Sailor Circe could smell the deliciously baked gooey chocolate-ness before she even heard the word brownie. The red-headed senshi had decided to come the Leo outpost, as she didn’t feel exactly up to the task of tending to the wounded. And Leo was well, fabulous in its luxury. Circe hadn’t even gotten settled, or really helped anyone at all, when she heard the call of the chocolate. Sniffing her way, she came upon the same door way that Pollux had stood in.

Although Circe didn’t waste time looking down on the little feast, she glided straight in and nestled in. She dropped her large tote back on the floor, it was still packed with nonperishable food items and a few of the pill samples she had looted from her dad. Sitting down on top of her bag, Circe got comfortable.

“Well, well. What have we here? “ Circe looked at the brownies with the kind of hungry eyes most girls faced with chocolate get. “A delectable array of goodies. Don’t mind if I do.” Circe smiled and wiggled her fingers. And noticing the soda, Circe pipped up. "I've got just the thing for that." Circe fished in a outside pocket of her tote and pulled out the same little silver flask that she normally carried around in her purse. Never know when vodka might be handy.

Before she forgot herself completely, Circe introduced herself to the group of strangers. “Sailor Circe. What this about space-sharks? I thought it was a whale, that’s so … interesting.”

In the back of her mind, Circe wondered if it was possible to catch a space-shark.

"You got it boss," he responded to Pollux, tossing him a mock salute. He had come up for water originally anyways, so he saw no reason not to agree with the male.

"Yep! Part of that was my fault though, I kept trying to rescue a friend." He tossed a grin at the newcomer, and then continued. "I know, right. It would have been less like a rainbow version of Pinoccio and more like JAWS in SPACE! I bet it would have had the sound effects too. It would have been all quiet and then: Dun....Dun Dun....Dun Dun Dun......Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun DUN..... CHOMP!"

He took a bite out of his brownie and then grinned sheepishly. "Sorry, I'm off my meds." He had forgotten just how hyper he got without them, and he hoped that the pot would kick in soon. At least that would mellow him out for a while.

Mal had been there the entire time.

She had spent just as long at the Virgo Outpost as was necessary to get her leg functioning, and not a single moment more. It still felt a little too stiff to walk on, and the cuts along her hands and arms had merely scabbed over rather than healed completely, but she couldn't stand being around the other injured civilians. Despite how much time it afforded her to lay around and tweet, it was too much of a reminder that, despite the senshis' admittedly charitable hospitality, there was still a giant space whale out there wanting to Jonah the ******** out of all them. Only it wouldn't be testing their faith so much as it would be digesting them in its massive belly.

If she wasn't going to be of any help there, she had been directed to one of the other outposts. Aquarius sounded like the only place where people were making an active effort to get everyone out of the Surrounding, and was thus the most appealing option. She had been on her way there, when it happened. Her "gift." The slight tingling in her fingertips, the intangible shift in the air.

Somebody had weed.

Mal didn't know how she had acquired her sixth sense, but at every social function she had ever attended, she had the uncanny ability to identify the people she could score weed off of. Of course, sometimes this wasn't that difficult, as neck beards were and/or dread locks on white people were usually a pretty indication that someone was holding. But for her to sniff someone out on space? Well, even she was a little impressed with herself.

She had been there when Sailor Aster had brought out the brownies. She had been there when Natalia stormed off in some sort of indignant rage. She had been there as Regulus and Pollux had shown how susceptible senshis were to bouts of extreme passive aggressiveness. And by the time she finally spoke up, she had already polished off one and a half brownies.

"Oh! I get it. Frost," she said, unfortunately, before swallowing the second half . A faint voice in the back of her head reminded of her things like manners and human decency, and she gulped down the mouthful of chocolaty goodness before adding, "Because you're so icy. Man, these are good." She looked to Aster. "I mean, I've had better ones in Amsterdam, but you aliens know your s**t almost as well as the Dutch do. Props."

"...Fantastic." Regulus muttered, looking a bit... unsure about the general, even gleeful consumption of Pot loaded brownies. The idea of getting lost and injured people stoned for fun and profit didn't make him especially comfortable, and he poured a glass of soda with a sigh, and picked up a small pack of jerky and a candy bar from the box of Charleston Chews.

"You guys enjoy the munchies. I'm going to go check on that other girl."

