"Fire does hurt..." Glyph answered easily, "But the plants and animals it kills die and become part of the soil that new trees grow up from. Sometimes the seeds of unborn trees need the fire to help them grow. It's a cycle, you see?" Forest gestured at the woods in general and offered an benevolent grin, "The Forest isn't just about Life, it's about Death too, you can't have one without the other... Why if everything stayed alive, there'd be nothing left for new things to grow from, would there? The death of one tree enables the life of many more things - homes for rodents and birds, food for mushrooms and insects that feed the rodents and birds, nutrients for the seeds to grow strong into big, new trees. Do you understand?"
Glyph spoke passionately of his realm, of the dynamics and cycles that worked within him and the woods. It was important Adi understood these things if she was to be one of his Aoide. He held both Life and Death dear, both important... and had much more tolerance for such things then perhaps others did.
Her request made him blink and he quirked a brow, "Aaah, I seeeee." Glyph grinned broadly, "I promise not to speak a word of it. Do you plan on courting him?" Glyph was earnestly interested as he turned to face her properly, "If you need help, let me know~"

"That's...kind of sad, but it makes sense." She didn't like the thought of anything dying or being hurt, but it helped that there was at least a purpose to it. It reminded her of the Lion King.
"Thanks! Court him?" Adi couldn't help but giggle at Glyph's choice of words. "Do girls court boys? But, yeah, I guess I am. I do want him to like me back."

"Sad?" Glyph blinked, tilting his head, "How is it sad? Everything dies at some point... mortal, at least. And when it does, what made the creature or plant up returns to the land. I don't think it's sad..." He smiled and shrugged, "Maybe you'll understand better as you grow."
He gave a shrug, "I don't think courting is gender specific, actually, though your father would know more on these matters, I imagine. As much as I courted Illisia, I think she courted me in kind." Glyph's laugh was wistful and a little sad. "Have you tried asking him to go walking with you? Or maybe taken flowers or fruits?" Glyph wasn't entirely sure what exactly went into deliberately courting - he hadn't realized what he was doing until Illisia similarly responded.

"I dunno, it's just sad when things end, even if they do turn into other things. Something still ended." She seemed a bit dismayed when Glyph told her she'd understand better as she grew; despite knowing she still had some growing up to do, it was always frustrating to hear it.
"I always thought of it like boys courting girls, like knights and princesses." Her ears flicked distractedly while she thought. "But since I'm the one who likes him, I guess maybe I should. We do do stuff together sometimes. Do you think I should give him presents?"

"Like Knights and Princesses? Are you really a damsel in distress?" Glyph asked, arching a brow, "I imagine you could be quite fierce if you wanted to be. Presents would be a good idea, I think, but not too many!" He chuckled, looking around, "What sorts of things does he like?"
(omg, sorry it's so short! x.x)

"...I guess not. But do princesses have to be damsels?" She'd grown up with the notion that all girls were princesses, in some way or another, even if she, for one, had dirt up to her elbows half the time, and killed her own dinner. At Glyph's observation that she could be fierce if she wanted to, she laughed and bared her little fangs. "I haven't bitten anyone in forever."
Adi wasn't sure there was such a thing as too many presents. "I...don't really know, exactly. How do I find out what he likes without asking him and spoiling the surprise?"

"Do...? What?" Glyph tilted his head and laughed, "No, I suppose not. A warrior princess, or a druid princess is also okay!" He play-cowered when she bared her fangs, smiling the whole while, "So fierce!"
"Ah... ask his mo-" he cut himself off and swallowed as he bit his lip, "I mean Xun. Lifewater ought to know something."

"You think I should?" Adi's ears flicked back and forth, indicative of a minor internal conflict. "I...haven't seen him yet."

"You should, I think... if for no other reason to see him. I think he's of the opinion we'll hate him for taking Ilisia," He sighed, "but I don't and I'm pretty sure you don't either. Maybe we can go find him, I'll walk with you and wait outside while you speak to him in case you need support?"
He stepped a little ways a way and turned, holding out his hand.
(can probably wrap this is up next post~)

"I don't," she agreed, but looked torn when Glyph suggested they go and see him now. "But I think I might...wait just a little?" The werewolf wasn't sure she was quite ready yet.
Still, she took Glyph's hand. She would go where he led, though it wouldn't be to see the dragon today.
((Since they've been played running into each other elsewhere :3.))
