Why was the jingling so high up?
Ellie's inappropriate comment certainly didn't do anything to sway her confusion, head turning a fraction towards the blonde with a small frown. While she might not put it past her to make lewd remarks, the air certainly rang with a tone that told Lilith now was hardly the time for them. After all, this was ********* she was talking about. When would the cat do anything like that? Her mouth opened somewhat to ask what she meant, but the voice she attributed to the feline perked up, this time much closer to the girl's ears than it should have been. A few things began to click their way into place in her mind, and a part of her wondered why on earth she looked so surprised as her wide eyes faced the now much taller ********* wasn't like this was the first time she'd encountered a guardian cat in their human form. Not at all - but it was the first time she'd encountered ********* as such. Ellie was quickly ignored here on out in favor of the guardian, for it was hard to believe ********* would take on this form less it was truly important. She seemed more than efficient as a cat, after all. Lilith could lecture her teammate later if it was really necessary - which, really, even she knew it probably wouldn't amount to much. Instead, she nodded her head quickly and took the now human - -oid? Was that the proper term? Hm - girl's hand. Not that it was easy to not be at least somewhat nervous to what this could possibly be about.
She'd never been present, or rather, conscious, when a senshi went up a rank.
Oh, it was awkward alright, in retrospect, but in that moment all the brunette did care about was *********, herself, and that warmth as it spread through her body. It was one that made it hard not to smile, curious about it, but feeling somewhat more confident as she was instructed to repeat a somewhat familiar phrase. Her free hand went to the pocket where her pen was tucked before grinning, "Metis Asteroid Power, Make-Up!"
The colors swirled, the auras flared into life before her mind's eye, and the pale green blinked once or twice before looking more clearly to the figure formed of yellow and flickering silver - a rather large aura, in fact. While perfect detail it was not, it was hard to ignore how the quality of the detail had improved, if only a small amount. Enough to get a better visual of the girl before her, at least. A sight she was quick to take in, from the pigtails, the hat, what she could make of the outfit she wore, how they were equal in height- or rather, would be, minus her heels. She couldn't help it. "You are quite adorable as a cat," the black and teal scout stated suddenly, "but I must say you're just as equally adorable in this form, too."
Now that that was said, she turned her attention towards herself, hands moving over the new materials and layers. She wasn't sure what she'd been expecting when ********* had mentioned an advantage, but this certainly hadn't been it. The new skirts, the new bodice, the new... well, everything. Even her hair was done up! Gingerly, she touched the sapphire and gold eye, using her sense of touch more than magical sight to "see" the change in her broach - including the star that hung above it. In fact, feeling at her other accessories, she discovered her earrings also bore the new little symbols. She wasn't entirely sure of their importance, but still felt quite proud of the emblem she wore. "This is... amazing. Oh *********, thank you." Super Sailor Metis should not be doubted in her sincerity the amount of gratitude and affection she currently felt towards the far too kind guardian. No, not even Ellie's possible grumbles or comments about how girly she undoubtedly looked could ruin her mood, awed by the new transformation.
Speaking of. Well, sort of. She looked towards the other girl, suddenly realizing she'd never had the chance before to "see" what Ellie looked like. Though she wasn't surprised to not see a physical difference between Ellie and Iris, there was still something unique about the sight. Perhaps simply knowing this was the girl born here on Earth? Either way, it was still kind of cool. She saved her the bad pun of, It's good to see you, smiling broadly instead before looking back to *********. Remembering again the whole point to this, she stilled her inspection of herself and her surroundings - it was impossible to not take a quick glance around the room by light and shape of the copper and yellow auras that bounced around them - and ventured, "Will this be enough of an advantage, *********> She doubted even hearing 'no' could fully wipe the smile from her face, though.

