If she was worried, maybe he should be a little more worried himself. He followed the tug after a moment, wondering vaguely what sort of car they were going to be driving up to a hospital in. She had a car to begin with, at their age. He couldn’t imagine it being one of the beater-types that juniors and seniors at his old school had bumped around in.

What he could imagine was that it would be a metallic red, or yellow, like those that increased the cost of insurance but that made something very visible. Not the common, garish candy-apple red though. Or maybe gold or a chocolate colour, something like the colours on the walls of the coffee shop that made people think of classical music, museums and money.

“I’m riding, so I’d be pretty brave to insult the driver before we get in the car. “

His expression softened at her admission. “There are two of us, and we have cellphones if there is really trouble. I don’t feel like passing out yet, but if I do, I trust you have a lead foot sometimes. “

With Björn successfully herded in the direction of her car, Talia said, "My car is literally just around the corner." A sudden insecurity came to her though. She was arm in arm with a man. Wouldn't this look a little ... suspicious? Then again, maybe she was overthinking it. Maybe she wasnt?

To solve her little girlish habits, she unhooked her arm and settled for a steadying arm on his bicep. Which was quite large.

Talia shook her head once again. This was no time to be romancing! A man was injured and so was she! She let out an audible sigh and then continued walking down the cemented sidewalk in silence. She left Björn to his own thoughts for the moment, instead opting to study the intricacies of a city-made sidewalk.

After what seemed like ages, the twosome finally rounded the corner and Talia's car filled the panorama of their view. It was a simple silver honda civic, a little beat up thanks to all of the driving she'd had to do lately. It looked like it could a carwash or two, but for the most part it was clean.

As Talia popped the trunk to throw her backpack in, the rest of the car opened as well. "Err ... take any seat you'd like." It would fit Björn, certainly, but she wasn't sure which would be more comfortable for him- laying down or sitting up.

The inside of the car was just as neat as the outside appeared. There were a few magazines stuffed into the back pockets of the front seats, a water bottle in the cup holder and a pair of Ugg slippers in the back (she had learned the uses of having a comfy pair of shoes in her car from Corey's arcade escapade).

Talia hopped into the driver's seat and adjusted the mirrors ever so slightly, as well as clipping her own seatbelt. Funny, when she pictured herself in a car with Björn, she had imagined a more amiable setting like going to the beach or driving the mall. Not rushing off desperately to the hospital. She winced a little as she put her right hand on the wheel, but tried to hide it as best she could. It wasn't working well.

He chuckled when the honda civic came into view, all his guesses proven wrong. And civics were regular-person sized cars. This was going to be pretty funny looking, no matter which way he did this.

Put the front seat all the way back on its track and lean the backrest back? He could sit then on the haunch of his hip and side, looking like some roman reclining on one of those odd couches. It seemed unwieldy, though, and dangerous from a perspective of airbags. He didn't doubt she drove fine, but her arm...she was putting on a brave face. He was pretty sure it hurt like hell. The water was dried now, and she held it like it was wooden.

The backseat then. He could keep his feet on the floor in the space behind the drivers seat, skrunch his knees up, and curl in a but so that the width of his chest and shoulders fit the diagonal between seat and door, if using the two as a joint backrest. It also let him face forward more clearly, to watch the road and Talia as she drove.

"We shall have to work out meeting together in the future...try to make it accident-proof." He smiled, putting a hand on the top of the front passenger seat-back.

"Do you want me to tie something over your arm? The cuts are still seeping. Pressure helps, even if it hurts at first."

He could tear a strip off his shirt? or.....ideas....needed ideas...

"What about my tie? It is silk, clean, and already in the right shape and length." It was dark, too, so it wouldn't show blood. He always felt worse when he looked at his own blood, so maybe others did as well. "At least until the doctor's can have a look?"

Talia turned around to face Björn to speak to him more clearly, but she was startled to find his face remarkably close to hers, thanks to the way he was positioned. A red crimson spread across her face and she quickly whipped back around to face the road.

It really didn't help when he mentioned another meeting as well. Her face twisted up in a smile though she tried to resist it. She couldn't show how excited she was because of this development. That would be too desperate. Instead she contended herself just stammering, "N-next meeting?" It wasn't insulting or sarcastic in the least. If anything, she was testing the waters to see if that was really what he wanted. The proud Talia was having a moment of insecurity.

She looked down at the arm that Björn was referring to. It was bleeding rather nastily wasn't it? She would love nothing more than to have Björn tie something around her arm like in those cheesy romance movies, but it just wasn't an option. One: she was driving, and it was a little hard to tie on something securely on her arm whilst directing traffic. More importantly Two: it would give away that the wound was fresh.

Sighing, she said, "Really Björn, I insist it's okay." She wiggled her arm and smiled through the pain like it was nothing. Later she could scream at the top of her lungs because of it, but right now it was be-tough-for-a-friend time. If there was one thing Talia could adhere to, it was being stubborn.

He accepted the insisted rebuke about her health, letting that matter drop to silence. The other matter, however, seemed a good, low stress sort of topic to ease both their minds from the general situation they found themselves in.

“We’re always meeting because of misfortune. And it’s not been planned meetings. Don’t get me wrong, having you around in a crisis is a blessing. You’re so calm,” He gestured idly with a large hand to emphasize her level demeanor.

