broken_bleeding_angel Vampires would classify under supernatural. So no worries. ^w^ Would fantasy dreams about Supernatural classify under us? *lecherous grin* twisted I have a thing for Dean Winchester.... eek Anyway, For realz this time, I love the idea of fantasy and maybe I am behind on what we are discussing but are we sticking to high fantasy with elves, unicorns, dwarves, etc. or rather what I should ask is, what are our parameters? I like the masquerade idea...but I also liked the idea of making our way through the labyrinth...can't get out unless you reach the center, must ask help from helpful (or harmful) creatures in order to find your way...which could culminate in the masquerade...everyone in the finest but in secret it is the last test....sorry I am kinda babbling on...its Monday morning. burning_eyes

Find the reality and escape, get lost in the fantasy and be doomed to become it for eternity. ♥

Games could revolve around getting into or out of certain parts of the labyrinth, or recognizing what is or isn't reality...we could do fantasy based brain teasers! XD DeandroolDean

And to raise the stakes! The longer they stay in the realm the more at risk they are of becoming pat of it. And the closer they are to getting out of course the more dangerous it is, but it also releases more dangerous creatures of the realms.

I can see them slowly turning into a faerie tale creature as they become more and more lost in the realm...So as they get further in....more dangerous dream creatures, like nightmare stuff or more dangerous fantasy creatures like redcaps?? There was a time/clock theme in the movie, would we want to incorporate that as well or would that be too close to last years theme?

You couldn't eat or drink any food given from the fae or that would make you theirs forever. Also if you stepped in a fair ring (mushroom ring) you would become trapped their until they released you or someone else came along and freed you.

I LOVE old world Fae stories, I might have to brush up on my mythology...maybe they can bring things to defend themselves like the legend that if you are cornered by the fae you throw sugar (or maybe its salt) on the ground and they are compelled to pick up and count every grain....or if the traveler (labyrinth runner) has cold iron on them they can use that defend themselves. Would you mind straightening something out for me? Since I am a bit of a ditz...the theme we are discussing right now, does that apply to every single ball room or just ours? sweatdrop

(People would even get paid in salt. It's where throwing salt over your left shoulder after spilling it comes from.) Iron would work yes. Though we shall have to limit the iron they have at every possible chance.

Maybe they HAVE to get the iron from us, or win it in a contest/task...? On a broader spectrum, we could have some fun and less serious games as well. smile

I'm going to find and go through my old school Fae books to see what I can find. ♥ In the meantime we can work on the layout of the castle and it's grounds. How many levels are there going to be? How big is the garden and rooms? How many rooms will there be? What will it all be made out of? (Marble! D:< Pretty, expensive, glittering, glorious, marble! D:<)
I'll draw us out a landscape plan and do the several layers so we can plan this all out and have images for our guests to use from. ♥

I like the idea of marble, especially since they are so many kinds and shades!! You can have black, white, cream, red, veined marbles....I also like the idea of crystal...in the form of lighting and wall/ceiling hangings. 13 levels for 13 hours? That always seems to be the magic number..but again straight from the labyrinth. Seems to me that the garden should be large...maybe totally surround the castle except for the entrance? An will the garden also be a hedge maze? In that case the garden could cover most of the grounds...Just throwing out thoughts, feel free to offer up other suggestions. smile I guess we don't want to overdo it on number of rooms, too many and it might be a little overwhelming.
