The bush finally calmed down as Bea picked it up again, but very gently this time. As she gave it a few strokes on it's back, she looked up and smiled delightfully at the sloth demon. "Thank you so much for tutoring me, Barth."
"Um, I do have one question..." she asked curiously, "What happens... If you do over exerted yourself? Like... Used too much Fear?"

"Thank you for listening! And...me, personally?" Barth looked uncomfortable. "That's err, err- you're sort of asking- well, it's...I don't have-alright, look for scientific purposes... it- it puts me at a bit of a disadvantage. And involves a lot of sleeping. Rather more than usual. Which is a lot, for me, suffice to say. I try to avoid it. Err. I'd appreciate if you didn't spread that around. Not sure how it is with others. Not over-doing it is the key thing here."
"Anything else? You err, going on that field trip that's coming up?"

Bea made a zip-like motion from one corner to her mouth to the other. "I promise I won't tell anyone!" She felt so special, being trusted with a secret. Typically, she would would not hesitate to tell someone and start gossiping, but this... this was an exception.
"Um... I don't think I have any more questions about Fear for now. If I do, I'll be sure to hunt you down to ask you," she giggled.
"Yes! I'm going. I'm not looking forward to wearing a black turtleneck... and um... jeans." She groaned a bit at the thought of constricting her legs with denim. "It's supposed to be my uniform for the team... You're going, right?"

"Bright red bell bottoms, if you can believe it," Barth said, a little glumly. "The uniform and the trip are both against my better judgement."

"Yuck! I'm sorry to hear that," she frowned. "Hopefully, the trip will go well though. Speaking of uniforms, I gotta go meet someone to go shopping for said uniforms. So, anyway, stay safe during the trip! I'd hate to hear anything terrible had happened to you. And um...Thank you again for tutoring me." Bea blushed a bit as she waved goodbye to Barth, picking up her red bush and walked out of the classroom.

"You too. On all counts. Except the tutoring, flip that one." Barth watched her leave, shrubbery in tow. Very intelligent, he thought. Ambitious.
"And you're very welcome. Any time. ...Have fun."
He hoped to see her more in the Mad Science room. And wouldn't mind seeing her outside of it. Mostly he hoped both survived the field trip.
