"It puzzles us" the creature responded, it's hissing voice seeming more and more reminiscent of an insect then a bird.
"It is of no concern to you" Hissed another of the creatures upon Lina's question towards the coffin. It seemed to prepare to attack...
Until the first barked something in the sharp strange language. It spoke once more "Take what is yours... The coffin matters not"

He whispered to Lina, "The source of energy from the symbol on the moon led straight to this place. I can't exactly pin point the source without taking my focus off of them. I probably should have thought of that before going in like this." Ren was mentally preparing himself for combat when one of the figures made a premeditated hostile movement, but then another figure had stopped him from proceeding. Ren was starting to get the suspicion that the coffin was the source.

"I know that somethings strange about it" she whispered back, before glancing at it once more "I know that blade though, and I really don't want it in their hands if this turns ugly"
Lina started to move cautiously to claim the blade, watching the creatures carefully for any signs of hostile movement. At the same time she made sure to let her shadow cross Ren's as she moved around, making sure her path kept her several feet from the coffin at all times. Silently hoping Tier had jumped ship from her shadow so she wouldn't be limited if her gut instinct proved true.

Tier had recognized Lina's motive when the two shinobi's shadows interlaced. His shadow form had slipped into Ren's shadow while Lina passed. He too was mentally prepared to engage all four figures.

Ren's byakugan was still active, so he noticed the transition Tier made without directly looking/bringing attention to it. He suddenly remembered the destruction of the dojo's and the reason why they were here in the first place. Ren still had to ask the question, "Why did you destroy our buildings? Those were our homes." He asked the four figures, assuming they were connected since the things that destroyed the dojo's were also crows.

"They stole power" It hissed "One of five still stands"
The one that had been so ready to attack before cut in "For now"
The hissing clicking language resumed once more in strength as they watched Lina moving to retrieve the sword.

"I don't understand..." He just now noticed Lina was moving closer to the sword, and the reaction the figures had when she got closer. Ren was releasing small pulses of chakra into the earth beneath himself before it branched out underneath the four figures slowly.

Lina raised an eyebrow at the noises they were making. Wondering what they were hiding, were they planning another attack or...
It was then that Lina grabbed the blade
For a split second there was a sudden and complete absence of sound that spread across the land.
Lina found herself looking up at the sky, a single long chime sounding out from the metal of the blade still firmly planted in the ground, the red lightning arcing up from the ground in a visible stream between the blade and the moon.
Unlike everyone else the second of soundlessness didn't wear off as quickly for Lina, in fact it took several seconds before she even began to hear the ringing in her ears. The fact that she was laying on her back on the ground in the middle of what already felt like it was going to turn into a battlefield held little interest as she noticed the skeletal arm clinging the blade and the pain running down her right side.

The creatures started moving the moment the soundless chime went out. Two were prying the lid off the coffin.
One of the others, which was in slightly brown tinted robes and notably the aggressive member of the group, stomped one foot on the ground and and the energy Ren had branched out underneath him faded away rapidly as an earth wall started to rise from the ground.
The other one that remained, the 'leader' seemed to start making noises to show displeasure, but followed through with the attack, punching the ground and causing several geyser like sprays of water to rise from underneath the ground, the heated water quickly turning into an obscuring fog.

"Lina!" Ren looked down to Lina and then back to the brown robed figure, immediately Ren noticed the presence of his trap had faded. He stomped his right foot against the ground as a spike of chakra commanded the earth-wall to halt from rising any further. Ren threw his hands upwards as a medium sized boulder formed from the ground and floated upwards and over the coffin. He lowered the boulder at a face pace towards the coffin, not wanting to break it, but stop the two figures from opening it. There must have been something special about the coffin if the figures were trying to open it so hastily.

As the fog took hold of their surrounding area, Tier slipped away from Ren's shadow. His figure disappeared again into the fog. Tier also noticed their attention towards the coffin, and was keeping an eye on Lina. Although the fog was shortening their line of sight, Tier's yellow eye could see chakra signatures and had thermal vision. Unless the fog had a special property that obscured those visions too.

Lina rolled around for a few moments before starting to push herself up with her remaining arm. She was halfway to her feet before she started to shout. "Should be obvious by now, one element released for each dojo they destroyed..." She took several deep breaths "Probably means whatever is in that will fill in for wind somehow"
Once to her feet she shivered, at the damage she was feeling along her her right with her remaining arm, she could feel where the armor was stabbing into her, even if it seemed to have maintained some semblance of it's integrity. Still those annoyances were minor, her mind knew there were two options... retreat from the fight and maybe manage to recover her arm or....
There was a sudden buildup of Rai and Lina's left arm shot up into the air, she caught the lightning strike and used it to overfill her reserves of Rai before moving the lessened charge circling her hand and sealing the wounds by a mix of cauterization and light based healing techniques.
She started to take stock of the situation trying to decide which of the remaining birds was Rai, and which variation the elemental game of rock paper scissors would result in as she compared their four members against the four currently in play.

To Tier the fog would seem strange as it was clearly a technique of some sort, but similar to how Ren's earth technique's energy seemed to fade away while the creatures powered their techniques so too had any traces of chakra in the water.
Of the two creatures trying to pull the coffin open the one in a yellow tinted cloak stopped what it was doing, moving on-top of the coffin. It made several noises before swinging a hand up and stabbing the boulder with a hand coated with lightning. Although the technique had only been visible for a moment before stabbing into the rock the technique seemed to be discolored into the same red lightning rising from the ground.

Tier was just now starting to realize what was happening with their opponents; according to Lina's statement about the destroyed dojo's. Not only that, but when Ren was displacing chakra into the earth, the brown cloaked one used it against them by forming an earth-wall of his own. If that's the case..
Tier spawned half-way from his own shadow as his mouth snapped open, taking aim at the figure who was standing on top of the coffin while Ren had the earth-wall stopped. Water Prism A beam of extremely pressurized chakra and water shot forth from Tier's mouth with enough force to pierce a boulder.

Ren took note of what Lina had shouted. After the yellow cloaked figure stopped his boulder, he quickly dragged his attention to the other two figures who hadn't shown their capabilities yet. Ren kicked the ground once with his right leg and once with his left. Two medium sized spiked-pillars shot forth diagonally from in front of Ren, one for each of two unknown figures.
