Madison took the offered sword back with a weird sense of relief; the tension Kouki had been simmering in suddenly slackened and faded away. "Thanks," she said, running her thumb over the pommel. "I guess I just never had anything like this before..."
His next words surprised her. "Oh! Um... yeah, sure, that sounds like fun? You'd have to pick, like, which movie though. I don't know anything about them, y'know? Especially not with, like... monsters in them." She made a face. "My friends always wanted to go see them, but like... I could feel the shadows coming out of the screen, so..."
She was staring at her shoes by this point. It wasn't stupid to be afraid of horror movies when you could sense the shadows getting in through them, right?

Bix was relieved that Madison seemed oblivious to his verbal stumbling. She even.. was interested? He felt his face rush hot but once again, tried to play it cool.
"How about something animated? It might be less scary if it's a cartoon." Training seemed suddenly to be secondary in his mind. He leaned on his bow a bit and she hissed in his mind about 'disrespect'. "I totally jump whenever anything jumps out in movies! Animated ones are better. There's tons of anime about samurai and monsters.. and what's funny, those are probably closer to our real life now than any live action movie." He laughed a bit and blew his bangs out of his eyes.

"A cartoon?" Madison blinked. "But wouldn't it be, like, better for training if it was actual people? I dunno how much I could learn off of watching a cartoon wave a sword around, or whatever... I want to learn too," she said, with a sigh. "It's like... I've never done anything like this, so like... I guess I feel like everything I do should have, like... something related to being a Hunter somehow. No goofing off."
The words were spoken reluctantly, though, as if she were trying to convince herself and not really buying it.

"It's not what you think by cartoon.." he opened his mouth but it dawned on him that Madison may have never watched anime before. He wouldn't force it, plus he had no idea what sort of collection they had here in the facilities. He also had to find a way to rent or use a TV for some period of time. The albino hunter just cracked a smile.
"Ok.. well we will do it your way. How about I will check out the library and pick out some movies and then I will text you or knock on your door or something one I work out acquiring a TV?" He was now too distracted to train and de-summoned Mina. She mentally let him know that he was scrutinizing his goings on with this girl very closely.

"Sure, sounds good..." She gave him a grateful smile, much more at ease than she'd been at the beginning. "It'd be cool to, like, have something else to do. I feel like half the time I'm staring at the wall, y'know? I can't live my whole life like that..."
Which was, truth be told, something she was a little afraid of. That she'd just signed up for a lifetime of severe boredom punctuated by moments of extreme terror.

"Yeah we are going to have to start changing our lifestyles I think." Bix frowned. "Ya know.. within reason."
His lifestyle had mostly revolved around the internet. He'd done more walking at Deus than he had in the last 4 years of school. "But umm.. it was cool running into you?" What a nerd, he told himself. "I'll leave you to practice. Now that we are talking about movies I really wanna go check out the selection." He cracked a crooked smile and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his sweats.
"I'll get back at you about the movie night." The albino hunter did a weird little wave. "Sorry I couldn't help you more with the swords.. and thanks to your weapon for tolerating me." He knew, if Mina had whined, that her swords probably had too.
"See you." Another smile, a small wave, and he was headed back to the building. He walked a bit jauntily, a quick pace that took him out of sight within moments.

"Yeah," Madison said, quietly. Not something she liked thinking about, but hey. Still, she responded to his smile with a more ready one of her own. "Sure, looking forward to it... thanks for the help!"
If Kouki heard Bix's words, the serpent-sword gave no sign - instead, he just buzzed inside Madison's head. Can we practice for real now? he asked, petulantly.
Madison groaned internally. She was hoping he might have forgotten about that.