Ellie remained on her couch, looking unimpressed with all of this display. It was kind of okay that Metis was now a Super Senshi. However, it wasn't like Ellie to get excited over something like this. She didn't need to gay this sh*t up any more.
********* could not stay in this form much longer. Otherwise they'd probably have every youma in the city coming to trash Ellie's house. Not that it wasn't already an absolute disaster. This place could have really benefited from a weekly visit from a cleaning lady.
She didn't say anything else for the moment. Instead, the team's ringleader leaned in and wrapped her arms about the other girl as tightly as she could for a hug. ********* was proud of this girl, and if anything her hugging arms seemed to prove it. It was the sort of hug where one could tell that the hugger did not want to let go, but knew that all good things had to come to an end. So eventually her arms loosened, and before the girl's strange sort of vision, the girl shrunk back down to her usual form.
"That is rather kind of you to say. Thank you!" She offered what could only be called a feline curtsey before addressing some of the other subjects which had been brought up while she was just a bit taller.
"Do not thank me, Metis. Just show me that you are able to handle the responsibilities that come with being a Super Senshi." She padded forward and began to rub herself along the newer white boots that came with the new fuku. "I think this will give you an edge should you encounter Parthenope."

The moment the guardian moved to embrace her, Metis reciprocated the movement without hesitation. It wasn't in any shape awkward to her, in fact she felt honored and thrilled as her arms wound happily around the slightly shorter girl. The pride she felt from ********* only helped to increase these feelings, even after the hug was brought to a close and the aura shrank back down to normal size – in more than one way. Her head bobbed in a quick nod to the curtsey of sorts, and then things took back the serious note again. Her expression softened a bit from its beaming ways, though the joy was still simmering beneath her skin as she tried to compose herself a bit better.
Another nod, this time growing a little thoughtful as she briefly wondered what responsibilities came with the rank. Anything new from her previous ones, that is. "I'll certainly do my best," came her response at first, deciding she would wait till another time to pose her question, assuming she couldn't simply figure it out herself. She crouched down a little, offering a hand to Raja to sniff –whom promptly sneezed upon taking a curious whiff – while she processed the last bit. "Any edge would be useful, though I still hope I don't encounter him right away, after what both of you have said of him." The other hand gently scratched the manx behind an ear before she returned to her seat on the couch. "Least until you're able to… speak with him again," she added somewhat uneasily. Not only was she unsure a talk would be what would change this boy's mind, but of her own private question of if it'd be a permanent one. Giving a small shrug more to herself than anything as she pushed the thought aside for now, Metis flickered and faded, leaving Lilith comfortably sitting as she took a small moment to readjust to the darkness she was once more amongst. It was far easier to take the transition sitting down than standing up, even after all that time. Something about the loss of the sense still left her somewhat off balance.
"I'll have to take another patrol tonight – the auras show a little more detail now than they did before, and I'd rather get used to that sooner than in a fight, if it can be helped." Her head titled and brow rose slightly towards Ellie as she spoke, a silent question if the blonde would join her for such an outting later.

Once everything seemed to go back to normal, the blonde simply replied to the blind girl "...I think it'd be better t'split up if anything tonight... If ya see a dude-senshi who has'is hair in three long braids... call me." It was quite glaringly obvious what the tomboy had in mind for her patrolling as she balled up a fist and smacked it into the palm of her other hand.
"Only if you call Metis if you encounter Parthenope..."
********* was doing the bargaining right now.
Gold eyes rolled up to the ceiling for a brief moment. "Whatever... I think we're done now..." The taller girl stood up and began to make her way to the door. "Do ya need me t'call ya a cab or somethin'?"

Wasn't the answer she was hoping for, but she didn't argue once she heard Ellie punch her hand. Yes, glaringly obvious indeed, and Lilith had no desire to interfere. She did give a firm nod to show she agreed to the other's request, and had to stifle a small laugh to ********* bargaining. "I believe that sounds fair," came her agreeing remark before she collected her cane again and got Raja back into her harness.
Once done, she and the canine began to follow Ellie, Lilith shaking her head. "No, thank you, I'll take care of that myself." Moment she would get outside, in fact, she'd make the necessary call. Once the car pulled up, and Raja gave a canine kiss to Ellie and ********* both, the two began the walk towards the vehicle. "Thank you for having me over, it was good seeing you both again." As an afterthought, she added, "Give Parthenope a punch for me when you see him." Somehow, as girl and dog got into the cab, she wasn't willing to bank she'd get a call once Iris did encounter the rogue senshi...
