look out for her, whether she needed him to or not. He also didn't like the idea of being separated from her for another long stretch of time. Summer break had sucked while she'd been on the mountain with Momo-chan.

"Dingding. The black is a tree." Junko giggled, leaning down to push his hair out of the way to press the lightest kiss against the back of his neck. She sat up again and released his hair, brushing her fingers just barely against his neck and down his shoulder until she could put her hand on the bed again and use it to support her own weight. "Now can you guess the rest? You'll get another prize if you do." It would probably just be another sweet, delicate kiss but a prize was a prize? She hummed thoughtfully before dipping the very tip of the brush into the black paint again. It was a risk but Junko was going to attempt it...markings on the snake she was painting slithering around on the tree. She really hoped it turned out okay and she wasn't just setting herself up for disaster.

She was very relieved that he stayed calm as she was, no wanting this very peaceful activity to be tarnished by some kind of tiff or lover's spat. Maybe it really did help to not get riled up! Heh...yeah. Definitely good. Junko didn't realize he was glaring at the wall, but she did blush a little when he looked up at her. Even bothered by the subject he looked so appealing to her. She swallowed and smiled warily. Keep calm, there was no need to fight. This was good news! He wouldn't be upset! He'd..he'd be happy! He even sounded relieved! "Yeah..she said only volunteers will be going this time. It won't be a required trip like the last one." Junko smiled a little more as she began to draw small wiggled lines along the snake's body. Stripes. Snakes had stripes, right? "So she wants us to encourage everyone to go. To make teams and stuff. It's..we're going to a training ground." Junko leaned down to brush her nose along his jaw, being careful not to lay or press against the wet paint on his back.

"So, while I imagine this is probably a silly question, would you like to come with me? We can make a team together." She put the brush aside for a moment to reach her hand to gently stroke his cheek with the back of her knuckles. "I know I said I can take care of myself and I want you to believe I can do that..but...I want you to be with me anyway."

That featherlight kiss, gentle as it had been, was enough to soften unhappy features, gray lids falling heavily over glowing eyes. It wasn't fair, this power she had over him. It was nearly impossible for him to hang onto any sort of anger where she was concerned if she insisted on laying those soft little lips against his skin. He nearly missed her affirming his guess, but the deal she offered him certainly caught his attention. He did like prizes, oh yes he did. Specially when said prizes could potentially result in further delights like the brush of her lips or dainty fingers. "Hmm, we'll see if can figure anymore of it out."

Back to the more important topic though. further tension eased from the set of his shoulders and the lines of his face as she explained what Red had told them during her meeting, and by the end of it he was merely watching her with curious, if perhaps slightly weary eyes. It may not have been mandatory, but it was still a field trip. He was understandably suspicious.

Any and all remnants of pouting was swept away by the warm touch of her nose against his jaw, and he pulled his hand from beneath the pillow to touch the backs of his knuckles along the curve of her cheek, savoring the softness before she sat back up. He gave a very soft snort to her question as if agreeing with assumption that it was indeed a stupid question, but he turned his head to press his cheek into her touch, laying the tips of his fingers against her palm to hold her hand there. "You know I do." If there was a means for him to follow her, he always would. He'd follow her to Christmas and back without hesitation, she didn't even have to ask.

Junko closed her eyes as he touched her cheek and gave a soft little sigh, a smile on her face as she pressed her lips against Seiji's cheek. "Good." She opened her eyes and leaned over enough that she was half on him and half off him, enough to at least press her forehead against his and look him in the eye. "Guess we had that silly fight for nothing then...I'm glad you get to come." Junko leaned in those few inches to steal a kiss from his lips, one hand slipping under his head to cup his cheek while the other rubbed his shoulder. "We'll make a team. It'll be fun! I don't think anything from last time is going to happen again. The last trip is why they're doing this trip.." She kissed him again. "I love you.." Junko moved to sit up again, paused...and kissed him again, giggling and brushing her lips against his. "You're so cold~." She was half-teasing. His coldness was something she loved about him; it was refreshing and strangely comforting. Junko sat up after that and picked up the brush again, smiling down at Seiji as she swirled the brush in the water to wet it again and this time dipped it into the red paint.

