The smile crept up on Mitsu's face again though it wasn't nearly as broad as before. She was a little more aware that her face could be seen and it made her a little nervous. "I'm glad we helped out even if it was a little." She wasn't sure how well she had honestly helped, she was most of the problem but she had tried to fix it.

"Hel, is a good friend." Mitsu nodded. The ghoul was very friendly and outgoing and had confidence to boot. It was like nothing could stand in her way. "What kind of goals did you set for yourself?" Mitsu asked curiously. Maybe it would give her some ideas.

"She is." Mot nodded. Hel had a way of making him want to better himself. Even as a ghoul, it was like she was some kind of competition. He'd never cared to prove himself until he met her.

"Let's see, if I remember correctly, it was something like.. becoming braver, and fighting my fears." Mot smirked. "Monster Dorms is one fear I can cross from that list." It seemed petty and small, but it was a start. At least he wouldn't make a fool of himself like he had that day Jericho found him.

Shudder.

"A physical list keeps it in perspective. My problems don't seem nearly as complex on paper."

Fear of a dorm. At least Mitsu could say that was at least one thing not on the list of her many fears. Still though, the thought of writing everything down seemed...overwhelming and the more thought she put into it was really rather daunting. True she listed in her mind problems that others didn't see as problems like being small or having a cute face, but to her they were an issue.

"I..I guess I can see where a list would help." She tapped at her mask nervously. But what would be a small problem to tackle first? "I would like to be braver too." Mitsu admitted. She wanted to be able to be there for her friends. The lycan didn't want to be a burden. "I'm afraid..I'm going to hold someone back." Namely Shun. "That my weakness will cause problems."

Mot smiled warmly. Mitsu's worries were somewhat similar to his own, though hers seemed much more dire. If Mot were in a real fight, he felt he'd be no good unless he could use his weapon. Without it was like a beast without fangs or claws.

"There are a lot of us who wouldn't give a second thought if we needed to protect you from something. I can see why you'd be worried though." He scratched his cheek and thought a bit. "But I suppose that can make things feel worse for you." Mot sure didn't like it when he needed to be saved or protected. As a boil, he should be able to fight for himself.

There had to be something Mot could do for Mitsu. His character seemed to jump at the chance to save a friend. Always wanting to be the hero. "Maybe I can help? Is there something you want to improve on more than anything else? Anything specific?"

It was always nice to know Mitsu could count on people to look out for her. It didn't make her feel so alone. At the same time though she didn't want others to worry about her especially in a situation where they would probably need to look out for themselves. "I just don't want others to be in danger because of me."

Her ears perked though when Mot offered his help though she wasn't really sure how he could. It was more of an internal battle of sorts though.....her thoughts drifted to her mask and she touched it out of self consciousness. To her it wasn't such a small step though it really was. Just trying not to hide a mask was a big deal to her. It was her comfort, something she had grown attached to, though this mask was still new and strange to her.

"I...I fear what people think of me," Mitsu said softly. It was a hard thing to admit, that she didn't just want to hide she wanted to blend in. "I feel like, because of how I look, I don't make a very good monster. I'm not scary or frightening in any way." Though Lizzy had told her that wasn't a bad thing. She had a surprise element up her sleeve. "I was made fun of a lot because of my face...which is why I wear this." She tapped the mask her head dipping a bit. It was the first time she had really said it. It felt awkward but at the same time like a weight was being lifted off her chest. Mot was just easy to talk to she supposed. He was so eager to help she felt comfortable with him.

Mot furrowed his unseen brows and listened. Mitsu was opening up about something sensitive to her. It was a privilege when a friend opened up, so he took this matter seriously, and wished not to scare her from doing it again.

Mot now knew why Mitsu wore her mask, although this one was quite different than her other one. How to treat this situation? Mot smiled warmly and patted the ghoul on the head. "Not having a scary face doesn't make you any less of a monster." Mot assured her. "You may get taken lightly because of it, but that can work to your advantage. Like a hidden ace up your sleeve."

The reaper lowered his gaze and thought a moment. "I think on some level everyone is worried how others view them. I know I do. This new mask thing, I think its brave of you." Mot tapped his own hat again with a small smile. "I hate taking this off, especially if there are others who can see me. It makes me feel vulnerable." Sharing weakness might help the ghoul feel more at ease, he hoped.

It seemed Mot was on the same page as Lizzy. Maybe there was something to it. It was still hard to accept but it couldn't be coincidence that more than one person thought the same thing.

Mitsu shrank back a little when Mot mentioned her mask and that it was brave of her. Actually it wasn't. It wasn't by choice that she had this new mask it was because her old one had been taken and she couldn't function without something covering her face. Looking to his hat though, it was hard for Mitsu to imagine that Mot felt vulnerable.

"I..I just thought you wore the hat all the time because it looked good on you." It wasn't quite like a mask, but Mitsu supposed it could be. It did hide his eyes from view. The fact that he had shared some of his own insecurities made Mitsu feel a little more comfortable. More common ground realizing that Mot understood her.

Mot laughed and shook his head lightly. "Well, I do like it for its look as well." Mitsu might have noticed he had a liking of western attire. Just a little. "I've had it so long that I feel like it's become my shield. And for a long time I was okay with that." Mot nodded, smiling softly.

