He smiled at her when she showed some optimism, and he nodded when she declared her intention to go and talk to Unyezi about everything. A visit from a granddaughter couldn't do him much harm, it should do him some good.
"Alright," he said, "I'm on my way to find your mother now. Come tell us how it goes when you have time."

She perked up when he spoke of visiting her mother and she beamed. "Okay Father! I will come talk to you after! I love you!" She said, before bounding off in a rather playful way, obviously trying to keep optimistic.
