"Oh I see...." Alec said. He was silent for a second and then suddenly broke out in laughter. He looked back at Mickey when he finally got control of his laughing. She didn't seem to think it was very funny. "I'm sorry, really. I've just never heard a nickname like that before." He raised an eyebrow as he moved his face closer to hers. "You don't look like a rat to me...."

Mickey watched Alec laughing, figuring it was at her or something similar. She didn't mind, though. She'd learned to ignore jerks. But, his comment made her tilt her head a bit, making some hair fall into her face. "No, I'm called that due to my love of them. Domestic ones, of course."

Alec stood up straight again away from her face. "Really? I always thought girls hated rats" he wondered. The bus had just turned the corner and was nearing the bus stop now. "You don't sound very proud of that miss Mickey." He said casually as he throw his apple core into the trash can.

"Yeah you know how girls are..." He smiled and leaned against the bus stop sign. "Do your babies bite?" He never would of guessed that a girl like her would like something like rats but it really just interested him more then anything else.
