"We just ended up getting lucky." He gave Jin a wide smile. "If we have another project where we're allowed to pick a partner, would should join forces again." He laughed, putting his hand over his face. "Not like we're some kind of superheros fighting evil." The blond boy kept laughing until he felt the sweet, sticky treat run into his sleeve. "Oops..." Evan licked his hand and rolled up his sleeve, but instead of grabbing a napkin he also licked the sherbert from his arm. He looked up with a short, quick smile, "Sorry about that." He grabbed a nearby napkin and wiped the length of his forearm with an embarrassed blush stinging his cheeks.

And just like that, Jin's own fluster was gone, and instead, he was laughing unabashedly at Evan's antics. That was pretty adorable-
No not adorable. Evan wasn't adorable. He sighed a little and focused on his icecream after getting all the giggles out. "If we're superheros..." He started "I'm not wearing my underpants outside a pair of tights. That's all you." He looked back over his quickly vanishing icecream at Evan and smirked.

The blond haired boy's lips curled into a frown as Jin laughed. "I wouldn't want to wear underwear underwear on the outside of my tights. I-I wouldn't want to wear tights in the first place...." As he spoke, Evan felt as if he was just turning the color of a tomato in front of Jin. He took a bite out of his cone thanking his lucky stars he didn't get brain freeze from the intake. "If I was a superhero, my outfit would be cool. No cape of course. Those seem like they cause a lot of problems..." It would seem that Evan had put more than a little thought into being a superhero... But what boy hadn't? He licked around the edges of the cone before taking another bite.

"But you'd look so great in spandex." Jin said offhandedly. Of course, he played it off as teasing. He wouldn't admit that he's worn tights before. Actually, he wore them fairly often when dancing and practicing.
"So what would your super powers be, if you were a hero? And your name?" He could at least humor him. It was fun to listen to Evan talk. He just seemed so... care free. So refreshing. He found himself smiling a little goofily as he absently ate his icecream until he got a particularly large mouthful and his head began to hurt.
"Ow ow ow..." He pinched the bride of his nose.

Evan wasn't quite sure how to take that statement. He finished off the rest of his ice cream with one last brain freezing bite and sighed. "I think I'd look very.... Awkward." He grabbed a napkin to wipe his hands free from the sticky mess of ice cream, but some of the treat refused to come off.
He brushed his blond locks out of his eyes with his clean hand as he mulled over the question. "I've always imagined the I would be able to fly and shoot heat beams from my hands." He laughed at the thought, "I'd go around fighting crime and saving all those "damsels in distress" you hear about." HE rolled his eyes when he gestured his hand quotes. "But I never really thought of a name..." He glanced away from Jin, thinking of what cool names he had come up with when he was younger. When Evan's gaze landed back on Jin, he couldn't help but laugh at the boy's antics. "Looks like you tried to eat that too fast." He chuckled and watched as Jin dealt with the pain of brain freeze.

"Nah. Come on. You'd look adorable." Jin said, looking over his hand at Evan. Why did brain freeze have to make his eyes hurt? He blinked a couple times, trying to warm up his eyes or something while Evan talked about his powers. Heat beams hm? "Guess you'd always have warm hands then. But you'd melt icecream really fast if you weren't careful." He said, finally finishing off his cone, and suffering a little more brain freeze. "Tich..." He never learned.

Evan narrowed his eyes, giving the boy another frown. Teasing wasn't nice and his red cheeks showed that he was embarrassed by it. He turned away from Jin, pretending to look at something interesting on the far side of the room. "I would be an unfortunate thing to not be able to hold ice cream... But, I think someone would feed it to me if I asked nicely." His lips curled up pleasantly at the corners as he turned his attention back to Jin.

What Evan thought was teasing, was Jin being honest. He made no secret of his preference towards men. ... At least, he was pretty sure it was no secret. Women really squicked him out. So lavishing compliments, teasing though they may sound, was really the truth. Jin kind of hated himself for it right now too. They'd really only spent time together working on their project, and they were friends.
At Evan's comment about being fed Icecream, Jin's mouth went off before his brain. "I'd feed it to you." Promptly he smacked his head down on the vaguely sticky table. Oh, he regretted doing this now. The table was kind of gross. But it was better then being seen making stupid embarrassed faces at Evan because he couldn't keep himself in check.

Evan perked up like a little puppy. "See!" He gave Jin a wide toothed grin, "You would do it if I asked nicely, so having warm hands would be no problem." He wasn't phased by the boy's statement, rather welcoming of it actually. He did worry about Jin when he rested his head on the sticky table with a soft thud. Evan resisted the urge to tell him who knows what's been on that table, but instead poked his head as he inquired. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah... I'm fine. I think." He felt whatever was on the table try to stick to his forehead as he lifted it up off the table. Note to self: Go wash up asap. "I'm just... Making kind of an a** of myself, aren't I?" He sucked his lower lip half into his mouth, chewing on the left side. It still kinda tasted like icecream. Mmm. He sat back and stared at Evan again.
"Oh enough of this!" Jin threw his hands in the air before standing up and looking at Evan. He leaned over the table as best he could. "I like you." He stated very bluntly. Knowing this could full well end their friendship then and there, Jin just dove in deeper. Go big or go home, right? "There's a holiday dance coming up. I'd like you to be my date."

