"That ain't to far from here, we're heading to the base on the other side of Mtn. Haji. We can drop ya'll off." The other gear said before walking around to the driver's side of the armored car, he got In and started It up. The engine roared to life and died down to a bellowing rumble.
Matthew looked back at Nickolas and smiled, he turned on his hill and faced him. "You'll be fine Nick, don't worry about a thing. We'll get Into a lot of fights, but If It get's to hot we'll be there to back eachother up alright?" He said as he smiled behind his helmet.

Nickolas nodded. When he heard the engine roar to life, he hurried back to Kirin and the other gears. Kirin lightly hit Nick in the arm before climbing into the vec.

Matthew, Tanner and the other gear got In the vec as well. Once Nickolas was In, Matt closed the door. The driver COG spun the car around and drove off towards Mtn. Haji.
"So, what were you guys doing In a Safe zone like that? It wasn't guarded very well." The COG beside TK asked.
"Defence, repairing, training, stranded camp. The list keeps going. It was mostly a check point post." Matthew replied.

"Well unfortunately it's a dead zone right now. Everyone was evacuated and we might not come back due to the extensive damage," Kirin sighed. Nickolas for once remained rather quiet, staring off into space. Mostly he was thinking about his fellow trainees, a bit worried about those that were injured yet he still felt nervous about being part of Alpha.

"I see." The COG said.
"I don't care If we go back or not, It was boring over there. I'm just happy our parents got out. If something happened to them... I'm not sure what me and Nick would do." Matthew said as he adjusted his Lancer.
The gear beside Tanner glanced at Nickolas. "You two are brothers?" He asked.

Nickolas nodded at the gear. "Yep. He's just older than I am, so he went into training and whatnot way before I did."
"Yeah. Nick is actually the only trainee that Hoffmen assigned to the Alpha Squad. He'll be getting extra training-hands on experience while on our mission," Kirin added with a small grin.

"Cool. You don't see many siblings In the C.O.G. together, some families aren't that close anymore."
"Yeah, I know what you mean." Matthew said with a faint smile behind his helmet, he decided to take It off until they got to Mtn, Haji. He ran a head through his brown hair and wiped some sweat off his face. "He learns fast though. I'm not to worried about protecting him, I know he'll do just fine." He said with a smile.
Tanner smiled as well before looking at Nick. "Getting a hands on experience with the locust Is going to be hard, their not like the training dummies, these guys will shoot to kill."

Nickolas copied his brother and took his helmet off, shaking his head clear while showing off the odd green highlights in his hair. Then he nodded to Tanner with a grin. "I know. I'll be fine. Just wait and I'll show you that I can be just as good as any other gear out there."
"Don't aim to be just as good. Aim to be the best," Kirin pointed out, smirking a bit. "You don't aim to be just like other gears, but to be the best. Some friendly competition is actually good~"

The car came to a stop. "Hey ya'll, this Is as far as I can go. We're taken a drifferent rout to the base. It's 'bout 5 miles to Mtn. Haji, that won't be to much trouble for ya'll will It?" The driver asked.
"No sir, this Is good." Matthew said before opening the side door, he got out with his helmet under one arm and his lancer In his free hand.
Tanner followed Matt, he glanced around. The area was snowy and full of trees. "I hope you guys don't mind the cold." He said.

Nickolas put his helmet back on before getting out of the vec', stopping by Matthew's side. Kirin was the last to get out and nodded slightly to the other gears. "Thanks for the lift." With that, she shut the side door and walked over to Tanner, looking around at the snow and trees. Actually, the cold felt very nice to her. "Guess there's more than one reason I'm Ice Queen," she joked.

Matthew put his helmet on as well, with out another word he walked off towards Mtn. Haji.
Tanner shook his head at Kirin's joke and followed Matthew. "Five miles to the mountain eh? That's one hack of a walk, but we've had worse."
"TK can you cut the chat please?" Matt said before sighing.

Kirin rolled her eyes at Tanner and sighed softly. Nickolas followed after Tanner with Kirin in the back. As soon as she took the first step towards Mtn. Haji, she immediately got serious. Nickolas was similar, but he was also curious about the area. He was mostly stuck in camp nine times out of ten for training.

Once the group had walked four miles, the Intrance to Mtn. Haji came Into view. But there was only one problem. It was guarded by a few locust foot shoulders and two Boomers standing on either side of the gate way.
Matthew held up his arm and balled his fist up as he dropped to one knee, that was the signal to stop.
Tanner stopped a bit behind him and dropped to one knee as well. "I knew getting In there wasn't going to be easy." He grumbled quitely.

Kirin and Nickolas stopped just behind Tanner, both of them dropping to one knee. "I could try taking out a few with my sniper before they realize where the shots are coming from," Kirin suggested.

Matthew thought for a moment, Kirin was a better sniper then he was. He glanced back at her and nodded before turning to the locust again. "Can you take out the ones on the turrents first? With them out, we can rush In."
Tanner checked his weapons before pulling his shot gun off his back, he loved using It against Boomer's, once shot to the face usually killed them.
