Hel blinked as she was suddenly gifted with a hat, and chuckled with amusement. She felt incredibly happy to be addressed so kindly by Riley, and was even further delighted to see the demoness immediately place the bracelet she made her onto her wrist. “Ah, thank you kindly…” Hel replied, a now free hand reaching to rub the back of her neck. “Oh…you’re very deserving! I was very impressed when I came for the Festival, and I really hope you’ll win the elections!” The reaper trailed off for a moment, now fixing the hat upon her head. “Miss Riley, when are the elections again…?” The valkyrie trailed off, staring at the desk surface now as a shadow cast upon it from something behind her.
The reaper whirled around with a fist raised and ready to go, and then startled, taken a back to be greeted by a rather large and worn look cthulu head. One glance over though, and she was immediately put back to ease. She knew those clothes! “Charlie!” Hel called out her fist unclenching to reach out and pat the masked demon on the head with a laugh. “You startled me, friend!”

!Would have been floating over the demons head if it could the moment Hel called out his actual name. HOW DID SHE KNOW! Charlie thought the'd been quite careful in his costume design. Still, maybe Hel was just THAT jack magical. Maybe. " Mrwwphhhwehhhhhhhhhhh" Charlies protests at being called his real name came out muffled from behind his mascot mask. He had a job to do though for Riley so he wasted no time.

Riley's head was bobbing without really realizing it. In about two weeks- Whoops, there went Charlie, stealing Hel's attention before Riley could even finish the sentence. The Illithid sat back down, and her eyes half-lidded. Roch's music was a pleasant accompaniment to her thoughts, and she turned her head to watch him.
Mmm. She purred, inadvertently grooving to the song. This was a very good idea. I think I'll keep you, Roch.
There was a lot of emotion in his music. If Riley didn't know any better, she would have wondered if there was something wrong. But musicians were just like that, she supposed. Pouring their hearts into their songs - at least they had an outlet. Whenever she felt overwhelmed with emotion, there was no outlet handy. It was never pleasant.
She lifted a tentacle, sliding it stealthily across the table, and reached out to poke Charlie. She pulled back before he noticed, and continued to bob her head to the music contentedly.

Poked. Charlie stopped dancing and looked around for the being that caused. To his surprise no one was standing near enough to him to actually poke him. Or so he thought. Charlie was not clever enough to realize Riley could very well poke him with her tentacles even though she'd done it many times before. That idea just did not register with the demon. So instead he stood there with an unseen puzzled look behind his mascot mask. And then he danced some more to Roch's music. But now he was a little more alert in case the poking phantom came back.

Aww, Hel still couldn’t understand Charlie through that mask he wore! Oh well. She watched with amusement as the demon started to enthusiastically do his job and dance. The reaper clapped loudly for him, glancing down as one of Riley’s tentacles move across the table and poke him and laughed. She’d never bust out the demoness to Charlie though, oh no!
The reaper turned back to Riley, looking a bit sheepish once more. “I apologize! I didn’t mean to ignore you but ah…two weeks…” Hel reached into her apron pocket and pulled out a small notepad and a pen, and scrawled down a reminder to herself. “Two weeks, elections…” She murmured, and then stuffed the items back where they belonged. “Ah…is there…anything I can do to help?” Hel questioned eagerly.

The sound of music rang through the area as Jericho made his way towards Riley's booth. Once he arrived, he saw that Roch was playing there. Oh sweet. That should help attract some attention for the Illithid. With a sort of grin, he walked on closer to the booth, taking a quick inventory of who was there.
.. Looks like Charlie was back as a mascot.
Shaking his head to himself, he waved to Hel, then turned his attention to Riley.
"Looking good as usual."

Stick around. Have fun. Attract attention. These are things you could do to help. Riley winked at Hel, and chuckled. Your presence alone is helping, already. Look at the fine young boils who come at the sight of you. She reached out, tugging Jericho to her side and giving him a one armed hug. Hello, fine young boil. What can I do for you this day? Or did you just come here to see the pretty valkyrie?

Hel grinned when Jericho approached the booth, and gave the dragon student an energetic wave. “Jericho! Good to see you, friend! I signed up for the Fitness Club right after I arrived!” The valkyrie informed him, since he had been the one to tell her all about it, after all!
The reaper looked flattered when Riley called her pretty, and the pale side of her even blushed lightly as she rubbed the back of her neck. “Psshaw.” She uttered, “Not as pretty or as stunning as you.” She replied to the demoness with a laugh. Where were her other friends to see how modest she was being today?

Although pretty ghouls wouldn't do a very good job catching Jove's attention, the tentacle headed demon certainly did. The pup drew closer, wondering why Charlie wanted to put something on his head like that. It must have been stifling for his horns, and horns were like ears, right? There was no way Jove would have worn something like that over his head for so long...
He glanced at the booth Charlie seemed to be associated with it, and took a couple steps closer to look at the vast amounts of loot that seemed to be in evidence, most of it with tentacles. He did find the tentacled cannon cat plushie to be rather fun looking... It didn't take him long to realize it was Riley's booth.
So his friend from the forest was running for president?
The pup looked around until he spotted her, and trotted over with a tail wag of greeting and an innocent expression. Innocent like nothing at all out of the ordinary had happened in the woods, and he wasn't about to ruin Riley's presidential candidacy by spreading horrible rumours about her hugging small, fluffy animals.

