Zeus was oblivious to Layleeta's state of shock as well as whatever their trainers were doing, and hopped up onto Claire's towel again before flopping on top of it with a sigh to nap once more. He did open one green eye to see what became of the Deerling - and he was just laying there, shaking - pathetic. Oh well, he'd learn eventually. Naptime.
Claire watched Isadora while she got out to take care of the very frightened-looking Deerling, releasing a slow sigh as she waited for the therapist to surface once more. "No, you're not a bad trainer," she reassured her with a shake of her head, her hair splayed out around her in the water. "Some pokemon are a lot easier - or harder," she gave a pointed look at Zeus, "to train than others. He's just a really hard one to train, it's not your fault. Maybe he'll be a little more receptive now," she suggested with a small shrug. "And, well, if not.. I'm sure Zeus would be more than willing to knock some sense into him. Uh, maybe in a slightly less... dangerous method." Like just.. shocking him a bit or something, not throwing him clear across the freaking pool... Though, she had to admit, it was a good throw. And a good catch by the Arcanine. "Has he always been so.. angry? It might just be taking him a while to calm down."

Isadora sighed as she listened to Claire. She dipped her head backwards into the water and soaked her hair in it for a few moments, then brought her head back up and pushed the few stray strands out of her eyes. At her offer to let Zeus 'talk' with Layleeta some more, Isadora chuckled softly. "Well, who knows? Maybe some shock therapy will be good for the little bugger." Her eyes glanced over to observe her still shivering Pokemon on the chair at the edge of the room. "...Yeah, he's always been like that. At least, for as long as I have been in possession of him. I highly doubt that he was always like this, though. No one is ever that hateful at birth."

The mention of shock therapy made her chuckle lightly. "Zeus is always willing to give shock therapy should anybody need it. Even if they're not," she added ruefully. He was always more than willing to shock anything that needed it or not. Oh well.
"I don't think it has anything to do with you then," she said slowly after a few thoughtful moments, her brow furrowed slightly. "It might have something to do with before you got him. Did you catch him yourself, or..?" She couldn't quite remember if Isadora had mentioned it yet - if she had, Claire must've forgotten. Normally she would be concerned about such things, but right now she just wanted to relax as much as possible. Now that all the pokemon had settled down, that was a much easier goal to reach.

Isadora smiled awkwardly. That Zeus... He was an odd one, all right. A lazy, fat little bugger, yet he was incredibly strong and not afraid to call someone out on their mistakes. It was a strange concept for Isadora to wrap her head around, but it certainly wasn't the oddest case she's seen. "Oh no, I didn't catch him myself. He was a gift from one of the Executives... Oh, what was his name? Lore?" Yes, Lore. That sounded right. He was that fairly handsome one, the one who so much less uptight than the other higher ups to be virtually a polar opposite. He brought Layleeta over from Unova and it ended up being that Isadora was the Deerling's caretaker. "And since he was from an Executive, I can't just give up on Layleeta. I can't help but feel like he's supposed to be some sort of challenge for me." The woman sighed heavily and floated onto her back, her arms splayed out on the surface of the pool water. She chuckled somewhat bitterly. "Ironic, isn't it," she said, "that the most angry and confused one of the bunch would end up with Team Rocket's local therapist. How funny it is." 'Funny' her a**.

"Lore?" Her brow furrowed a bit again. "I remember the name, but I have yet to meet him. What's he like?" The fact he gave Isadora a pokemon was incredibly intriguing. Had he given out others, and to who? And why? "That's entirely understandable," she went on with a nod, expression clearing as she stretched out to float on her back as well, hazel eyes focusing on the ceiling instead. "And he definitely looks like a challenge, alright. A challenge you'll overcome, I'm sure. It'll just take plenty of time and patience."
A smile twitched onto her face at that. "It is ironic," she agreed, watching Xina and Blue float by out of the corner of one eye. "But that's why you'll succeed, I'm sure." And if not, there was always shock therapy.