There was a small, quick stroke added to the red snake to elongate its body and give it a new head that was now looking up instead of down. She'd use the new mark where the two colors connected to make another stripe on the snake, but she wanted it looking up. Why? Because now it was looking at one of his shoulders. And on said shoulder she began to paint another shape. A suspicious shape with several swirled tipping points and round lines. What was she painting now...?

"We have an event coming up to. Jericho and Christof were apparently planning it before elections but now they have an excuse for it. I think you'll like it." She was using idle chatter to keep him distracted from trying to guess what she was painting. She had given him a promise of a prize if he guessed things correctly...and butterflies were one of those things he would not want to guess. Heh.

As quickly as she leaned away she was back, and the boil turned his head so her brow could press against his own, glowing red fading as dark eyes fell closed. The sigh was soft, but the unhappiness at their fight being brought again was obvious enough. He said nothing though, but rather let that particular subject go all together. He didn't want to think about it in any detail save the sweet memory of what came after. The press of her lips against his was enough to melt away the frown that had been forming, and he eagerly leaned into that blissfully soft touch. Reaching up to cup the coldness of his palm along her cheek as she did the same to his.

It was disappointing when the kisses ended, even if it hadn't been a heated, hungry thing, and he was slow to look at her as she began to speak again. Content to hold her against him, the breath in the intermingling scents of jasmine and cherry blossoms. A nod followed her offered plan, dark eyes peeking open only to fall closed against when she stole a kiss, murmured her love for him, and then kissed him again, and again. "I have to be cold so I can keep you from burning up." It was either a comment on her physical warmth and how much he craved it, or a subtle joke on her lovely appearance. Perhaps even both.

She sat back up again and resumed her artistic vision upon his back. Once again it made him shiver, and he refolded his arms beneath the pillow so he could lay his head back against the plush cushion. Concentrating on the feel of the brush along his skin and the paths it was taking, even as she sought to distract him with talk of an up coming event. It wasn't going to work. "Oh? Why's that?" He listened, but his mind was all for the paint gliding along his shoulder. Swirls, elegant points and strokes, circles..

"Junko, are you painting a butterfly on me?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:54 pm

To keep her from burning up? Junko tilted her head, not really understanding it. Oh! Like...if she was sick? Ohhh come to think of it if she ever had a fever or something she could just snuggle up to him and that could help break it! It was perfect! Snuggles and refreshing coolness? She loved this idea. Junko brushed her fingers along his side as she thought about this, smiling softly and nearly painting a lazy line across Seiji's back as she grew more and more tempted to just settle down and cuddle up to him for the next few...hours. A look was given to the paintbrush in her hand and she nearly whined. Painting...but..but cuddling! But sweet, sweet loving bonding moment of sweetness and love and quiet and...but cuddling! Cuddling was so...but..but painting. Yes. Painting. She had to finish this painting. Sigh. Junko dipped the brush into the water again now that the outline of her new addition to the picture on Seiji's back had been done, taking the box with the red paint and quietly pouring a bit of it on the lid of the box; she'd clean it later. The red paint was put down..only for her to pick up the white and pour that as well, picking up the lid to stir the two colors together with her brush. She hummed quietly as she did this, not wanting to let on to what she was up to. Let's seee..a little more white should do. Ah, yes. There it was. This was perfect! She held the lid still, making sure he did not see what color she had just made, and began to paint over the butterfly's outline. She was filling it in with a lovely pink color, oh yes. Why? Because she could. Besides, the butterfly was supposed to represent her or something. The snake was him, the butterfly was her. Yes. So it could be girly.

"Hmmm?" Junko's eyes flickered to his face as he asked about something. Oh! Right. The event. "Uh huh! I won't tell you what it is, but it's very physical. And I'm making lots of food for it. I'll even make those sugared brains you and Riley like." She was going to continue to attempt distracting him from what she was doing. There was no way she could let him guess this one correctly!

