It wouldn't hurt to ask, no. Humming thoughtfully, Xiu cupped her cheek with her free hand and frowned as she contemplated over this idea. "I...I suppose if I bring it up to a staff member, then maybe..." Lattice's alternate idea wasn't a bad one either, and the Baku visibly perked up at her offer. "W-would you? It would be nice to have our own little personal garden or greenhouse! Then we could grow our own tea ingredients!"

Surprisingly enough, it seemed as if most of Xiu's worries were slowly dissolving into the background the longer she spent with Lattice. Within a few minutes, the ghoul had been elevated from a feared stranger to a good friend.

She listened intently as the engraver gave her the basics about what a tea ceremony was. "Deep tradition," Xiu echoed thoughtfully, tilting her head, "Did you grow up conducting these tea ceremonies, then? A-and yes, I'd certainly love to see some examples one day, if you're fine with that!" Her tail gave a little wag in excitement.

They were nearing their destination now--a little teahouse that was situated not too far from the school. Soon enough, the pair would be surrounded by one of their own elements.

"I can come with you when or if you ask a staff member. It can be a little rattling asking such a thing of authority," she replied quietly. Lattice knew how to deal with authority in most respect and generally it was with a lot of respect. She nodded a bit, "Yes I think that could be a lot of fun," Lattice replied with a bit of cheerfulness in her tone. "I wonder if there is a club for gardening or botany," Lattice said thoughtfully outloud.

She nodded a bit, "I learned from books and an elder member of my clan who liked to teach such things, she was very patient with me," she said with a bit of fondness in her voice. "I would enjoy showing you one day, we shall have to arrange a day for it," she replied. Lattice was more than glad to spend more time with Xiu.

A few more steps ha brought them to the door of the teahouse Lattice paused seeming to realize that there was a door and moved to open it for them, "In we go."

Xiu knew that she would probably have to take Lattice up on her offer--she just wasn't the type of person who could easily talk to authority figures without stuttering violently. At the mention of a club, the Baku frowned thoughtfully, giving a little shake of her head. "I...I'm not sure, actually. I don't...think so?" To be honest, a gardening club had been one of the first things she had looked for when she first enrolled in Amityville. Her search turned up nothing, however.

"Y-yes!" She chirped cheerfully at the talk about tea ceremonies, her eyes bright with interest. So Lattice came from a clan that taught these kinds of things? "If I may ask...when did you start learning this kind of stuff? I-I mean...age-wise?" Was it a kind of tradition? "Tea ceremony" certainly sounded like some kind of fancy, traditional thing.

Smiling when the ghost ghoul held the door open for her, the Baku gave a little bow of her head and stepped in, waiting for Lattice to follow. At once, a ghoul hurried up to welcome them, ushering them into the small tea house and asking what they would like.

"Maybe I'll try to start a club up then, perhaps. I might need some help," She seemed thoughtful for the moment. This would require a lot of planning and organization but she was certain she could handle it for the most part - if not then she would probably place it into someone's hands that could handle it. Hopefully she would get many helping hands on the project.

She seemed thoughtful for a moment not sure, "Mmm. I was about ten or so. That was around that age when I was able to better understand what I was being taught as far as things like that go." Lattice had patience to spare as a child though not always the wisdom.

Lattice bowed slightly as the ghoul hurried up and ushered them about and made request for a simple oolong tea and then waited for Xiu to make her order - when she did Lattice would pay for both of their teas.

Despite herself, Xiu couldn't help but perk up slightly at Lattice's words. "O-oh! If I can be of any assistance, please do let me know!" She was excited at the idea of the ghost ghoul starting up a gardening club. The baku had been terribly disappointed when she had learned that there was no such club at Amityville, but if Lattice was going to start one up, then she would do anything she could to help.

"You must have a real talent at tea ceremonies now then." Xiu smiled, her tail flicking behind her. She wasn't sure how old the other ghoul was, but...a few years at least, right? From what she knew of tea ceremonies, they were not easy things to perfect.

She gave the ghoul her order--some matcha tea would be nice--and began to reach into her obi for her wallet when Lattice slid the seeds onto the table before she could. Eyes widening, Xiu reached out to place her hand over the engraver's. "W-wait, Lattice, I've inconvenienced you enough today. P-please let me pay."

