"Mm...." She looked at the Daeva, "Um...alright...." She walked over and started to nibble on the pig uncertain. After a few mouthfuls, she then looked to the cabbage and started taking small bits and swallowing. Flora hadn't eaten much when she back away from the food.
"Thank you for feeding me....I feel better now." The broken vixen was looking intently at the ground.

Aurum could hear in her voice that something was bothering her."hey is something else wrong?"he asked. lowering his face to hers. he focused his eyes on her."You seem down, anything I can do to cheer you up?"He thought for a second.However couldnt think of anything.

Flora tried to look away from him but his eyes followed her everywhere. "Mm...." She sat and looked out the window. "I don't think there is anything that would be able to cheer me up." She replied softly.

Aurum shook his head and layed down staring at her."why not just tell me what happened?" he said gently."You may feel abit better afterwards andI'll know better what to do to help you" He figured this is what Rinko or Hiyo would want him to do.Find a way to help someone whos suffering, he already kept her from starving now to figure out what was eating at her.

The timid vixen looked at the Daeva in front of her. Weren't they supposed to be fearsome and mean, and here this one was trying to cheer her up, and seemed concerned about what was bothering her. No one else had even bothered to ask her, though admittedly she didn't have any friends so that could be why.
"There was this male....Ki....Ki..." Flora chocked on his name. She couldn't even say it without bursting into tears, "Kif..." She sobbed, covering her face so that he couldn't see her crying. "He was...going to be my....mate..." She whispered, "But he just....disappeared."

Aurum sighed."Mate troubles too huh? I had a mate, her name was Rinko, shes gone now though, when I ran into you I was visiting her grave..."his expression changed when he remembered her."There was a war betwen this tribe and myold tribe the Desmodia, which was a tribe of only daevas...."he began wondering if she would be interested in the story at all.

Flora peeked through her paws to look at him. She wanted to focus on something other then her own problems for awhile, "I'm sorry about your mate." She whispered sadly as she looked at him, "What happened?" She listened to his story interested.

Aurum smiled."they didnt like the shinku because the tribe had long long ago been one of the primary voices towards erradicating Deavas because in that time they were pure evil. However as generations passed the elders tried tomove closer to attempting to reach co-existance with all races,however the hatred ran too deep and the Desmodia wanted to destroythe shinku, so they began to attack, their first attack killed Rinkos father the elder at the time. Rin being the next in line was forced to take up er fathers position. she was already my mate at the time yet I still was given looks on only being with her because of her status. Over the next year We held the desmodia back, until it became to much and we were forced to confront them.Rinko wanted to fight despite being pregnant with outr daughters. I wanted to stop her bt she wouldnt have it... Within mere hours most of the tribesmen who volunteered to help either fled or were killed. It left myself Rinko and our two tribe Guardians. I didnt want rinko in that fight not when she was... in the condition she was in...But she held the enemy down bettr then anyone could have imagined,in the end The enemy surrendered but when Rin went to agree on the terms of surrender the other elder attacked her injuring her., before fleeing Rinko went into laor a few days later, but due to thewound, she couldnt take the pain, and passed."Aurum explained the story to her

The vixen listened to the entire story with wide eyes. She could not believe that all of this happened to the poor Daeva. He must have been so crushed when his mate was killed, "I am so sorry about your mate." Flora frowned at him concerned. "I imagine that it was horrible losing her that way but...what about the children...did your...you daughters survive the birthing?" She looked up at him, hoping that at least some part of his mate still lived within the children. Something that he could remember his mate by.

Aurum nodded."yeah Hiyoko survived. She's the current head of the tribe, which she's struggling to get afloat. She has a violent streak and is many times very crude. But she loves her tribe and her family. That cat we met earlier was sulpher. The woman that raised her. She's a bit touchy with certain things." He laughed. " then there's my son in law shuuha he's hiyos mate. He can be a bit clingy sometimes but Hiyo loves him"

Flora smiled as she heard that his daughter had survived, but hadn't he said daughters before. "So....does that mean your other daughter....?" She frowned thinking that one of them had survived only to lose the other, along with his mate. She realized that while she was sitting here sulking about losing Kif, this male had known true lose. Feeling sorry for herself seemed insulting when she knew what the Daeva had been through.
Suddenly Flora realized that while she knew his whole life story now, she didn't didn't have his name and he likewise didn't know her. "I'm Flora by the way."

Aurum nodded. "Yeah Hanako died her Bcr was buried with Rinko. Figured it best for the child" he looked over grinning."Names Aurumnice to meet you flora" he stared at her." So this guy just up and left huh? He didn't deserve ya! Your better off without him."

"That is so sad...." Flora frowned, "I am so very sorry for you loss Aurum..." She then looked at him surprised, "I don't feel better off without him...i feel...empty....and lost. Kif was the first....really the only male that ever liked me for me.....He was so sweet...and thoughtful to me....I....I don't understand why he suddenly just left....was it something I did....could I have driven him away?"

Aurum shook his head."Theres no way you could have possibly driven a him away if he ran off he was probably a weak coward who wasnt worth your time. A man needs to stay by the woman he loves no matter what even if she decided to claw out her own throat... a real man will try to help her do whats best for others and then stick with her." Aurum already didnt like this guy he was cowardly enough to run away from a vixen who loved him, and after he supposedly returned her feelings. Those type of people were the worst."dont you worry theres someone out there who's perfect for you ya just gotta find em."

Flora looked up at the male, offering him a soft smile. "Do you really think that there is someone out there for me?" She sat up, feeling slightly better. Maybe she really did just need to talk about her problems. Already she was starting to feel like her old self again, only a little less shy. This Daeva was so easy to talk to.
"But....how am I supposed to find him?" She pouted her lower lip.
