"You can trade them. Like those card games you like." He smiled. "I saw a couple of them that were interesting on the lady's lanyard and asked about it. You can get them at any of the little stations and they come in random packs so you can get lots to trade. Then anyone who works at the park who's got a lanyard of them has to trade with you if they've got something you like."
He shifted the pile around so he could pull out the couple of piratey themed ones he'd gotten. "I thought you'd like these ones..."

"Thanks, Luc." He was smiling as he spoke; an honest to goodness smile of sincere thanks as he took the pins that the other had held out to him, pulling the back off of one so that he could clip it up onto his visor.
"How's that?" His brow quirked. "And I'll have to keep my eyes out for that stuff now that I know about it. Seems like it could make things very interesting."

"It's a good decoration." He nodded. "They make these backs too that you can put on so they wont fall off anything. Incase the regular backs get loose or something i guess."
He was pretty sure Cordy would make fun of him if she caught him buying the pins but they were interesting. "I thought Dem might like them too. Something he could spaz about that didn't glow."

"Sounds like a rather useful investment if you're going to get all into these things." He nodded slowly, fingers lightly brushing through his hair before fluffing it around the edges of his visor. "I'm sure he would like them; it'd give him something to focus on and a reason to go right up and harass people." He smirked. "as long as they don't have any that light up..."

"I haven't seen any that light up. They do have a lot with rainbows and glitter though." Which also seemed to be things Dem liked so it would keep him entertained somehow.
"I have a feeling Cordy will just tease me about it though ... unless we can somehow get her to like it too." Which given her mood lately would be a chore

His brow furrowed slightly at the mention of Cordelia as he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest for the moment while thinking before finally glancing over at Lucien again. "How's she holding up... With everything and all? I remember meeting those friends of hers at Christmas; they all seemed... Close."
He couldn't imagine losing friends like that; had no idea how Cordelia was making it through her days, even angrily... Yet from what Dem had said, Cordelia had insisted on coming along for this trip; on getting away from Destiny City. "I'm sure spending all of this time by herself isn't all that good for her."

"I don't really know how she's doing. I invited her over a few times but she's not taken the offer yet." He sighed softly and shook his head. "I don't know what to say to her .... and i'm the one that should."
Only when he'd lost his parents he hadn't wanted anyone to say anything to him. He'd just wanted to be left alone to deal with things in his own time. "I wanted to be alone when my parents died but i've always been a loner. She's not."
He didn't know if he could actually tell her to stop spending so much time alone though, if she'd even listen. She seemed to want to be alone.

"I... Don't really know that there's anything you can say to her, other than pounding on her door and insisting she get out more. I mean... That's kind of what Lysander's been doing to me lately." His brow furrowed slightly as he glanced down at his hands for a moment before turning his head to look back out the window.
"It's not good to spend all that time alone, especially not for a girl like Cordy. Miss Social Butterfly and all... If she doesn't leave her room for something other than the pool after today I think we should stage an intervention."

"Lysander?" He wasn't sure if that was a name he was suppose to have remembered and he would probably feel like a heel if it was. "Being alone for a bit helps though. It lets you sort yourself out before everyone else goes and tries to sort you out for yourself. I do think making her get out after today would be good though. If she stays alone thinking the whole time she wont actually have any fun and that's what vacations are for."
As the bus pulled up at the park he shifted his bag again and stood up. "So ... safari is in the back right?"

"The Azure Valley guy I've been hanging out with here and there..." He waved his hand almost dismissively for the moment, not wanting Lucien to feel bad for not remembering. "I don't think I've ever mentioned him by name, really." He'd just brought him up once or twice when Lucien had asked him what he'd been up to or if he'd had any plans.
He jumped on the distraction the mention of the safari promised easily, standing up as the bus slowed so that they could make a beeline for the doors and, from there, the gate. "Yup. Well. About midway towards the back, I'd say. It's not as far back as Everest, but it's along the way. We're here early enough that I think we should be able to make it." Bless the Extra Magic Hours. "Got your pass ready?"

"Oh, yea." He did remember the mention of someone from the genious-school and it was good that he hadn't forgotten a name he should have remembered. "Did you tell him you were going on vacation? Or just facebooking him or something while you're here?" That's what friends did right? He tried to keep up with it but kept forgetting to check things like that.
"Yea i tucked it in my bag." He dug around in one of the small pockets and pulled his card out. "The getting into the park early thing should coem in handy if the safari ride is popular."

"I dropped him a line before heading to the airport..." Which likely made him a horrible friend, and an even worse whatever else it was Lysander might have considered him... But he was more than certain, at least on some level, that Lysander would have no trouble at all finding something (or someone) else to keep him entertained; that just seemed to be the way the other boy worked.
"He's got my number too, though, so it's not like he can't text me if he gets bored." An idle shrug and they were moving again, heading for the turnstiles so they could get into the park. "Alright... Ready to navigate?"

"At least it's not like he can't text you." He grinned as he nudged hsi way into the park and looked up at the signs. "So ... heading toward everest and we should get there eventually. Which way is shorter?"
The parks were usually round somehow so he figured there'd be a shorter way if the safari wasn't exactaly in the back like the roller coaster.

"Hm." He glanced at the map quickly once before tilting his head back up, picturing the route in his head before heading in what he believed would be the shorter route. "This way, if you follow me and don't stop to take pictures along the way. Whatever we miss we can come back for, promise." He was grinning as he looked at Luc for a brief moment before picking up his pace, cutting in front of a slow-moving group of early morning strollers pushed by proud parents.
"If we just keep to the right..."

He frowned at the idea of not getting to stop to take pictures but knew if they wanted to get on the safari that was probably for the best. If he stopped for everything he wanted on the way they'd be there all day and never get on the ride and he iddn't want to miss all the animals because they were asleep in the heat.
"Promise we'll come back for everything?" He really wanted pictures of all of the parks and even though they'd surely come back here some time with the others it would be easier to get the pictures now.