Except he did. He always knew. Junko paused a moment, looking down at him and blushing. "What?" How did he always figure it out?! Junko began to laugh nervously, shaking her head and continuing to paint anyway. She wasn't going to stop just because he didn't like butterflies. "Haha! That's silly! It's simply a snake coiling around a tree! And...looking up at a butterfly..." That last part was mumbled before she cleared her throat and very quickly moved on to the next thing she had to say. "See..think of the snake as representing you! You're very cold~. And sneaky. Kind of like a snake! And snakes as masculine, right? I'd never paint something stupid on your back, ねえ!" Partially true.

Oh. He guessed something right. She promised a reward, didn't she?

The soft touch of fingers along his side raised goosebumps along his arms even under the cover of the pillow. Shoulders flexing, because he simply couldn't not react to it. This hadn't been what he'd wanted when he'd asked the ghoul to the Scarentine's dance. It hadn't been his intention to feel for her as much as he did, as quickly as he did. In fact hat realization had scared the hell out of him. He'd wanted something casual, a fun relationship with a pretty ghoul with amazing legs. A smug sort of smile slide along grey lips, cheek nuzzling down more comfortably into the pillow he was laying on. Well, she did have amazing legs. This hadn't been what he'd been after when they'd first met, but now that he had it, had her, he wouldn't have traded it for anything. He hadn't wanted to fall in love, and he certainly had succumbed to it easily, but here he was, and he couldn't remember ever being happier.

He missed what she'd been telling him about the upcoming event, completely lost in his own reflective thoughts. Something about food perhaps? He wasn't entirely sure. "I'll be there." It didn't matter what it was. If she had helped plan things, and planned to be there herself, then that was where he would be. No questions asked. Jack, he was whipped.

The nervous laughter that had followed his question did little to calm his suspicions. "Silly, hmm?" Ha, he knew it. Though from the way she described it he had to admit it sounded interesting, and her reasoning was hard to argue with. Except one point. "Sneaky? I'm not sneaky." Ok, perhaps a little bit.. He snorted, chuckling as he peeked open his eye to glance back at her. Fine, the butterfly could stay, and since he'd guessed right... "I believe you owe me some kind of reward for that correct guess."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2011 11:10 am

Seiji was very quiet, almost strangely quiet. It wasn't just the peaceful kind of tranquility he'd had about him before when he'd just been relaxing underneath her. It was like...there was something he was thinking about. Junko put the lid down when she was done with the pink to add pretty details to the butterfly and the snake, watching him quietly every now and then as she did. She really was enjoying this. If they could just do this all the time Junko would be more than eager for that. It was almost a shame she couldn't just paint his back every day, or even every time they were together. They'd eventually run out of paint! And doing it all the time would probably make it less intimate and special. Junko leaned down to brush her lips against the shell of his ear, breath warm against his cool skin. "Something on your mind, ねえ?" Junko asked softly, nudging his temple with her nose before sitting up again. She didn't want to be one of those ghouls who always had to know what was on their boilfriend's mind but she was quite curious to know what he was thinking about that had him so quiet. He was even smiling. Why was he smiling?

"I'm glad." She looked down at the painting on his back. Hmmm...it looked finished. Junko smiled and dipped the brush one last time in the black ink to give it a quick little signature.

順子

She paused a moment, just staring at the first half of her name. Obedient...obedient child. Junko frowned a moment and nearly scribbled the name out to just put a random tree branch there but thought better of it; Seiji had her name on his back now. She'd labeled him hers.

Obedient child...

Her eyes flickered back toward Her for a moment before she cleaned the brush one last time and set it aside, reaching down after to hold his sides where she hadn't painted and gently massage part of his back with her thumbs. She smiled down at him, her head tilted to one side. "Yes, silly. Think of...the snake as you, and the butterfly as...me. And well, butterflies means change and...well...it's silly, I know." Junko blushed and looked around, searching for something. "Where's your phone? I'll take a picture."

The reminder of a reward made her pause and look down at him again. "I did promise that..." But what to give him? Humming, Junko leaned down to catch his lips for a soft kiss. She didn't want to rile him up. She really didn't want to rile him up, she didn't want to ruin this quiet thing they had going.