"Lizzy seems to think its a shame for me to hide from the world in it though. So after a few minor bumps in the road I've started trying to get more comfortable not wearing it. It's.. very hard to do. I think I've only removed it willingly for a couple people." Mot thought a moment, then seemed to remind himself of something. "At Prom you had a different mask on, right?" That was her, wasn't it? He could even see her eyes with that one, though with all the black lights everyone looked surreal.

So Lizzy was behind Mot's need to get rid of the hat too. Lizzy was all about...helping. It was helping right? Though at times it felt a little pushy perhaps.

At mention of Prom Mitsu blushed, the bits of her face visible around her mask turning bright red. "Y...yeah I h-had a different mask then." She nodded. While she had done well with it that night she had hated it. "L-Lizzy made me wear it." The demoness wanted her to go completely maskless and wouldn't budge. That was the closest compromise that Mitsu found. So easily peer pressured she was.

With a sigh Mitsu sat back. She was really starting to wonder if she was making any real progress. "I've only taken my mask off for a small number of people too." Trusting people was so hard to do but the ones that she trusted she trusted fully. But...she trusted Mot. The lycan was opening up to him after all, he was comfortable to be around. Tentatively her hand reached up toward her mask but she hesitated. "P...Promise you won't laugh?" Or think I'm silly, she thought mentally.

Mot smiled playfully; making Mitsu blush was probably easy, but being able to see it was a treat in its own right.

Yet again though, it was Lizzy behind the act. "She can be quite the busybody." Mot laughed. Not that he minded Lizzy being pushy. She was too cute to say no to; so far he did these things willingly for her.

Mot tilted his head. Mitsu looked.. as if she might make a bold move. Was she going to remove the mask for him? Mot smiled encouragingly, shaking his head. "I won't laugh. I doubt there is anything to laugh at."

Ah, perhaps Mot should take off his hat too? If Mitsu was going to be braver, then as a gentlemen he should meet her action with a similar one. As much as he didn't want to remove his hat.. it was because he didn't want to that he felt he should. That was on the list; become independent from the hat. It was a little something he added after he left Hel's room the night he made the list.

Mot lifted a hand to the brim of his own hat, almost hesitantly. "Will it make it easier if I join you? On three?"

Mitsu paused as Mot brought his hand to his hat. He would...really take his hat off for her? Considering what Mitsu had just learned that was a pretty big deal. Her unease was starting to settle and Mitsu gave a nod. "On three then."

The numbers were counted out, though there might have been hesitation in the last one. Who knew it would take so long to get to three? Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. But when the last number was called Mitsu pulled away her mask, a large pair of crimson eyes staring up at Mot a little sheepishly. She swallowed hard for a moment wondering how he would react hoping and praying he would be as accepting as he seemed.

The counting was excruciating. The longer it took to get to three, the more Mot wished he could take it back. No.. he'd done this before. It wasn't that scary! He could do this. Perhaps the buildup was just making it seem that way.

The magic number was finally said, and in a swift move Mot took off the hat and laid it beside him. A free hand tousled his hair free of hat head and possibly obscure his eyes a little bit out of comfort; he glanced down at Mitsu bashfully.

Jack Skellington, what a pretty face!

The reaper smiled wide, pushing away his own insecurity about being hatless. "See? No laughing." Mot would never laugh at a ghoul, and like he said, there was nothing to laugh at.

He was going to lie and tell her that wasn't so hard, but he knew it was. Why lie?

Mitsu could see the shyness reflected in Mot's eyes as he looked down at her. At least she wasn't the only one that was nervous. For a moment she thought he was just staring, perhaps a little put off by her face? But then he smiled. Relief hit Mitsu hard at that point and a sheepish smile of her own started to show. No, no laughing.

"You look good without the hat too," Mitsu's smile broadened a little. True the hat kinda worked with the rest of his attire but it was nice to see his full face for once. His eyes added another level of expression. "T..thank you for sharing with me." She really appreciated the gesture that he would take his hat off in return for taking her mask off. It was just another step in the right direction, yes?

Carefully Mitsu took the mask that was still in her hands and set it aside on the night stand for now. Once again she could be maskless in her own room. It was a nice feeling.

Mot smiled and laughed. He'd been told he looked good without the hat before, mainly by Lizzy; mostly because she was one of the very few people who saw him hatless. That didn't change the fact he preferred to wear it over not.

"No problem." Mot replied with a friendly grin. "We're helping each other, right?"

Mot fell into silence for a moment. Security blankets were off. What to do now? It was almost awkward.

The reaper hummed and looked over at the mask, raising a brow curiously at it. "May I see it?" He asked, pointing toward the mask.

"Y-yeah I guess we are." Mitsu nodded. It was pushing her out of her comfort zone a little but it was certainly helping or so she hoped.

When asked to see the mask Mitsu looked over toward it. Now this was a bit different. Hand over her security blanket? "S-sure." She was never one to be rude and it wasn't like Mot would break it.

Carefully she lifted the mask off the nightstand and held it out for Mot to take, her facial expression still leaning a bit toward sheepish. It would take her a bit to adjust to being without the mask around the cowboil.
