"Yeah, I'll settle for complicated." He said, amused. Really, he was just... This all made no sense. Allll of it.
Past lives, okay, he could buy that on some level. But past lives from space ? Yeaaah. But yet as hard as it was to wrap his brain around it... He was pretty much standing in a castle in the middle of ******** nowhere, space.
He could deny it until he was red in the face, if he wanted, but what good would it do ?
It was really hard to try to figure out Leo with the mask on - perhaps that was the point ? but he couldn't help but be impressed when the chandelier was lifted.
He'd tried his hand at that earlier, but no dice.

Grus smiled to Leo as he stood in the doorway. He seemed to be ok, considering there were a bunch of civilian refugees camping out in his outpost. Not to mention the horde of senshi and knights running around trying to care for them.
It was a bit of surprise to see him lift the large chandelier. As long as she'd been a senshi, she still wasn't use to the fact that she could lift things she couldn't have before. She still got a small thrill from jumping off a roof and being fine.
"It's complicated." She agreed, moving over to where more rubble was located. She began picking up pieces and moving them over to the side of the wall and out of the way. "I wish I knew everything about all of this. But I'm not even close!"
She laughed for a second, and then said "So, when your not stranded in the middle of space repairing beds for an outpost full of refugees, what do you do?"

Not even they knew all the answers... But then again, who actually could say they knew all the mysteries of life ? No one, really.
It was both intriguing and fitting.
"I build robots." Yes, he said that as if it was a mundaine, normal thing. For him, it was. "Well, for school and competitions, at least. I placed third on the last one." It was just a matter of making third be first, the next time around.

"Robots!" She exclaimed, tossing a bigger piece of rubble off into a corner. "That's awesome!" She wasn't faking enthusiasm either. Anything that she couldn't do, Grus considered a great talent if someone else could. When she thought of robots, she imagined wires. Lots of wires. And gears, and above all; math. She hated math with a passion.
"I can't imagine building something like a robot." She said, looking to the ceiling and wondering how they could build a building so tall. "It seems like there would be a lot of math involved."

"There is... but math is easy." Easy to say for him, really. English on the other hand was a complete and utter pain in the a**.
"What do you like to do in your spare time ?" ....They had spare time, right ? Commmplicated.
Seriously.

"I hate math." She said simply.
"In my spare time? When I'm not running around in a funny costume saving people you mean?" She said with amusement, trying to lighten Joshua up. She was careful to answer his question. Too much information, and it wouldn't be hard for him to figure out her civilian life, if he put his mind to it.
"Well, I go to school, play volleyball and take pictures." She said, kicking a small rock. "Of those three, I gotta say photography is my favorite. I honestly probably spend too much time doing it." Her smile was pleasant while thinking about being out and about with her camera. If only she could bring her camera up here! The pictures she could take....
But Grus got the feeling Leo would not appreciate the contents of his outpost being plastered all over her room, or a magazine. She so was forced to settle with taking mental pictures.

"Ha, I can't take a photo so save my life. I guess we're even, then ?" It all sounded so... completely normal, honestly. Not what he'd expected from someone who hung up in space, had castles on some star or another.
Really, he was just confused as all hell.
"Im better at fixing cameras than actually using them." He said, amused. That... was the truth with most things, really. He was better at taking apart, fixing them, then putting them back together than he was at actually using most objects for their intended purposes.

She laughed, and then said "Well, if I'm ever in need of my camera to be repaired, I'll come to you first!"
Her inspection of the room was ending, as she was getting bored with kicking around pieces of broken rubble and wood. She came back to where Joshua was, laying on her back next to where he was working. A quick blood rush to her head made dots appear in her eyes, and when they cleared, she stared at the ceiling in awe. Even with missing pieces, it was pretty.
"SO, you build robots when your not wandering around school or space. Anything else? It's kinda strange for me to be asking you to tell me about yourself, when I can't even give you my real name." She smiled upwardly. "It almost doesn't seem fair."

"Sure thing, through... You guys can't tell who you are ?" Was it dangerous ? Did it break some kind of secret oath ? How strange. "But that's okay. I'll look out for you." He grinned.
"I play Magic. You know, the card game ?" He would be surprised if she did, honestly. Magic was very much a... nerd thing. "And hockey... Through we get our asses handed to you pretty constantly." He shrugged - not a big thing, nothing that seemed to bother him too much.
"What about you ?" He asked, tilting his head a bit to observe his handywork. Seemed about done...