"To be honest, I really didn't see much of him," she admitted to Claire. She tried to recall a picture of him in her mind. "He was a lot kinder and much more easy-going than I assume the other Executives would be. And he seemed to like card tricks a lot." Odd, but not unusual. She shrugged her shoulders. "And I don't recall him ever speaking to me personally. It was almost as if my getting Layleeta was a completely random event."Claire's faith in Isadora certainly was by no means unexpected, considering all of the talks they two had had together, but it was most definitely welcomed. A small flush of color painted Isadora's face. It was nice that someone at least had confidence in her abilities. "...Thank you, Claire. You're really too kind." She smirked as she stole another glance in her shivering Pokemon's direction. "Pokemon are a lot harder to crack than humans are, but I suppose that's the fun in it."On the other side of the pool, Iditarod huffed as she looked over to the Deerling. Stupid little git. He got what was coming to him for provoking that fat Pikachu like that. The Arcanine made a mental note not to get on the Pikachu's bad side in the future. She presumed that she would be a lot harder to throw across a pool than a skinny deer. It'd be amusing to see the Pikachu try to lift her. On that note, Iditarod stood and stretched a little before glancing over to the Growlithe nearby. ["Farewell, young one. I hope we meet again."] Without another word, the Arcanine made her way over to the shaking Deerling and, once removing the towel, firmly grasped him in her jaws and set him down on her back, positioning him so that he would not fall. Iditarod turned her head over to her human and barked loudly so that it echoed through the tiled room. The bark made Isadora look over in her Pokemon's direction in surprise. When she saw the little Deerling on Iditarod's back, realization struck the doctor and she smiled gratefully. "Yes, thank you very much, Iditarod. Please take him back to the office, if you would." The Arcanine nodded solemnly and walked out of the pool room. Iditarod would definitely be getting a biscuit and a belly rub later, Isadora mused. It really was a superb catch. At Iditarod's leave, Isadora presumed that it would be a good time for her to depart as well. She had an appointment soon, anyway. The doctor looked back to Claire with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry to cut our talk short, but I really should be getting back to work. I do enjoy talking with you, though." And that was the truth. It was very reassuring to know that Isadora had at least one friend within Team Rocket. Isadora got out of the pool, dried herself and Basil with one of the towels, and slipped on her dress, shoes, and glasses. When she turned to leave, she gave a small wave to her friend. "I suppose I'll see you later! Let us talk again soon, yes?" With that, Isadora left the pool, her Meganium at her side. ...If this kept up, she would have to go into Pokemon psychology as well.

"Really?" Claire frowned thoughtfully. "Huh, maybe it was. Right time, right place sort of thing, possibly?" The agent suggested with a light 'hm' at the end. It was entirely possible - but the question of just why an executive would be handing out free Unova pokemon was still stuck in her mind. She was a little envious, but only a tiny bit - she was happy with her pokemon, and they weren't hard to come by. Maybe she'd get more after she trained her current ones a bit more...
"Hm?" Oh, she was still talking. Oops. "I'm being serious," she corrected with a warm smile. "I think it's fun, myself, and I think you'll have little trouble cracking him." She wasn't saying it to be nice, she was saying it because that's what she honestly thought. The dark-haired young woman paused in her floating as she heard Iditarod bark, hazel eyes lazily drifting between the fire-type and her trainer. She offered the therapist another smile, standing up and brushing the soaking wet hair out of her face. "It's alright," she assured her with a slight wave. "Of course. We should go out to Camphoreon sometime," she suggested brightly, sinking down so the water rippled around her shoulders. "See you later, Isadora," the agent said before the therapist left. Humm.. Now what? Well, might as well do a few laps.
With that thought in mind, Claire began swimming from one end of the pool to the other, making several rounds before getting out, drying off, recalling her pokemon and leaving.