Shoulders rolled in what was supposed to be a shrug, but didn't quite make it in his current position. "Just remembering back to when we'd first started dating, the way things worked out." Initial expectations and the irony of not a single one having worked out the way he'd originally wanted it to. Not once had he ever regretted getting together with her, not when he'd realized he wasn't getting into her pants anytime soon, not when he'd started falling for her, never. He wasn't sure what she'd wanted out of their relationship at the start of it, what she'd expected, but somehow he didn't think she'd have thought things would have gone the way they had. Pleasant surprises all around, at least he hoped so.

He almost asked, almost, but the moment of curiosity passed as she proceeded to explain the symbolism of what she'd painted on his back. "It's not silly." In fact it made perfect sense. He couldn't easily reach her to kiss her cheek any little show of affection, but he did smile up at her. A soft uptilt along cloud gray lips. "You've changed a lot from when I first met you, and all of it's been amazing."

Hmm, where was his phone? Pocket? No.. He rolled his eyes to glance at the bedside table, then made a grab for the eyephone laying beside the cup of water she'd been using to rinse the sumi-e brush. "Here." He held it up to her, head lifting from the pillow as she leaned in to give him his reward for guessing the butterfly. Nibbling ever so gently along the bud of her lower lip before she could draw away from him. Not really seeking more, but more as a means to return the sweet affection.

"So is it done then?" He turned his head as far as he could in an attempt to see picture she'd painted on him, but couldn't really see much beside the butterfly on his shoulder. "Let me see."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 04, 2011 3:28 am

That was what he was thinking about? Junko blushed a little. How long ago had that been? Six..seven months worth of time? Seven. Yes. Wow. She smiled helplessly and tilted her head to one side. How did he expect things to work out? Did she even want to know though? Did it matter? Junko hummed thoughtfully as she unlocked the phone, blushing again at his background for it. He had so many pictures of her on here. Would he get mad if she..browsed through them while he was talking to her? A quick glance was given to the boil underneath her as she selected the album instead of the camera. One peek wouldn't hur--hey, she didn't even remember half of these pictures! How did he get so many candid sho--he said he was texting someone! 'I'm not sneaky' her a**! Sneaky little...but they really were nice pictures. She'd been pouting, but that pout melted into a fond smile as she continued to scroll through the pictures. Movement in her peripheral from behind the phone got her attention though and she looked down at him. "You think so?" The fact that he said the changes she'd gone through were amazing made her heart flutter. That was something she wanted, good change. It'd been part of her reasoning for enrolling! So to hear that she was making progress in the right direction made her so happy.

"Yes, it's done." She replied with a giggle, finally switching from his album of pictures to the actual camera. "Stop moving and I will. You squirm like Sayuri." He didn't really, no one squirmed as much as Sayuri did when trying to give her a bath or brush her fur or just...hold her. But she wasn't so stupid and clueless she didn't realize Seiji's dislike for the purple pygmy fox. She held the phone so his entire back could be seen, leaning back a bit until she got a good shot and snapped a quick one. There! All done! The ghoul climbed off him then, sitting down on the bed beside Seiji while bringing the picture up for him to see. She was grinning again, puffing up with pride. "What do you think? I've never painted on a person before. It was fun! Can we do it again sometime?"

For the record, he had been holding still, but it sure was taking her an awful long time to take a picture. "What are you doing up there?" They had the same phone, she knew where the camera app was and how to use it, so why hadn't she taken the picture yet? "You looking through my album, or what? Let's do this." He jerked his hips up to bounce her where she sat on him, frowning back over his shoulder before finally laying still again. "There is nothing in Halloween that squirms as much as that fox." Nuff said. And the resentment that comment pulled from him was obvious in the scathing sarcasm in his voice.

Finally he heard the artificial shutter that meant she'd taken the shot, and he turned as she climbed off him. Leaning up on his elbows to give her handwork a look. "Huh, that looks pretty neat." He wasn't sure what to expect by her description, but it really was a nice bit of imagery, and the symbolism was very fitting. As for doing it again? "Sure."