"Oh yes, I most certainly will. I will likely need a lot of help to get it off the ground." Lattice smiled lightly at the Baku. If it made the other ghoul happy then she would certainly look into it for certain to make sure the club became a reality.

Lattice seemed thoughtful for a moment, "I suppose I am decent with my performance of the ceremony but I could always do much better," she replied sounding almost thoughtful. The Engraver seemed the type to be hard on herself if she didn't perform as expected.

Upon sliding forth the seeds for both teas the payment was accepted even as Xiu protested. Lattice just smiled slightly, "You would never be an inconvenience least of all to me so get that thought out of your head, ghoul. It was my honor to pay."

"I-I believe, in order to start up a club, you need to have a certain number of members signed up...but I'm sure that there will be many people to sign up for your gardening club!" She certainly hoped so, anyways. "Do you know many others who are interested in plants, perhaps?" Xiu, personally, could only think of...one, maybe two people. That wasn't very many at all, but...surely they would be able to recruit the minimum amount of members, right?

Tilting her head, Xiu regarded the ghoul quietly for a moment before smiling. "It really is a wonderful tradition, I think. Do you have...any siblings, perhaps?" She certainly hoped that this wouldn't be too intrusive of a question--some people, she knew, preferred to keep details about their family to themselves. If Lattice was such a person, then the baku was ready to change the topic in a heartbeat.

She was genuinely touched by the engraver's words--she seemed like such an open and kind person, especially considering how they had been strangers not long ago. Sitting up straight, Xiu bowed her head gratefully. "T-thank you. Please, allow me to treat you to a cup of tea sometime as well."

"I shall most certainly keep that in mind, thank you very much." Lattice shook her head a little, "I am afraid I do not know many people yet but if you can help me gain some interested parties when I start setting up for the club and looking for others that would be most wonderful." The Engraver knew she wouldn't be able to do it on her own though she would try to do as much as she can.

The topic of siblings made Lattice brighten up considerably, "I have a twin, her name is Needle. She is the most wonderful Sister anyone could ask for," she said her monotone warming up to a fond tone as she spoke. "Sadly she cannot attend with me right now so she is back at the Manor." The fond tone seemed to fade away as soon as it came now sounding sad.

She seemed thoughtful, "You are most welcome and I suppose you may next time," there was something slightly teasing about her tone now.

O-oh, perhaps...perhaps she shouldn't have brought up Lattice's sister? Xiu was pleased to hear that they were so close, but she was certain that the engraver missed her twin dearly. Her tone gave it away. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..." She blushed uncomfortably, giving a little shake of her head. Time to steer the subject elsewhere!

"S-so, the club! Did you have any ideas in mind for a name, or what kinds of things you wanted to do?" A club garden? Or maybe little individual gardens for the members, if the school would allow such a thing? Xiu gave a little shiver of excitement at the thought--her poor plants hardly got much light in her room (granted that Halloween was never all that bright) so the thought of finally being able to grow things outside was a welcome one.

There would definitely be a lot of lot things to consider if Lattice wanted to appeal for a club. As they sipped their tea, the two ghouls tossed ideas back and forth, listing off some potential members who would be interested in joining as well. By the time they were done with their tea, Xiu sincerely hoped that Lattice would go through with her appeal--the baku would do anything to help!--and they promised to meet up again in the future. After all, Xiu did promise to treat the engraver to some tea sometime.

Lattice shook her head a bit, "No you're fine. After all I simply miss my Twin. I am just not use to being apart from her is all," the Engraver gave a small smile and tried to cheer up a bit.

"I am not certain about the name yet but maybe you can lend some light on it," Lattice replied as they lapsed deeper into conversation about the gardening club and the simple possibility of it. The Engraver was not certain when she'd get around to appealing for it but when she did she promised that she'd go to Xiu for any and all help she would need. Lattice tossed about a few names and ideas for the club but at the moment none of it was concrete.

When the two had finished Lattice nodded her head quietly and bid Xiu fond farewell before she also left but instead of going straight home she went forward to run a quick errand to pick up a few things on her own.
