"Nine months?" He must really know the place well, then... "You've got to tell me stories over lunch, then. I think it's an interesting place- sort of unpredictable, like that fearados attack a while back. Asides from that, uhh.. the campus is pretty big, so I still get lost sometimes."
She looked up at him, when he stopped, only to notice he was eyeing a place with lots of people.. and lots of noise. He couldn't be planning to eat there.. could he? That wasn't the mall, for one- but then he was moving on again, and minutes later, they'd reached the mall.
Apparently there was more than one route to it, from school..
"So.. where're we headed?" Already Vieve was looking around, trying to see if any of the shops she was interested had some kind of sale on.. no such luck. Well, no matter. Someday she'd be able to afford everything she wanted, and more.

Glancing back at the girl, Jericho raised an eyebrow at the mention of that fearados attack. That incident really kind of paled compared to the other things that have happened concerning the school.
"If you think that's insane... I suggest you look forward to the field trips," he said. There was one coming up anyway.. so perhaps she would find out soon enough. However, he noticed that she still hadn't really mentioned her own name. Was she really a student here? Well.. she did have a skull pin. Hm...
"To the food court," he replied, "This one place there has some pretty good burgers."

"Now you're describing it like that, I'm beginning to worry about the field trip," she said, biting her lip. There was no concern about dying, obviously, but the idea of pain wasn't particularly appealing.
"I did sign up for it, though.. are you going, as well?"
He'd looked surprised when she mentioned the fearados- as if it hadn't really been something to worry about. He did sound like he had some experience with these, though.. maybe he'd been on a similar field trip before. She was definitely going to ask more- it wouldn't hurt to be prepared, this round.
"Burgers sound pretty good," she agreed, smiling for the first time. "How about you order for both of us?"

"I should be.. granted nothing comes up preventing me from going," Jericho replied. It was to a boogeyman training ground. That was one hell of an opportunity for preparation in his opinion. Glancing over at the elemental once more, he raised an eyebrow briefly before nodding.
"Sure. Is there any way you like your burgers?" he asked. Might as well get that over with so he wouldn't end up getting something she couldn't stand.
In the back of his mind, he wondered if there was some sort of way for him to test out this person's knowledge of Halloween.. or to try and test where her loyalties lied.

"Fair enough. Maybe I'll see you around, then." Most of the students seemed like they were going- the whole school was in somewhat of a flurry, signing up for the field trip. Until now, she hadn't thought of any reason not to go.
"Uhhh. Extra cheese, I guess" It was nice of him to ask; idly, she wondered what he'd get. As long as he was paying for it, she wouldn't be too picky, though. The best way to get any food: free.
Picking a table nearer the corner, she sat down and waited for him. She was actually starting to get hungry, now, her stomach rumbling a little.
At least the queues weren't too long..

Nodding to the girl, Jericho went on to order two burgers. One with extra cheese, and the other with both bacon and cheese... with no lettuce or tomatoes or any of the other things really.
Waiting a few minutes for the food to be done, he took the tray of food and brought it on back to where the girl sat, setting it down.
"Here's yours," he said before shifting his wings and sitting down across from her.
"So uh.. you're.. an elemental?"

She reached out to take it; the burger was comfortably hot. Mmmmm. She couldn't understand how people tolerated cold food- unless it was ice-cream. Ice-cream was the only exception, ever.
Out of the corner of her eye she watched him shifting his wings; they did look pretty uncomfortable, considering their size, but it would be nice to have her wings.. maybe it'd be allowed in the later years.
Unwrapping the burger, she bit into it and chewed happily.
"Mmmmhh?" Vieve had the manners, at least, to swallow before answering. "I am, yeah... a fire elemental. Technically a ghost, except I'm all fire, instead of... all ectoplasm."
Well, he was clearly a dragon.. "And you?"
She.. had to ask, anyway. There were a lot of types of dragons..

Once he was comfortable, Jericho unwrapped his burger and began to eat as well. Mmm that was good stuff. As the girl answered his question, he nodded while thinking it over. Well that was a correct answer. The elementals weren't made of ectoplasm despite being among the ghosts. They just weren't the same sorts of spirits.
"I'm a chromatic red dragon," he replied. Her question didn't really surprise him. There were a lot of subtypes of dragons. While he knew of many, even he didn't know all the different types so he wouldn't be able to identify all upon sight.

"Chromatic red dragon, huh... Iiinnnteresting. I.. don't think I know anything about your kind, though- for that matter, you're the first dragon I've met, I think."
At least, Jericho was the first dragon she'd spoken to. With the population of Halloween being so diverse, it probably wasn't anything strange- besides, she'd grown up in the ghost slums.
While dragons probably lived somewhere comfortable, with their huge hoards of treasure. The thought irritated her slightly, and she bit into her burger again, trying to distract herself.
"I'm a salamander, specifically- my natural form is a bit dragonlike, as well, though we're a lot smaller. And we're not.. you know, solid." Another bite, and a sip of hot chocolate- he'd gotten her a hot drink, which she appreciated.
"Tell me more about the school! Like, anything a new student would probably want to know.. and also field trips, I guess."

Hm... well her info was pretty consistent with what he knew. Jericho didn't know a whole lot about elementals outside of the basics, however. But for a salamander, he would expect something either draconic or reptilian.
"I see... well anyway, about the school. It's not your average academy for sure, but you might have already gotten that much since you aren't that new," he said before pausing to think about it, "As far as the field trips go... they can be a bit... life changing. Stay on your toes. Don't be surprised if there's danger abound and be prepared if possible."

He hadn't looked particularly happy when he mentioned field trips were 'life-changing', so she took that to mean he probably hadn't stumbled upon treasure chests, or other types of loot.
"I'd thought field trips were meant to be fun.. looks like the academy has a different concept of 'fun', though."
She stared at him appraisingly- he didn't seem to have any noticeable scars or the like, though wounds probably healed over. Life-changing? Vieve really couldn't think of anything else that could possibly happen.. but she'd get to experience it for herself soon enough, she supposed.
Finishing up her burger, she dabbed at her mouth delicately with a tissue, then picked up the remainder of her hot chocolate. Deliciousssss.
"Sleepyyyyy," she murmured contently, sipping her drink. "Thanks for the meal, by the way, Jericho."

"... I don't think they were ever meant to be fun for this place," Jericho said while thinking about it. For the two he went on, there were ulterior motives for why they were on the trip in the first place. He had to wonder if there was some sort of bigger reason for the up coming one...
Well, he supposed they'd all find out sooner or later.
Finishing up his burger, he let out a breath before taking a few more sips of his pop.
"Yeah no problem...." he said, trailing off as if trying to figure out what her name was.

"As long as it's not like boot camp, or something..." Whatever the field trip brought, she'd face it head-on.
Just like how Jericho was staring at her pretty intently, and somewhat... scarily. She wasn't about to be.. dessert, was she?
"I..is there something on my face?"

She didn't get his cue.
Grimacing, Jericho let out a sigh before straight up saying, "You never gave your name."

..... Ohhhhhhhhh. Figures.
"My bad," she coughed, looking away sheepishly. Hadn't she given him her name when he'd introduced himself...? How.. strange... had he been trying to ask her, all this time? But she hadn't even noticed it..
"I'm Vieve," she answered. "Nice to meet you, I guess, though it's a bit late for that.." trailing off awkwardly again, she turned her attention instead to her drink, and finished it.
"Should we, uh, go, then?"