And then he had a nice little idea. Grinning the boil sat up on his knees and took a moment to stretch his arms up over his head. Glowing eyes rolling up to linger 'pon the ghoul beside him in her pretty little robe. It was obvious she was trying to keep things on a sweeter note, but it was hard to wrap his mind around that with that alluring flash of bare thigh drawing his gaze every few minutes. A compromise was in order.

Lowering his arms, the boil leaned towards her so he could lay a lingering kiss on the fullness of her lips, then the tip of her nose. "Lose the robe and lay down on your stomach." Gray fingers tugged at the sash on her waist, loosening it so silk slide down her shoulders. Gingerly he helped himself to removing the lovely little garment, but beyond the occasional brush of his knuckles along her arms he behaved himself. Touching her only to steer her down so she was laying where he'd been, and then crawling around the bed to sit beside her, one long leg lifting so he could rest his foot on her other side.

At Seiji's question Junko's eyes widened and she looked at him past the phone. Uhhh...well..yes. She had. But Junko wasn't just going to admit to that! No way! She'd just have to lie. A simple little white lie never hurt anyone, right? "Noooo. Why would I? Is there something in here you don't want me seeing?" Junko was teasing, a playful grin on her lips as she tried to avert his attention away from her obvious lie. There were better things to worry about! Like what was in his back and if he liked it. Junko waited with bated breath as the boil looked the picture over. Please like it, please like it! Sure it had a butterfly on it but the butterfly held meaning! but he thought it was neat! She breathed a sigh of relief and handed the boil his phone back, settling comfortably beside him. Well, she was done. Now what? Cuddle until they thought of a new idea? She was greatly enjoying this quiet time! Could they do it more often?

As he leaned in to kiss her she smiled and tipped her head up to return it, a hand reaching up to delicately brush the backs of her fingers along the line of his cheek before cupping his face, her eyes fluttering closed. His kisses always made her heartbeat flutter wildly no matter how mild, just knowing how he felt was enough to do it for her. She was smiling as he kissed her nose, but as he requested she "lose the robe" her face quickly flushed hot pink and her eyes snapped open. "Wh-what?" Did he really just say that?! "But Seiji I don't want to ha-ah...um..S-Seiji please I...well it's just.." She didn't want to do anything naughty but he made it so hard to resist. Junko squeaked and sighed and squirmed as he removed the robe, blushing hard but complying with his instructions to lie down on her stomach.

The pillow Seiji had taken was now hers to borrow, hugging it and nuzzling her face into the pillow. It smelled like him! She did her best not to seem like she was taking a deep breath in to take in his scent. But she did so it, for the record. "What are you up to?" She asked quietly, her eyes closed and her hair moving itself to reveal her back to him. What did he need her to take her robe off for? She liked that robe!

The boil couldn't help but roll his eyes at Junko's protests. "Hey, I do have self control." He'd exercised it for a long damn time before their relationship had progressed into anything even close to intimate. Sure, he didn't always choose to use it, but he could when he wanted. Though wanted was perhaps the wrong word. Very rarely did he ever did he ever want to maintain that surprisingly sound self control, but for her, to make her happy, he would.

He took the phone she'd offered back to him and set it back on the beside table, snorting softly and leaning over her back as she nuzzled into his pillow. "I dunno, did you find anything worth hiding?" He knew she wouldn't find anything because there was nothing there to find. He had everything he could ever want or need right here with him, so why would he ever wander? Cool fingers touched lightly on her shoulder and traced down in gentle lines along her back. Stroking back and forth along the softness of her skin in slow, delicate circles. Pausing only long enough for him bend over her so he could lay a kiss against her cheek. Cool breath tickling along her neck as he chuckled. With a skillful twist of dark fingers the ghoul's bra unclasped, either side sliding down to leave back bare. What was he up to? "No good."

When he sat up again he grabbed the brush from the teacup on the table, then helped himself to the lid of pink paint she'd mixed for the butterfly on his back. Dipping the moistened tip of the bristles within the pale pigment until he'd saturated the brush with color. He wasn't anywhere near as good an artist as she was, but that didn't really matter.

He was humming softly as the cool tip of the brush touched her back. Small little points of color in clustered circles. Chin lowering to rest on his bent knee as he worked.
