Moving In
Mystique let out a soft sigh of relief as she set the last box of her belongings down in the middle of her dorm room. Looking around the room she noted that while it looked to be set up for two there was no sign of any roommate. “Guess I have it to myself for now,” she mused to herself.
Stepping back she regarded the place that would be her home for at least the next year. Plain colorless walls stared back at her. She made a note to herself to ask the person in charge of the dorms if students where allowed to paint the walls of their rooms. If not she would just pick up some posters or something along those lines for her half of the room.
Going back to her boxes she found the one marked bedding and opened it up. Removing the mix of blue and white leopard print comforter from the top of the pile she spread it over the bed to make sure her bedding would fit on the dorm bed. Satisfied with the fit she pulled the comforter off and placed it aside while she got the bed skirt and sheets. After making the bed she tossed her two pillows on it and nodded in satisfaction. The walls may still be plain but at least there was now some color in the room.
Glancing at the rest of her boxes she decided she’d finish unpacking later. She wanted to explore the campus before it got too late out. Classes would be starting soon and she wanted to know her way around before then.
