Nahasi ignored him. He didn't fully understand what was going on anymore. This was Jem though and that was all that mattered. "Jem, I don't care what you did. Your past sins can be left in the past. This is your chance to start a new. You can stay here with me and redeem yourself. And even if you do something terrible, even if you are a murder-" He paused and thought about what he should say next. Killing another feline or canine was a serious offense in Nahasi's book. He wanted to keep Mazu safe. But this was different and he knew it. “I don't want to know who you killed, but I know that it must have been an accident.”
He stepped closer, hoping to show his understanding. “You aren't a killer, you never were and you will never be. I will keep you safe in Mazu and you can call it home again. I promise no one will find out about your deed. It's important to me that you stay here and I think that it will help you as well.”
He got out of Jem's way so he would be able to leave. “The choice is yours Jem. You can run away or stay here. I won't stop you either way. I just hope you will stay for at least a couple more days.” He grinned innocently, like he once did when he was younger. “It won't be like old time but it might end up better.”

Nahasi would be met with confusion in Jem's eyes. Looking up at him as he spoke but seemed unsure of it all. To become apart of them again.. His sins though, but Nahasi had the power to wipe them. No one would know.. But them. That was what mattered the most. He didn't know if he could take being left to his own devices and playing pretend now that the truth surfaced. "I don't know.. I just don't know ok! I wish I would have been dead.." Rejecting the help some but one could tell that he was pondering it.. Like one knew. The offense of killing another brother was big, not something that could be overlooked. But Hasi was doing it..
He didn't even condemn him. Merely offered kind words, and safety.. he slowly looked back to him once more with adoration, care and maybe even hope.. With that grin of his.. How he missed it and adopted his own. The offer was processing in his head. When he was given the pass to go.. he turned to the opening but still heard Hasi out.. and somehow that was giving him strength.. Lifting his body to slowly move towards the lion's side.. Then pushed his head in to the lion's stomach. Taking in his scent..
"...Redemption sounds too forgiving.. " Ears panned back and gave a sigh. "Thank you for this chance.. but I- I owe you dinner my King..forgive me- but please excuse me.." Obviously upsetted and in deep thought as he tossed his head away and once a few slow steps away- almost broke out in to a full run.. and back in to those arms that assured him that coming here to face the past was one thing. But forever he will be tormented about the death of his father... and where his mother went after- if they damned her for his death..
Gathering up all his fake shell once again and placing the pieces back- trying to do it before meeting up with Luaith.. But even he knew he couldn't hide it from the lion... nor from Nahasi.
