Engage To Heal is just one of many Kiokote driven from their home by the flood and obviously quite damaged by the experience, among countless more unspoken traumas he's known. And that's just the thing with Fool (as affectionately nicknamed by a certain Acha): he is a very guarded and uncommunicative kin. On a good day, he might be able to growl out just enough to let others know he's not interested in socializing, and on a bad day, when the hallucinations and memories are in full force, Fool is as skittish as a feral Eaglehound and just as liable to bite.
Fighting back if it means protecting himself is not something Fool is above doing. He is driven by a primal instinct to survive without ties to other kin, having been hurt too many times in the past by becoming involved with others -- and yet, he always seems to find himself getting mixed up in others' stories anyway, that very same defense mechanism leading him to snap up opportunities he finds advantageous. While Fool may be difficult to understand, he is a resourceful and unstoppable ally once won over.
Just, don't expect him to share his name right off, if ever at all. He seems to resent what the MotherFather gave him.