The whole 'This crap is illegal' probably didn't apply in space, but that didn't mean he couldn't disagree with people claiming it was harmless. Standing here watching people going out of their head on silly-weed and getting bitched out for having the Soda and jerky that everyone was probably going to be into once the pot kicked in seemed unproductive. At least he could try and keep someone from... who knew. Punching walls.

"Have fun!"

He added, a bit forced, but he was trying, as he edged his way out with the treats for the other young woman. ********. Pot in Space. Maybe if the outposts got attacked they could all share a puff of whacky-weed, or... whatever the hell the appropriate slang was. THAT would sure stop an rampaging youma....

"Relax, man," she advised Pollux. "Look, man. If you or anyone else doesn't want to eat any of the brownies then, ******** man, that's your choice. The people who are eating them are happy, and I bet it sure as ******** gets their mind off the fact their stuck in mother ******** space, so if it does that successfully than is it so wrong? Who knows how long they're going to be here for, don't make it sound like I'm a bad ******** Senshi just cause I know how to unwind. Maybe you should have a brownie, take a load off."

Aster's eye then was caught by the silvery shimmer of a flask in Circe's hands. "How much of that do you have?"

"Ugh, jealous," Aster then groaned to Mal as she chewed the last of her own second pot brownie. "I've never been to Amsterdam, but I'm dying to go if I can ever figure out a way to get there that I can afford to take without killing the environment with the back and forth flights. Honestly other than traveling to space, I've never really left the state. And thanks, glad you like them!"

The grin on her face was stupid as ever as she considered a third brownie.

Pollux stood there, blinked twice and replied to Mel with as straight a face as he could muster. "The cosmos has a twisted sense of humor when granting us powers and outfits. While you will likely never see it, and I doubt many senshi will openly admit it, we all 'power up'", he used finger quotes for emphasis even, "in a moment of awkward magical nudity surrounded by space glitter and sparkles. And yes." He sighed. "before you ask it does feel quite emasculating. Point being I am a cold a*****e and cosmos saw fit to reflect that." It was a rather simple fact to Pollux. One he found no reason to deny. "And the cosmos's humor to granting us our gifts is twisted as all s**t."

The other senshi's departure didn't bother him, nor, did the other's arrival. "Pollux." Just a tilt of his head in greeting at the one with peacock markings. What did have him concerned however- "Medication?" His brows furrowed in concern. "Do you have a medical condition we need to take care of? Is there something you'll need?" It was a genuine concern. It did get placed on pause at the senshi providing the brownies spoke up.

"...I am afraid I can't relax yet. There is still much to be done and taken care of in terms of making sure all the civilains are safe, healing, and not to mention a plethora of other details." He probably would need one by the time the day was over. "However, I have my cigarettes, so those should help me when I do have time to spare. But-" He eyed them again. "I am not entirely adverse to them."

"If I find anyone smoking in the Surrounding," a terse voice announced from behind Pollux as the Spring Handmaiden stepped into the kitchen of Leo Outpost to make sure everything was alright. "I will kill you. I don't care if you're Civilian or Senshi. I trust that the Zodiacs wouldn't want smoke to sully their Outposts. Maybe Gemini, but that really is another matter." Maybe she should start checking if any Senshi decided to bring cigarettes up here just in case. Flora eyed Pollux with a raised eyebrow, managing to give him only a thin smile of acknowledgement. The situation right now was really weighing down on her nerves and she had to arrive to hear about smoking? The Princess would most definitely not be pleased.

Flora took a deep breath to calm herself down, trying to make her tone sound less serious. "Okay, not really kill kill; the Chaos monsters are the ones that will do that if you ever are stupid enough to wander out beyond the Outposts even after seeing what that Space Whale did. But you know what I mean, in general. No. Smoking."

...Luckily for them, Flora had no idea what was in the brownies.

Pollux felt like a child caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. Flora would always make him watch himself. Self shame was really the best controlling device. "If it displease you that much, I'll refrain from it. And while I doubt you'd kill me if you caught me..I am very much aware of-" He coughed. "Your knowledge on sensitive information. No, I'll abstain from personal vices while I'm here Flora."

The senshi of frost did look at her, then look to the brownies however. "You should probably have a brownie though. They'll help calm you down." Pollux liked Flora. He respected her. However did this mean she was 100% free from him wanting to watch her get high just for kicks?

Not really. He was the senshi of frost- an icy cold a*****e after all.

