Malodore was starting to reconsider its attitude of resignation towards the empathy - this was actually pretty useful, being able to pick up on Jove's feelings like this. At least in broad strokes. "Someone skilled with cosmetic alterations might be able to assist," it repeated, nodding firmly. "I am sure there are others in the same situation; surely someone has worked out a solution."
It tilted its head at Jove's last gesture. "Ah... is there something else you wanted?" It could feel the vague sense of want but divining the target was well beyond its capabilities.

The pup immediately started to blush, radiating a pale glow behind those freckles. Did Malodore forget already, or change his mind? Would it even be willing to teach him? His large fluffy tail flopped itself against the back of his legs, and he tried desperately to think of what sort of service he could offer in return...
But all he could think about was mushrooms.
He glanced up with some embarrassment, his sudden desire to learn, and seize the opportunity to do so, was going to take priority over his mountain of little worries. At least for now. "Show me?" He asked, uttering perhaps the closest thing to a full sentence anyone had gotten out of him in weeks. Whether it was actually a helpful sentence, that was yet to be seen.

"Ah, the salve? Of course, of course," Malodore said, with a nod. "Mi dispiace. It is a simple unguent, brewed from basic herbs. You should be able to get all of them without difficulty..." It stepped back to its desk and plucked free a book of simple herbcraft, which it had been avidly studying and experimenting with over the class break. Recuperating after its surgery had required bed rest, after all...
It scribbled down the recipe, then held it out to Jove. "I found this one to be fairly simple. Don't, ah, overdose on the hellebore, though. It may turn your flesh odd colors." As Malodore had discovered, to its own private detriment.
