It was a miracle that had Huang breathing out in relief that Li was now awake. Never mind there battle, never mind that she had almost died in his arms. she was alive, heart beating under his palm where she laid it. Her violet eyes looked up at him with relief mirrored and it made him thank the goddess. "You should've left Li." was all he said before scooting his chair closer to her, still holding her hand, afraid to break the bond lest something take her and he couldn't save her. The fear, the worry and stress over something so simple clicked in Huang's head and heart and had him sighing. Like Jianyu and Sara, Like Kyung....Huang had found someone else he would devote his friendship and love to. For him, he related the pain and stress of the night closely to what he had with Yuan before Yuan was killed. He was stronger though, and smarter. He wouldn't let it happen to Li again.
He stiffened at her gesture but put it aside as politeness instead of something more. His heart already warring over her situation now. "You are an odd bird Lady Li." Huang sighed before pulling her hand to his lips and doing the same, laying a gently kiss on the knuckles. "Oh." He watched in admiration as she moved a little, though her breaths still came out in short wheezes before frowning. "You shouldn't move yourself so much." Huang nodded as he gently pushed her back before gesturing to one of the healers. "Tell me healer, would it be safe to move her now?" Huang looked at the man who nodded, before listing off the worst case scenario's. Satisfied that none of them ended with Li reopening her wound and bleeding to death, he pushed himself off from the seat before looking down at her. Burgundy eyes to her violet. "If you do not mind Lady Li, I would carry you home then. It's not a imposition and it is something I want to do." Huang raised an eyebrow, as if asking permission to touch her so that he could lift her from the bed. "It'll hurt but the walk won't be far and i will try not to jostle you much." He gave a almost wary forced smile.

At his gentle admonishment, the young woman lowered her eyes in acknowledgement. Li had disobeyed a direct order, but he wasn't really chastising her about it, simply making her aware of her actions -- and more importantly, the consequences. She understood the gravity of rebelling against her superior's word, but if she had to go back and try again, she'd not change her disobedience. Li would not leave anyone behind if it was at all in her power to prevent it.
A kinder smile curved her lips at the remark and polite gesture in turn, taking in the same stride as she had intended her own: a show of gratitude and respect. She was grateful that Huang understood her way of thinking and that he did, for better or worse, support her. It was new to her, to have the backing of someone as esteemed as Huang, but she would take that thrill with a grain of salt and use it as a step to better herself for the next encounter. The woman had no idea if Huang would be one to invite her along again, but she would do her best to re-earn his trust if she had to. Her thoughts were interrupted by the Healer's confirmation of the safety to move her, prompting her to focus her amethyst gaze on the assassin's wine red's. Li's expression was carefully neutral, though there was still a tug of embarrassment by her lips and eyes. "I do not mind, I've no reputation to uphold. Unless our old sparring partners see us." The idea that those she'd fought with and earned the nickname "Little Lotus" from would see them as such was almost enough to make her reconsider her acceptance, but Huang's serious, if not slightly uncomfortable look reassured her that he felt the same. Thank Lunaria.
"I trust you," Li remarked gently, slowly peeling the blanket off of her legs so as not to entangle both of them when she was lifted. Lifting her arms, she lightly curled her knees, waiting with as much poise as she could at what she was going to have to endure. Pain? No problem. Being treated like a lady? Far more compromising.

Huang watched her as she looked at him. He could see her processing the simple statement he said and let her to her thoughts. he wasn't angry...with her per se. But upset at the failure of protecting her and getting caught. If he hadn't taken her along, she wouldn't be lying in his families healing room.
He nodded as the healer gave them the okay and gently removed blankets around her. Though she was dressed, he felt a slight flush of embarrassment of taking a injured woman, especially one in the state she was around the street's clothed the way she was. Though she seemed okay with it, it still effected the older Lunarian.
"If your not worried Lady Li," Huang moved closer to the bed, bending down as he looked up at her, holding his arms out to carry her, to return her home in her condition without hurting or opening her wound farther. "I am sure they would assume that I reclaimed my honor with this. Though I might get more challengers to reclaim your honor instead. Imagine just how many of the men would come to fight for their little Lotus flower." He gave her a soft smile as he pulled her into his arms and then standing up. "It is chilly, So we'll keep you covered with the blanket." He nodded to the healer who remained just in case, placing the blanket around her and tucking it around the crooks of his arms before nodding. "Time to take you home Mi'Lady."
