Birhan. How that name caused his haunches to raise and his hair to stand on end. His beloved guard had watched countless members of her team to beat and pummel and tear into him, but in the end, SHE was the one to take the information his thinning resistance was holding tight. She pried his hands open and took the little scraps he had, and made him feel the worst of it all. That he betrayed his side, his team, and his friends. She had proven Ares' words were correct, and he was in fact very worthless in the group.
"I'd like that, but I'd like taking one of them even more. I want a trap that takes them and makes them feel the same sort of panic and distress for their team that our team felt, and to make an example of one of their members." He gripped the top bar of the bench, squeezing till his hands went white. Even now, his left hand barely felt anything in the fingertips, nerves severed when his fingers had been broken. "I want Gunn to burn." He wanted her to have scars and to come back to her fraction weakened, traumatized, and scarred.

The words hovering on the tip of his tongue would probably have gotten Ilmenite in more trouble than just about anything else:
That's because you're crazy.
He was learning, though. As a person, he was growing. As an officer, he was more responsible now than he'd been when Zink first nabbed him off the street and set him up proper. He managed to keep the words down, even if his expression reflected his thoughts to a certain degree. His silence, even, was telling: a pause just long enough to reorganize his thoughts, Wolfy would probably be able to read that he was censoring himself, at least.
"...well. Good luck with that, I guess." And he was going to take his leave, now that he wasn't worried about being stabbed in the back, turning around properly to head back for the nearest roof. He had other things to be working on.
Things that weren't like walking on land mines.