“But it’d be nice to do something planned. Maybe it would avoid disaster striking. I don’t know the area so well, though. “Movies were out. Theater seats were always a terrible idea, and best not to suggest anything too super romantic until they actually got to hang out as friends. “Sports parks, with batting cages and go carts, if you like those? Or places that offer group trail rides on horses? Arcades work well, too. We could each bring a friend or more if you have. “

Horses came in large sizes, so that could be fun. Arcades? They usually were near pizza places, there was room to move around the machines (which were for standing at mostly), and they offered activity that was competitive and companionable. And most teens liked videogames, even if they usually played console. He didn’t know much about them, but he didn’t mind losing, either. He had …Collin and Johnny? He didn’t know if Johnny would be the right crowd for Talia…and he didn’t want the poor guy getting stomped by a fed-up girl on his account.

“Make a group fun night of it. “

The hospital was coming into view; it was a bustling place given the hour of the afternoon. People were getting home from work, which meant accidents were happening trying to make dinner, or take care of one last thing in the yard before the sun went down. At least he hoped all the business was from such innocuous sources, and not the supernatural sort of their venture.

As the silver civic pulled up to the hospital parking lot, Talia spoke with precise intent. Her words were calculated, though not cold in the least, as she said, "I ... that sounds fun Björn. A planned meeting sounds enjoyable from all angles."

When the boy continued to talk though, it was obvious that he really didn't know Talia very well. Well, that was to be expected- they'd only met twice. It was just a little eye opening for Talia as she realized she literally knew nothing about the boy other than he was physically attractive and had a magnetic personality for her. As she pulled into the parking spot, she thought about the options he had laid out.

Sports parks, batting cages and go carts ... could be fun, and Talia would've loved the challenge. She was a little insecure about going up against someone like Björn though. After all, she hated to lose, and doubted if she could win anything against someone with his bulk. If he let her win, she would feel even worse about herself. No, losing was out of the options.

Talia didn't even touch the idea of smelly, disgusting horses. If he said he wanted to go, she would go in a heartbeat, but it didn't mean she would enjoy any of it. Talia was a mall girl, not a mountain girl.

Now arcades was something. She could easily enjoy that, and probably win too. Somehow though ... it didn't really feel right. Talia didn't really want to show him her ... "gamer" side? Could you even call it a gamer side when she only played at the arcades? She wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do with an xbox. No, she was more of an arcade enthusiast than a gamer. Either way, she feared she might get so riled up that it would be off putting. Guys didn't seem to like it when girls were playing at the arcades, unless it was their girlfriends.

A group meeting could definitely easy things up. She liked his ingenuity. She could easily use Castille or another one of her friends to distract herself from being too focused on Björn himself, while also using her to gossip with a bit. Talia nodded at this suggestion, but a tiny part of her was a little ... disappointed? She had wanted some time with just Björn himself, to get to know him and no one else.

Still, she couldn't complain with this outcome. He was offering himself up for another get together- who could argue with that? With a smile, she managed, "Batting cages sounds like a great idea," she leaned in a little closer like she was telling a secret, "I've never actually been though!" She could handle it though, easily. New challenges just screamed Talia's name.

And at least it wasn't the damn horse.

With a more serious look on her face, she said, "The emergency room is right there ... did you want help in or did you want to face the doctors on your own?" She smiled as she finished up the question, a soft, sort of motherly look crossing her face. She really should've been focused on her own wound, but at the moment she wanted to offer Björn as many choices as she could. After all, it wasn't his choice to get attacked by the youma bird, so he should get one right now, right?

“To be honest, neither have I. But trying something new gives everyone something to laugh about together, and to cheer each other on with.“

There were other ideas that could be done too, but promises of something pleasant and fun of any sort, at this point, were a welcome light at the end of the tunnel. It was no good to keep meeting someone under the worst of circumstance. Bad luck, or black wolves chasing at their heels.

If he were smart, he would have asked for the help to walk in. Not because he was in great need of it, but that it was a way to get her in the doors and seen by the desk CT’s (clinical technicians) that handled admissions and immediate triage. Once seen, they would have pushed to treat her arm. That sort of duplicity, good or no, was not in him. He knew that she’d decided that it was fine, and that the matter should be dropped.

He didn’t know why. Maybe she had doctors at home, or wanted someone specific to see it.
He carefully got out, sliding the ways until his feet were under him and he could stand, gently closing the back door. She must have a good reason. She was a smart girl, and a kind one. “I’ll be alright, I think. Talia…thank you. Really. I’ll text you. Be careful driving home. “

He didn’t know where that creature had come from, or if there were others. At least she was enclosed in a cage of metal for protection. He lifted his hand in token of gratitude and well wishes, stepping back from the vehicle.

Talia watched wearily until Björn was fully in the doors. She wanted to make sure he at least made it there; if he could do that, then surely some nurses would help him if he fell.

For a moment, she left the car in the parking spot completely. She wouldn't lie to anyone and say that the fear of being caught as Sailor Draconis was easy and carefree. Her adrenaline and worry had finally caught up with her, so she took a moment to just rest and close her eyes for five seconds. Her cut had started aching again, but she didn't care. She was too lost in thought.

That had been way too close for comfort. All it would've taken was the slip of his name, and he would've known something was up. How was she supposed to protect people like this? Sure, Griffin knew since Talia had told her at the lake, but she knew from ********* that she wasn't supposed to go telling people willy nilly. She wish she had someone she could confide in though, someone that wasn't a senshi themselves. Someone who was just rub her head and say "it's okay, you're doing great!" It was different coming from a normal civilian than a senshi, in a weird, complicated way.

She then thought back to their plans. The batting cages, huh? Talia wasn't sure how that one would work out ... maybe it would be like in the movies where the boy stands behind the girl and helps her swing the bat. Talia thought on that image for a moment then grimaced. Like hell she would let someone help her win! She gave a hollow sort of laugh to herself and said, "It's a date then."

With that, she took off out of the parking lot and headed home for some well needed rest.
