"Oh, I don't mind doing it!" Xiu assured him quickly, eyes widening, "It'll be a lot of work, but...I imagine that it would be pretty fun as well!" Ultimately though, it depended on what Mitsu and Junko thought, especially if the club happened to be up by then and they were all being enlisted to help.
Perking up at Taryn's question, the Baku hummed thoughtfully and scrunched up her nose. "We'll probably try to do different things, so...all of those! If we're making stuff for events, we'll work together. There will be some group work as well, and..." She paused at the idea of experimentation. Xiu personally didn't have a problem with it, but with some students being newbies to this baking stuff...
"...Experimentation with some guidance." She said finally.

"Suddenly taste testing seems a lil more... dangerous than I thought it'd be," Roch joked, grinning. "I'll ask Mitsu, too," he added. "I don't want to rope people into things they don't feel... nah, I won't use the word 'comfortable,' how about 'capable' of doing?" he offered. "And I'll do what I can, of course. Although I don't know how useful I'd be in a setting like that."
He shrugged, turning to grin at Taryn. The little Chimera had cheered up quickly and become more comfortable. "See? Xiu IS nicer than I am," he teased her.

At Roch's comment, Taryn's face grew a little deeper red and she shyly smiled. Alright, alright, so Xiu was actually pretty sweet and she'd had no good reason to be frightened. Go on, Roch, poke your fun. She recovered in moments, though, to respond properly.
"Anyone can bake with some proper guidance, I think," Taryn nodded, "I'm sure we'll all be tasting each other's creations as it is, though... so we're all potentially doomed. At least we're not too far from the nurse's office." She considered Xiu's explanation and continued:
"Sounds great! I can't wait." Of course, this was Taryn's first club that didn't involve sitting in the darkness in silence. Movie club was great, don't get her wrong, but it didn't truly involve much social interaction. This? This was good. She would be forced to work with others who would be forced to work with her, and hopefully some friends would be made in the process... or at least project-buddies.

The Baku couldn't help but grin at Roch's comment about taste testing. Yes, that job was indeed turning out to be a little riskier than she already imagined. But uh...what was the worst that could happen, right? ...Hm. "...I...I apologize beforehand, Roch. I hope you and the other taste-testers are really prepared for this job." Not to mention that two of those taste-testers were the two students running for student council president. Not the type of people you'd want to give food poisoning too.
Turning a smile to Taryn, she bobbed her head eagerly at the other ghoul's words. "Y-yes! Well, at the very least, I'm sure that we'll all learn from each other along the way!" Despite being one of the co-presidents of the club, Xiu knew that she wasn't exempt from that. Hopefully this club would help her develop some more skill in the kitchen (as well as some better social skills and confidence)!
Clearing her throat awkwardly, Xiu suddenly seemed to grow shy as she held a hand out towards the chimera. "I, um...I'm glad we...we got a chance to talk to each other, finally!" She had definitely been meaning to ever since she learned that the other ghoul was a baker as well. "I look forward to baking with you!"

Roch grinned. The truth was, he'd been thinking, y'know? He had HIS friends and Xiu had HER friends, and not many of them were really shared friends--which, actually, might be a good thing if she wound up turning him down, that way people didn't have to feel guilty about not being able to pick who they sympathized with, but--
Well, he wanted Taryn to be shared. The truth was, she was more like a Xiu friend than a Roch friend, which was a bit stunning if you thought about it, since Roch was the one that had made friends with her first. But these two had a lot more in common.
And maybe getting them to be friends would make both of them happy. That would be great, right?

Taryn nodded, laughing slightly, and gave Xiu a nice, firm handshake. It had shocked her at first that Roch should be attracted to such a gentle flower, but she was beginning to realize that she and the... whatever she was were somewhat alike. If Roch could be friends with someone like her, why not fall in l-- ...fall in 'like' with someone like Xiu? She had never been a mutual friend, either, but she found she was rather looking forward to it.
"Me too! Hey, do you want my number?" the chimera ghoul asked, releasing the shake to pull her skellyphone from her pocket. It was an older, flip-open deal but served its purpose. She dialed into her contacts (a painfully small list) and opened up a new screen. "What's yours?"

At the question, Xiu immediately drew out her eyephone, her eyes lighting up. "Oh, yes please! Um, mine is..." She slowly recited her number for the ghoul, and then switched to her own contacts list to add Taryn. "And...could I get yours too?" Now that she thought about it, perhaps getting a list of skelephone numbers or squee-mails from the baking club members would be a good idea?
...Hmm! She would have to suggest it to Junko!
"Umm, if you have any questions or if you just want to chat, you're free to call or message me, okay?" Clutching her phone to her chest, the Baku smiled and gave a small bow. Straightening up, she gaze drifted from Taryn to Roch as she directed her next words to both of them. "We'll let everyone know when we're officially a club and when our first meeting is! U-um, please look forward to it!" A pause.
"...Wish me luck that I don't mess up somehow."

Roch blinked, going back to the present. "Xiu, you know you can do it--I know you can do it, which should at least mean SOMETHING, right? I mean, I pulled off starting a club, right? And I bet people will find you a LOT nicer to be led by than me."
Then he looked around. "Well, since there's no spookies or cupcakes or stuff, and I've already signed up, I should get going," he announced, giving them both a grin. "I wanted to do some stuff today."

Taryn bounced happily on her heels (or the caprine equivalent thereof) and gladly gave her number to Xiu. She had never shared her phone number with a near-stranger, and it felt kind of nice! She looked between her two companions and nodded in agreement, then, still rocking on her hooves.
"We should get together for tea some time!" the chimera said excitedly. How fancy. "I should probably get back to my studies, anyway. I'll see you both later!" Feeling warm and content, the ghoul began out of the room, waving as she went.

"We'll start baking next time," She told Roch with a grin, before nodding eagerly at Taryn's suggestion, "T-that would be wonderful!" She really did love a good cup of tea. Perhaps they could have a short lesson on tea for the club? Hmm, so many ideas! She and Junko had a lot to brainstorm and plan.
When Roch and Taryn both excused themselves, Xiu smiled and waved goodbye. "Thanks for dropping by! I'll see you both when the club opens!" And probably even before then, considering how they shared classes.
Once they left, the Baku turned her attention back to the sign-up sheet. Well, with so many people signing up, it looked like they had their work cut out for them. Well, now was as good of a time as any to start planning! Soon enough, the baking club will be up and running.
