Pyrrhos thought about the best why to explain the different ways of taking down prey. "Well, if you're too far away, crashing out of the brush could startle your prey into jumping the wrong way, or freezing, allowing you to get closer. If you're close enough, and practice will help you find your ideal range, simply pounce from where you are, if you can."
"As for where to pounce, the neck is definitely one of the better areas, especially for large game. If you were hunting a rabbit, for example, you could pounce right on its back, breaking the spine. Another good spot to try for is the hamstring, here." He moved around Saira and ran a claw across the back of one of her hind legs. "If you miss the neck, you can try for that. I suggest that as a last resort, though, you could be kicked." He moved back around in front of her.
"Claws are good for traction, so they should be out as soon as you've made it to your prey. And Teeth would be a good idea too." He grinned down at her in amusement.

Ever the avid student, Saira absorbed the information Pyrrhos imparted to her. She couldn't help but shudder slightly as he ran a claw around her hind leg, imagining someone biting into her there. Thankfully, foxes didn't have so many predators. She shook off the feeling and focused again on what the 'Daeva was saying.
"Alright then," Saira said as Pyrrhos finished his explanations. "Claws, teeth, neck, spine, hind leg. In that order. Noted. So, in the absence of an actual prey, how should I go about practicing this?"
