SorceressJacklyn Fenrir Graveheart SorceressJacklyn So I'm seeing support for body swapping. Do we wanna go forward with this? I can have something put together before the end of the day if we do. Do it. I wonder who Arete is gonna possess. O_O Remember, Selection will be done by random number, so I need you to send an announcement about what's going on and anyone interested go to a sign in thread so I know how many spots to make for the swapping. Make the sign in thread. I'll go send the announcement.

I came up with a good system. Give everyone participating a number. [i.e 1-20] Then generate a random number. Match the first one to the first person on the list. Example (1) Fenrir [Fenrir Graveheart] (2) Conner [Hiro_Uzaki] (3) Kora [Chilling2] (4) Liliana [Jackie] (5) Arete [Fenrir Graveheart] (6) Jasper [Hiro_Uzaki] Now generate a random number. Lets pretend I rolled a 3. The first person on the list get the three. Example (1) Fenrir [Fenrir Graveheart] 3 (2) Conner [Hiro_Uzaki] (3) Kora [Chilling2] (4) Liliana [Jackie] (5) Arete [Fenrir Graveheart] (6) Jasper [Hiro_Uzaki] Now, generate a new number for the next participant. Lets say its a 4. Example (1) Fenrir [Fenrir Graveheart] 3 (2) Conner [Hiro_Uzaki] 4 (3) Kora [Chilling2] (4) Liliana [Jackie] (5) Arete [Fenrir Graveheart] (6) Jasper [Hiro_Uzaki] These people will go to the bodies, while the others will go when their number is picked. See?

Body Swap
Once we have a list of people participating in it, i'lll make the list here.
Rules: *NO SUICIDE! You try to kill the body you're inhabiting, your normal body will die instead. *Sins do not stay with the body. They travel with the mind into the new body. This also means if you acquire a Sin while in the swapped body, it will return with you when you change back. *You have all the physical weaknesses of the body you inhabit. Example: you inhabit a seer body- you're blind to anything but energy. *As a continuation, the skills you have, passive or not, follow you into the new body. Example: Though you have a seer's eyes from previous example, you will not be able to read anything from anyone.
If you guys think of anything other rules, let me know. I'm gonna work on the reasons and solutions.

Idea for story:
Someone somewhere in the world is experimenting in Blue Magic, or magics directly connected to sexual ideas. But since Lust is still in the world, it becomes too powerful for the person to contain. A shockwave of magic hits the entire world, forcing people to sleep. When these unfortunate victims wake up, they find themselves in another person's body. Ashamed, the person doing the experiments goes into hiding. To reverse the effects for everyone, someone will have to find the cause of the problem and get him/her to fix it by doing the spell backwards.
The person would be an NPC and finding them wouldn't be possible until about a week or so of the arc's start.

Woah, you guys did a lot last night eek .
Right, first about the rules. Suicide rule is good. For the sins, I think it would be better if they just disappeared altogether for this arc. Let's just take a short break from them. Physical weaknesses part is obviously necessary. I actually think it'd be better to let the skills stay with the body. At least, it'd make more sense. I mean, for example, how would Fenrir pull off his berserker moves in Lilliana's weak mage body? If we're going to do a body swap, let's do it completely 3nodding . Also, I think several more rules need to be added, particularly to keep people from finding out the secrets of the body that they're inhabiting. Once more, this arc is just for fun, so I don't think any serious permanent gains should be made for it; personal information on someone can be a serious permanent gain. For instance, my siren. I want my siren to take place in this arc, but I don't want anyone else to know that she's a siren because that could easily put her in danger. Personally, I think it's better for the body swap to be as complete as possible so all physical aspects of the body should be open while the arc is going on, so I think that there should be some kind of aftereffect. I believe a rule that says that after the arc is over, all specific details about the secrets of someone else's body are fuzzed out in the memory of those who participated would be sufficient.
As for the story behind the arc and the way to break it. I don't know if this will be necessary, but maybe we should put some sort of maximum time limit? For instance, if this arc isn't over within half a year, then it'd end automatically. Nothing too soon, just something to prevent being stuck in this arc.

Gotta disagree with some of your points this time kage. If it was a true body switch then nobody would be able to pull off any skills at all, because the new body wouldn't be able to pull off the skills their real body would've been capable of and of course they don't know the skills of the new body they're now inhabiting so we're all left with nothing. As for the knowledge gained being erased, that really kills a lot of the excitement with this new arc. I mean the arc is supposed to be funny, sure, but not pointless. This is an opportunity for people to gain insight into other people's lives while also having fun at the same time. A memory erase just diminishes that.

I gotta say no to the memory wipe. While this is a comedy-based arc, information can and probably will be gained during it. If that's a problem to you, don't have your siren participate. As for Sins, they're still in the background so they wouldn't vanish. Skills, I could see Fen's point on skills but some will logically still be able to be used. Taking your Fen/Lili example, Fen could still use lightening skills in her body because of her nature connection through her talent. Just as Lili could use spells from Fen's body since they rely on energy.

This is an opportunity for people to gain insight into other people's lives while also having fun at the same time. A memory erase just diminishes that. Well then, all that says is that both taking skills to a new body and using the skills in the new body make equal sense. Since, as a body switch arc, one of the main points of this event is to let people experience someone else's body, I think it'll be more effective to use the skills in the new body rather than bringing skills along from the old body. I mean, what'll be the point if the only change was the shape and type of body you're in? The seer's blindness is probably the most dramatic thing, and even then it'll only be for a few people. I didn't mean a complete memory wipe, just a partial one. For instance, I'll use my siren rpc again. They'll remember feeling pathetically weak, little, and childish, but whenever they flew, used her voice, or anything connected to her carefully kept secret of being a siren, things would go somewhat fuzzy and they'd have a slightly modified memory. The memory of gliding with wings will turn into a memory where they're using wind magic to fly. The memory of singing too beautifully for a normal human would be toned down so that the singing sounded normal. SorceressJacklyn I gotta say no to the memory wipe. While this is a comedy-based arc, information can and probably will be gained during it. If that's a problem to you, don't have your siren participate. Just as Lili could use spells from Fen's body since they rely on energy. As I said before, I'm alright with most information. I just think that it'd be better if we allowed each rpc to have maybe just one secret be protected during this body swap. Alright, "disappear" was probably the wrong word to use. The word "hibernate" probably would have been a better choice. Either way, I just thought it might be a good idea to not have to worry about the sins for a little while. Okay, I know that this is really nitpicky, and I would rather not have the decision on skills go down to a case-by-case basis (which is kind of what I'm doing right now), but Fenrir actually wouldn't be able to use his lightning style in Lilli's body. Lilli's body is heavily connected to nature, yes. However, the lightning style's does not draw from the surroundings. The lightning used in it is drawn out of the energy of the body, so a connection to nature wouldn't matter. Furthermore, this energy is extremely and permanently purified. Meaning that just like muscles, it's something that must be trained to achieve. Just wanted to point that out, I really don't want to have to go into that much detail for this arc, though sweatdrop . Although, if we really do want to go in-depth with the skills and be as realistic as possible, I suppose something fairly specific could be made? As I said before, though, I'd rather not.

Elemental magic is all we would allow then, except for bodies without an element at all from talent or BL. That's about it.
