“I’ll mind that I address them to people who are clever enough for them, though their –hardly- my business.” He laughed at her opinion and rolled his eyes. “Ah… the party line, just as mindless as expected. WELL done.” He clapped dryly.
“Though for all your bravado, I think you defiantly err on the wrong side of the line that separates brave from stupid, little page.”

Alright, she would give him that she was playing fast and loose with the brave and stupid line. Courage was a much nicer way of saying idiocy, after all, but Tate had never really quibbled with that line and neither would Avalon. Only, she didn't count herself stupid, and knew when she was pushing her luck--it was definitely time to bail, probably beyond it in fact. She didn't turn as she backed away; Negaversers could move pretty fast, after all. "Sometimes the party line's the wisest line to be toeing," she told him, approaching a corner. She knew there was a twenty-four hour cafe that was usually pretty full of DCU students, even at this late hour, and hoped it'd be enough to conceal her.
She couldn't resist one last sassy comment as she ducked out of sight and away, though: "You don't seem to stray far from it!"
