"well, they shouldn't have been pretended to be dead," he pointed out reasonably, poking at the side of the basket with the tip of one dark claw. "Could be you have, but I think they brought it on themselves. Not to mention that whole weirdness with the trying to impale themselves. Maybe they're just mad that you managed to jar them out of their playing dead." Of course they still had no idea why they had been playing dead in the first place. Except maybe hoping the ghoul would up end the jar over a trash bin? Who knows.

The timid trio of bunnies were watching the ink dosed leader with wide little eyes, the bravest of the three doing it's best not to cower as it hopped forward to give it a nudge. A spot of ink now staining it's side. It blinked and looked down at the dark spot before returning it's gaze to the other bunny, gray ears perking. It gave a questioning squeak that was chorused by the other two behind it.

"I suppose not, but still. It seems quite a drastic personality change," she said quietly as she pulled a bit of paper closer toward herself that she had brought and also picked up an ink pen. She doodled for a moment before she began to write some notes down on it, mostly for her own usage.

- Creatures highly become disturbed if inked.
- Personality change after playing dead?
- One escape attempt, partner stopped it.

Lattice leaned to observe the bunnies a moment more. "It almost seems like they are communicating," she added a new note.

- May be highly intelligent for puffs of fluff.

The leader puffed up proudly and nodded waiting for the others to 'mark' themselves as well. The Dark Dust Lord began to squeak out an inspirational speech about rising above their captors in a bid for freedom as well as good noms to eat.

"Mmhmm," the ghost boil agreed. Shifting a bit Seiji pulled the small notebook from his back pocket and flipped it to an empty page. Setting it on the table before him with his pen poised beside it. Jotting down notes periodically as they watched the six little balls of dust interacting.

- Don't like being inked
- Melodramatic
- One escape attempt, thwarted.
- Seem to be communicating

Seiji had leaned forward as Lattice had, brows lifting curiously as he glanced between the two sets of bunnies.

The bunny with his new ink stain squeaked out proudly and seemed to puff a bit, no longer cowering. It bounced back and gave one of the others a gentle nudge forward, and it very cautiously approached the leader. Leaning forward so it could press the tips of it's ears against the damp side of the darker bunny. The third puff didn't need any such prodding after that, and it eagerly bounced forward and straight into the leader bunny, it's entire face now a dark mask of ink.

- Oddly tribal mindset occurs...Whe-*Sudden ink splotch.*

Lattice glowered down at her ink pen her attention diverted away from the bunnies. Bad ink. Bad. She quietly took a moment to wipe at the splotch of ink causing it to smear. She uttered a soft sigh as she gave up on her attempt to clear up her notes. It will have to do. The Engraver leaned to observe the small bunny-eared poofs once more.

With the final bunny having gotten its 'mark' of honor the Dark Dust Lord was ready. It was now time to start the rebellion. The other two followers squeaked their agreement as their fearless leader peered back at them. Looking at the other three DDL squeaked a single squeak of command and soon he and his first two followers made a leap up toward the faces peering over them.

Rebellion starts now!

A flick of dark eyes noted the misbehaving pen, but he'd return his attention back to the bunnies before the engraver was finished trying to tidy up her notes. One of the solidly black bunnies seemed to have set itself up as leader, and puffing proudly if gave a loud squeak. "Hey what do you suppose-" The rest of his question was cut off as three of the stained beasts made a leap for his face, causing the boil to jerk back with a startled grunt. Clawed hand swatting at the little bodies. Two he knocked back into the basket, the third was successful in it's attack and was now dangling from the tip of his nose by sharp little teeth. "Jacking-!" He cursed, making a grab for the small body.

The other three had meanwhile made a pounce for the other ghost just as she'd leaned in once again to watch them. Shrieking out a high pitched little battle cry. One bounced harmlessly off the mask shielding the ghoul's eyes, but the other two had managed to land on a shoulder and within the curtain of dark hair.

Chaos was probably the polite term for what was currently happening.

The Engraver flinched as one hit her mask and the other ones then disappeared into her hair after landing on her shoulders. Her lips went into a thin displeased line. Oh that was it. She was done. She wasn't sure what she was going to do but she knew one thing for sure she grabbed the ink smeared jar and moved to it over the one that had pinged off of her mask though the ones wiggling about in her hair were going to be an issue.

The two crouched in the basket gearing up for another attack. Lattice paused and stared at them, "No. Bad."