You could practically see the curly haired boy's head quirk to the side in confusion. "You're not making an a** of yourself...." He answered Jin meekly, watching as he nervously bit his lip. Maybe his friend had hit his head a bit too hard. Or maybe something on the table leaked into his brain...
He stifled a laugh at his thoughts and watched Jin's funny antics. He seemed frustrated for some reason.Then he started speaking again, making Evan furrow his brow. "Of course I like you too! Why do you think we're out for ice cream?" Did Jin possibly think that Evan didn't want to be friends? Was that why he was so anxious? He didn't have to worry about any of that! The blond haired boy simply nodded his head with a wide smile as his friend went on taking. "Well sure I'll go."
It took him a moment to actually comprehend the whole of what Jin had said. "Wait, um... Date?" It wasn't quite getting to him. Was Jin using date sarcastically? He scratched his head, mulling it over but he wouldn't back down on his word.

Evan's quick reply helped ease a lot of the anxiety. Evan said yes... And then proved that he had no idea what Jin intended. Well, actions spoke louder then words, right? Jin cursed his smaller frame and the fact he couldn't lean over the table, so he did the next best thing by reaching out and grabbing Evan's coat collar and pulled him forward to meet him halfway.
And now he'd done it. Jinju pulled Evan forward into a kiss. Not one of those awkward kisses where both parties had their lips closed and it was like mashing faces together. No, Jin actually kissed him with everything short of tongue before letting Evan go.
"Yes, date." his dark brown eyes stared intently into Evan's own hazel eyes. "I said I like you, and I'd like to have a relationship outside of just school buddies or 'good friends.' I'd like to take you out as a boyfriend." Was he spelling it out too much? Evan was going to get mad and think Jin thought he was stupid or something, wasn't he? But Jin couldn't help it. What if Evan was straight? 'Date' and 'more then just friends' could be totally lost on him.
He really hoped he got his point across though.

Jin couldn't have been any clearer. With the tug across the table and the crashing of their lips made it plain that he wanted to be more than friends. The blond was still in shock when their lips separated. He slowly sat back in his, sinking a bit. Evan had been kissed once before, but didn't consider a play from when he was five a real kiss.
But did he really like Jin? His cheeks burned bright as he placed his hands to cover them. He was at a loss for words when he finally tried to speak. Would it be ok to go out with a guy? He hadn't given it much thought. He looked around now, a little panicked by the situation and the growing pairs of eyes that gazed at them curiously. "I-I need to get some air." He pushed his chair out in a hurry letting it skid behind him as he made his way to the door, away from the customer's prying eyes.

He'd made a scene. While Jin was used to people staring at him, watching him, he forgot that Evan wasn't. Now here he was making the few people in the shop stare at them. His face softened instantly when Evan declared he needed air. But he hadn't thought the boy would move so fast to get out. Jin tried to catch his hand, but missed, and instead spun away from the table to chase him outside.
"Evan..." The tone was half pleading, half 'holy ******** don't hate me please' as he followed Evan outside. "Evan wait, please-" He wondered what he should say. What could he say? I'm gay, but I guess I didn't tell you? Or what about Haha, just kidding. Don't take it too seriously. Both thoughts left a bad taste in his mouth, and the second one made him feel physically sick.
Instead of saying anything, Jinju just stared at the back of Evan's curly hair and waited for him to say something. Anything. Even if he got mad. Just say something...

Evan took in a few deep breaths while his stomach did flips. This was the first time he's been asked out, and by another guy no less. Had Jin liked him this whole time? Was that the only reason he was nice to him? Well, at least he didn't try anything while they were working on the project. But did the blond like Jin the same way?
His hands ran through his hair nervously, catching the tangle of curls all the way through. Evan had been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Jin had followed him outside. He turned around and the shorter boy made him jump a bit, but an awkward, embarrassed smile settled on his lips. He did his best to look Jin in the eyes without blushing too hard.
He held this silence for as long as he could bear, finally opening his mouth to give Jin a real answer. "I don't know much about liking guys..." He paused, searching for the right words." B-but I do like you...." He cursed the subtle stutter in his words, "And I'm not going to go back on my word. I'll be your b-b-" He cleared his throat. "Your date to the dance." There he said it, but his stomach still did flips and turns. By the time he was done talking to Jin, he face had turned a color akin to a tomato.
