Ate had missed it all! The amazing rescue, the quick thinking and the eventual destruction of the monster. But she didn't mind, in fact she was happily dreaming of a certain teacher as a fireman...for some crazy reason. Either way she was in a world much better than this one and was in no hurry to stir from her youma-induced KO as Sessrumnir went to work turning of the sprinklers. It was only when he aimed to make her more comfy did she wake from her slumber.
"Oh....hey...did we...we didn't did we?" She looked worried for a second as she stared up at him leaning over her. Head fuzzy, check. Soaked to the bone, check. Inability to feel her legs, check....dammit did she miss a great night again! She nearly wept with frustration if it weren't for the hideous smell which brought all the lovely memoires of what did happen come flashing back. All 500Lb's of sludge and grime dying away in puddles of old stagnant water was enough to make any one retch and Ate was not above doing that in public.
"Uhhh god...ewww that smell!! Phuh, pluhhh!! Uhhhh...and the after taste! Oh *cough* did you- did you get him? Ha! You did! Oh wow! And here I thought Pages weren't worth the cauldron you were boiled in! Ugg's I owe you my life!" Throwing herself towards him she envelop him in a, albeit smelly, hug and squeezed until her arms were sore. Although the topic playing at the forefront of her mind was Michael and his safety she couldn't help but feel he was ok. She didn't want to assume, it would be too glorious to just assume. But dam she wanted to.
"We need to get out of here, but uhh....you can umm power down without me beside you." She slightly whispered the last bit as if she thought for a second Sessrumnir knew what she was talking about, a wink quickly followed and she pulled herself up using the quad bike as leverage. Head still bleeding she walked towards the back door, the owner of the garage still lying somewhere unconscious she motioned for the page to get going.
"Thanks again Uggs, if we ever meet again I promise to pay you back for everything!"

It was okay if she missed it! There would certainly be some other occasion in which Sessrumnir would have to execute a daring rescue and/or destroy a giant youma. It was in his blood, after all (apparently)!
He shifted his shoulder in a half shrug at her announcement of him saving her, not minding the hug that came after at all. "Not a problem, Legs," he grinned, amused by her use of the nickname, but not really minding. He was wearing some kind of horrible Ugg-like boots, after all. But they were so comfortable. While it would be nice to assume Ate was the lovely young woman he had a dinner date with, but he wouldn't mind either way.
After being on the open ocean for years, putrid smells only affected him so much. He was on an aircraft carrier, not a fishing boat, so the attention back to the lingering smell had him wrinkling his nose in disgust. Yeah, he wasn't going to be hanging around to clean all that up.
"We'll make it a date," he suggested with a wink as he stood and watched her retreat towards the back door. He was concerned about her condition, but even more concerned about what had happened to Venice. After one more look around the garage to make sure she got out okay, Sessrumnir made his exit, figuring Ate didn't want to power down in front of him, either.
Maybe he could look Venice up on Facebook.