Her gaze remained turned upward as she replied. Her hands went behind her head to cushion the back of her skull.
"it's like any superhero. Batman, Spiderman." she smirked at the thought of comparing what they did to those of comic book heroes. Comics were more flashy, glorified. What they did...was just gruesome sometimes.
"If we tell people who or what we are, it's bound to get into the wrong hands." She went on to say. "What if I ended up telling someone from the other side? Or what if I tell a fellow senshi, and they get captured? Then the people we love; family, friends, boyfriends. All of them would be in danger."
She smiled for real now, saying "I'm glad that I have a bodyguard! Sometimes its nice to know you've got someone looking out for ya."
As for the card game..."I've heard of Magic, though I haven't ever played it myself. Isn't kinda like pokemon cards? I collected those when I was younger." She paused, searching for something that wouldn't give up too much information. "Well, other than photography and volleyball, I like to dance. I'm learning salsa right now."

"Oh..." Well, that made sense. "You mean those monster actually are intelligent enough to know who to target... ?" That was it, right ? There were rumors everywhere, youtube clips even, of girls in miniskirts fending off monsters. That's what they did, right ?
Joshua had no idea who sent the monsters, which was more likely to be what Grus was worried about.
"I guess... I never played the pokemon card game." The games themselves, well yeah. But not the card version, and he had no idea how it worked.
"And I'd probably kill myself if I tried to dance." He said, laughing.

Grus laughed, saying "You know, I thought the same thing. And then one of my friends convinced me to go with her. Said she needed a partner. I'm no Latin marvel or anything, but it's fun."
Returning to the question before, she responded with "The monsters; we call those youma' aren't really what we are most concerned with. They are just the puppets, or almost like hounds sent to search."
She rose up, and scooted closer to Joshua. "In all honesty, I'm not sure how much of this I'm supposed to be telling you, so keep it under your hat" She looked up and said with amusement. "If you were wearing a hat that is. I'll just say then don't go blabbing this all over the place, and if another person asks, I didn't tell ya."
She settled into position, sitting on her heels with her skirt carefully laid out. A flutter of nervousness went through her, but it was pushed away by her need for companionship. All the other senshi just said the same things, made the same conclusions. Maybe a fresh idea or two wouldn't kill them.
Or maybe it would.
"They are called the Negaverse." She said in hushed tones "They are people, like us. Only their ancestors are all from earth. No other planets for them. They use the youma to steal energy, and sometimes people's lives." She finished gravely, the smile faded from her face.

"Look, if it's gonna get you in trouble..." But too late, apparently. Grus was already talking, so she might as well listen - his hammer moving to rest in his lap as he turned his complete focus on her.
...Whoa. Uh. "So they... gather energy from people ? But why ?" Everything had a reason, right ? "And... are they the ones who sent us up here ?" The word in itself rung some sort of distant bell - likely he had overhead it when the zodiacs had started showing up, before the whale attacked.
Really... this was all so odd. So... surreal.

She shook her head, and with a dramatic shrug said "I couldn't tell ya what they use the energy for. Some say it is for the youma, like they eat it or something. I've heard that their powers can only be used if they have energy, but I've never seen them use magic, so I assume that one's bogus."
"I don't think they sent you up here. It would be pretty difficult to send all of you into Space." She went on to say "We're still not sure exactly how you guys got up here, or how we're gonna get you down."
She shook her head again and smiled. "But don't worry! We're all up here, and we'll protect you guys until you can go back home!"
Grus rose, sighing deeply and stretching her arms out above her. "Speaking of helping, I think its my turn to make an Earth run to bring back supplies. Pollux was complaining that all you guys aren't gonna live off chicken soup and brownies."
She backed towards the door, grinning and waving sweetly. "Well, I'm sure I'll see ya around here again. And if I meet you in civilian form, maybe we'll be friends! You can come to the salsa lessons!"
She flipped around and walked out of the door, pulling out her senshi phone to let Virgo know she was on her way.

"Yeah..." That was a lot to think on about, really. Way too much - kind of like a mini-information overload, really... He wasn't sure how much of this he would even remember.
Then Grus excused herself, and he made sure to smile, even if inwardly, he felt rather concerned. "Maybe !"
That would involve getting back to earth first... But more pressing - maybe he should go nab some of these brownies before they all vanished...