"Thank you." Flora said with a wry smile. "Especially not when you're in Chronos Outpost, if you please." Her Princess had enough to worry about than having to investigate the source of a curious rotting odor. Still, she trusted that Pollux would keep his word, especially when he was fully aware of that she had blackmail material about him on her hands. And judging by the situation, she certainly wouldn't hesitate to let it slip if any shenanigans happened in the Outposts.

Besides, they could party at Gemini Outpost all they wanted. She doubted that Andeon and Mackie would mind; they would encourage it even.

"Food supplies here are for the civilians." She said, wearily making her way over to a chair and nodding at Aster. "I've eaten before coming here." And downed two cans of Red Bull. It didn't seem to help much, although she supposed that it did, at least, keep her from falling asleep while she had a job to do. "Have you eaten?" Note to self: Add rule saying that Senshi should eat before coming here and not consume the supplies. A snack every now and then was alright, but really, their priorities were the civilians stuck here, after all.

"Wow, man. That's, like..."

Lame? Really? Was that all she could come up with? She was in the presence of aliens. They had beheld the universe in all of its terrifying glory. They had seen things, man. Things like space whales. Probably even more terrifying than space whales. Like space... pterodactyls. Or space raptors. An assortment of space dinosaurs that they've been protecting the human race from for milenia. Surely she could come up with something better than "lame" to describe... what had the guy said? Magical nudity and sparkles? What the hell? That didn't sound lame. That sounded amazing!

Amazing? Really? Was that all she could come up with? She was in the presence of...

Mal realized she had been silently staring at Pollux for a full minute. "Uh, lost my train of thought." She squinted her eyes and began to slowly turn her head, as if following something invisible floating through the air. "Aaaaaaand it's gone. Wait, what was that about smoking?" She snapped her head to Flora, eyes widening. "I ******** knew it. I tried to light my cigarette before that whale went all Tyra Banks on us, but then I realized there's no oxygen in space, and if I tried to use my lighter and it worked it would create some sort of temporal paradox where I was my own mother and I like myself too much to have to resent myself for being my own parent."

Somehow, Mal's gaze had returned to Pollux, who she was staring at with an uncomfortable level of intensity.

"But, yeah, I guess what I'm trying to say is Amsterdam was just alright. You're not missing anything," she said to Aster, without looking at her.

SOMETHING APPROACHES!!!

From the blackness of space, it is difficult to tell what is out there. Perhaps the senshi feel it, if only slightly in the way the hair on their arms begins to rise. There is a strange feeling in the pit of everyone's stomach... but they can't see anything.

Weird.

The only thing Mal felt was awe over her own hand, which she had thankfully turned away from Pollux to stare at.

"You ever think about, like, just how many cells are in, like, just an inch of your skin? Billions. Like, more than there are people on Earth. It's like a whole planet of cells in just this little... like, this patch, right here, see?" She looked up.

"What? Is this too much for you guys? I am laying down some real s**t right here. We are having a real goddamn dialogue, right here."

So they couldn't smoke here even if they wanted to? That made Flora feel much better. So instead of saying that this was magic space, and maybe it might work if they tried, Flora wisely kept her mouth shut. Then they would have no ideas about smoking in the Surrounding and everything would be fine and dandy.

Except not really. A strange feeling started to settle in her stomach and she swallowed down a lump in her throat. "There's something wrong." The Spring Senshi whispered, crossing her arms over her chest, eyes darting about. Maybe she was just paranoid? Maybe the sugar from the Red Bull she had drank a few hours ago was finally setting in?

Pollux looked at Mal, raised an eyebrow and casually suggested what figured would be the best option for her. "Drink some water." He figured he would try to humor her at least. "Cells? Try atoms. There are millions of billions and trillions of atoms in water alone, just think about how many atoms are in one drop of water. Then think about the whole glass. Then, your whole body."

As he looked up, done humoring the high girl, something wormed it's way into his senses. It wasn't something he'd felt before but it certainly didn't feel right. It was like watching someone watch into a trap in a movie. That gut feeling, where goosebumps rose on your skin and the sound of your own heart got louder. "You feel it too then?" Flora's word had him on edge. This was her playing field. Not to mention she was the super.

"I don't feel anything," Aster shrugged. The effects of the pot brownies were starting to tingle in, and any feeling of pending danger that she could have noticed was far too subtle in this state of mind. However, she wasn't about to dismiss their claims as falsities. "Why? Do you guys sense a power signature or something?"