Roch grinned crookedly as he finished up the song. "Thanks," he called over to Riley. "But if you get me a collar, make sure it goes with my outfit!" he added as he hopped off the chair and decided to look around the booth.
Hel had a hat. The little ghost puppy boil was there, too, which made him a bit wary, but he was jackin' tiny, and more dog than ghost in Roch's mind. Besides, Hel had a hat. And it had tentacles.
"Riley, can I get a hat, too?" he asked. He saw one in particular that had the tentacles coming out of the top--
Roch wanted that hat.

Raising an eyebrow at his best friend, Jericho soon chuckled and returned the hug before looking over at Hel.
"Good to hear," He grinned, "Hope you enjoy making use of the club."
"As for you..." he said while looking at Riley, "I just wanted to see what our potential future president was up to. I see you've managed to salvage a lot of your swag from the festival."
Or maybe this was all new stuff. Riley could easily afford getting new materials after all.
---
Wandering on around outside, the sound of someone playing the guitar had caught Shun's attention. He didn't really plan on visiting many of the booths at all, having somewhat of an idea of who he was going to vote for to some extent. But, the music had caught onto his curiosity. Quietly, he followed it to the source, spotting Riley's booth not too far off.
It looked like Roch was the one providing musical entertainment. For the moment, his eyes narrowed at the guy, wondering if anything had gone on between him and Xiu since he last saw him.
There was also, the red dragon, Riley, Hel, and a ghost pup at the booth too.
The Grim Reaper continued to advance quietly, stopping behind the pup, not really paying him much attention. He was just looking at the excessive amount of free stuff that she had up for grabs here.
It... looked a little ridiculous actually.

Riley shook her head at Hel. Nonsense. Do not underestimate your beauty, it is a powerful tool. She reached behind her, pulling one of the larger top hats off the rack and setting it firmly on Roch's head. Hmm. Roch. You would have made a delicious mindflayer. She teased, before letting him be.
No, this is all new. She bopped her forehead against her best friend gently. And thank you.
There was a smaller boil looking up at her, and she looked at him curiously, as if trying to recall if she'd met him before. Of course, her memory never forget a face, but it wasn't his face that was making her ohjackitwasthefoxfirefromtheforest
Her eyes widened just slightly, and her heart stuttered, but she showed no other signs of distress. Her hand lifted, and bent inward in greeting. Welcome. How could a mental voice crack? Ah, I mean, nice to see you again. Please help yourself to anything.

It was nice to see that Riley had managed to get another booth up. After what happened at the festival, well...the damage had been devastating, and the Baku was appreciative of the hard work that everyone had to do to get their booths back up.
As for why she was here, Xiu was dropping off a fresh batch of spookies for the mindflayer's campaign. Her arms were wrapped around a large box--large enough that she was having difficulties looking over the cardboard box and finding her way, but somehow, she made it to Riley's booth without any casualties. There seemed to be quite a few people here, but because of the way that the box obstructed her view, she couldn't tell just who all these people were. Instead, she head straight to Riley, who was easy enough to spot thanks to her tentacles.
"R-riley!" She greeted, carefully lowering the box down at their feet. Phew. Smiling shyly, she knelt down to open up the cardboard box. "We thought that...maybe you could use some more, so Lizzy and I made some more spookies and spookie bags." When she finally got the box open, it was clear that everything had been very carefully packaged to ensure that the spookies would arrive in one piece. On top of everything, there was a plate of broken and imperfect spookies. Xiu grinned sheepishly as she lifted this plate.
"And...and these...they still taste good, but as for how they look..." They most certainly could not give out headless Riley spookies for the campaign. "I thought, if you'd like these just to snack on..." Because giving the mindflayer a source of sugar was always a good idea, clearly.

"Thanks Riley!" Roch said, grabbing the hat he really wanted and putting it on. He turned to the others, grinning like an idiot. "What do you think, is it--ah... uh... hey, Xiu--are those spookies?" he asked, forgetting that he was wearing his new hat (for the most part, but seriously, tentacles!) and heading over to the box to look inside.
His hand shot out, grabbing one of the bags quickly. "I'll keep these for my next break," he said. And then he just... sort of stood there for a second, feeling like an idiot. He really needed to go back to work, he'd only played one song so far. "I... uh... need to get back to work," he said, his neck turning slightly red as he started for the platform only a few feet away.

Jove wagged his tail again, giving only a minor head tilt as to why Riley had suddenly let her composure slip. Oh, it wasn't that again, was it? She was still uncomfortable about stuff? The pup snorted, with an expression that made light of her worries while simultaneously finding it amusing himself. Sure, he didn't like the hugging from ghouls either, but he had come to terms with it. In fact, he would probably be hugged at least once that day while out in the crowd trying to investigate things.
He gave Riley a "thank you!" look anyway, and stood on his tiptoes to see all the things on her booth. There was so much purple! It reminded him of his bruises, and he decided to pass. Although there was that very nice cannon cat with tentacles...
He took a step back, and accidentally bumped into a tall, intimidating boil, and then a ghoul wielding a plate of spookies as he tried to back away from him. Since when had so many people gathered? And all of them so much taller than himself!