Now the Bunnies paused and stared back up at her. DDL valiantly clung to Seiji's nose until it was grabbed.

The boil winced as he jerked DDL from the tip of his nose, a dark spot of black blood welling up in the teeth marks left behind. Jack damned ballsy little... Noting the Jar Lattice had nudged one of the rebelling buns into, he reached across the table to drop the one in his hand into it, scowling. Eyes narrowing in on the two still in the basket. "I think that's enough research," he grumbled towards them. Scooping the both of them up in his darker hand he offered them out towards Lattice.

"Here, let's get these two under control. I can help you get control of the other two if you want."

Carefully she'd moved the jar so that the opening was upright so that Seiji could put the bunnies in she tried not to giggle at Seiji's pain and managed not to. After all was said and done it was kind of funny! In a way. "Are you alright, Seiji?" Lattice asked showing a bit of concern at least.

Lattice nodded a bit, "We can separate them out later if we must," she replied simply. There was a small pause at his offer before she nodded again, "If you could please help I would appreciate it."

She wasn't going to argue that the research was done or not because honestly she agreed, "Yes, this research was highly tiring."

"I'll be fine," he answered almost automatically, pressing the bend of his finger against the tip of his nose. "It'll heal." It hadn't hurt terribly bad, more startling then anything really, but Jack damn! Bold little s**t. He pointedly ignored any and all humor picked up from the ghoul across from him.

Getting to his feet, he wandered around the table so he could get to the ghoul's hair, plucking up a section so he could begin looking through it. It was odd to him to be touching hair that didn't move, having grown so used to Junko and her curtain of restless locks. "Sure, they can't have gone far." He was searching the waist length darkness for any sign of movement from the two hitch hikers.

"Who would have thought a bunch of tiny dust bunnies would be so much trouble. How do humans deal with these things?" A bit of hair twitch near the ghoul's other shoulder and he made a grab at it, pulling free a pair of struggling bunnies. 'Got'em!"

She nodded, "Good. I hope they do not have anything deadly in their saliva," she murmured thoughtfully. When he came close to sift through her hair she stayed nice and still so that he could do so without issue once he got a hold of them she let out a deep sigh of relief, "Thank you very much for getting them out. I wasn't sure if I was going to manage it on my own," Lattice replied honestly as she held up the jar for him to place the bunnies in.

"They are very troublesome. The Humans must have special things for dealing with them otherwise they'd certainly be overrun by now," Lattice replied thoughtfully.

Broad shoulders shrugged. "Even if they did I don't think it would matter. I'm already a ghost, and one that specializes in consuming things that would be otherwise harmful to most people." He hadn't found something yet that'd managed to make him sick.

Dropping the bunnies into the jar, he picked the lid up off the table and offered it to her, then set about straightening up the vials of ink and other things they'd been using, tucking it all neatly into her basket. "They must," he agreed thoughtfully. Happy they didn't have them prevalent in Halloween.

Their homework assignment finished, there really was only one thing left to do. Despite his punkish appearance, Seiji was actually a very sweet person, and he offered a hand down to Lattice to help her up. "I can walk you back to your room if you like, or to the human studies classroom so we can turn in our homework. Whichever."

"That is true," Lattice replied with a small chuckle, "still you can't be the only one any of them took a bite out of." She let it fall away with a small shrug and once the bunnies were in the jar and the lid was offered to her she put the lid on caging the little beasts for the moment. She gently put the jar in her basket.

She let Seiji put things in her basket though usually it was her nature to not allow people to touch her things. Perhaps it showed how much she trusted the people around her for the moment.

Lattice accepted his help up and she turned to gather her basket, "If you'd like you may walk with me to the classroom and then you can help me get back to my room, I get a little lost still..." She hated admitting to getting lost but there was honestly no help for it right now.

"Oh, ya true. Hopefully they aren't poisonous." Hmm, he'd have to shoot Junko a text to make sure she hadn't been bitten. But later.

Tucking the ghoul's hand at his elbow he smiled down at her. "Sure, sounds fine to me. Shall we go then?" It felt great having gotten that assignment done and over with.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 18, 2011 11:55 am

Lattice let him do so and she nodded lightly, "Yes let's go. The quicker we get this taken care of the better," she replied. Hopefully they wouldn't be forced to keep the little beasts with them. She wasn't sure what she'd do with them.

With that she simply meandered with Seiji to turn in their homework.
