Cyrilla grinned from ear to ear (quite literally actually), and gave a nod of her head. "Yeah, I'm Cyrilla. You got it." she chuckled at the waffling stance Shekh had taken.

"Mostly go by Cyr though." she glanced over towards Amrita, nodding.

"Yeah, much better now. Though I don't think I ever properly thanked you for your help on the ship. I just couldn't get ahold of myself." a bit of a frown formed on her face but the drach quickly dismissed it.

"So, yeah. Thanks." her tone was sheepish and awkward. It had been months now, and she felt a bit silly over it all.

Turning as Amrita greeted the other guests she smiled at the lot and waved. She most definitely recognized Riley. Maladore as well, she had been with them over Christmas.

Hatsuko she did not recognize however.

"Waterproof... bandaging?" That sounded uncomfortable. Possibly slimy. Like most plague doctors, Malodore was rather picky about what sort of substance it allowed to touch its tender undead flesh. Waterproof bandaging probably wouldn't breathe well, and...

Still, as the ferry approached the dock area, Malodore opened its beak in a smile, raising one arm to wave at Amrita. "Buon giorno," it called, nodding to Cyrillia as well. It vaguely remembered the golden dragon ghoul.

Then it glanced back to make sure Hasuko was following. It hadn't really had a chance to see the kappa in swimming action before. Hmm.

Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap he was LAAAATE! “I’ll be right back!” He said. “I’ll just take me a minute!” He said. It took him anything but a minute and he wasn’t right back! It was his own fault that he had to leave the party and come right back. He should have remembered to bring the things, but nope! The items were forgotten, waiting in his dorm room right where he left them. No time was wasted when he ran forward to snatch them up. Given that he had just come from the lake, he did not want any ice to freeze on him and the longer he stayed in the chilly undead dorm rooms the more likely that was to happen!

Merope ignored the ferryman, instead hefting his goods high above his head as he ran straight into the water. Wait -- the party was underwater. Why was he worried about the goods getting wet? They were dunked into the water, leaving Merope to struggle cursing as the natural buoyancy of his goods prevented him from completely going in.

But even then there was the problem of getting there. Merope wasn’t one for swimming, and the water was fighting against him. Running along the bottom was out of the question. A spiral of bubbles marked his dissatisfaction with this as he leaned down, one foot rising to tug off the skull pin that kept him in shape. He stuffed it into one of the bags he held and waited as his Fear surged around him, transforming him into his full undead leviathan form.

Again he was very pleased that he had convinced them to hold this off-campus. It was easy to hook the bags around his horns and grab the rest in his mouth and swim correctly through the water, arriving at the underwater party in his full glowing glory.

There were, of course, problems with this:
1) The floresce were scared off.
2) He was stuck in his natural form, and couldn’t fit under the boat to rejoin the party.
3) His skull pin was in one of the bags.
4) Underwater, he couldn’t ask for someone to get his skullpin for him.

The bags were set down and pushed under the boat to where the rest of the party goers could get to them. He bubbled a greeting, then began to nudge one of the bags with his snout.

The contents of the bags weren’t out of the ordinary: boxed brains, crackers sealed in waterproof containers, a couple of not-yet-inflated blow-up drink holders, some drinks, a couple boats, hand-held fish nets, and whatever else a party would need. And his skullpin. Merope continued to poke the bags with his nose, doing his best to peer inside. His neck was far too long to let him paw through the bags.

Owl stared at the water.
"How are I swim into you? Tell mysterious way." she yelled at it before jumping in and writhing around like a dying fish. Her claws, due to the weight, pulled her down towards the bottom as she kicked her feet out of instinct. Luckily, she managed to pull herself to where the other undead were chillin'. Unfortunately she was upside down with a blank expression and soaking bandages, her legs popping out of the water awkwardly.

But, she was there.
Upside down, but there.

"No need to thank me!" Amrita insisted, holding up her hands in front of her. "I'm just glad you made it out okay!" She hadn't seen the ghoul since the boat ride, it was good to see her again. Her attention shifted from the Kappa to the other pair, and her waving turned to them. "Riley, Malodore! Welcomeeeaah!" Suddenly, bags! Her attention spun to them and the nose that nudged them forward. What was a beast doing wi---oh, that was Merope! Well, okay, that explained...everything.

"Uhm, excuse me." She nodded to the guests before ducking to the bags, giving the leviathan a thumbs up before pulling the bags into the boat, to the air pockets that would make sorting them and keeping them in one spot much easier. The ghoul was murmuring to herself as she went through the items.

"Perfect! We'll need these--" Fish nets! Hopefully her precious floresce won't object to the nets, but...well they didn't have a choice. "Oh, these! Great! Hey, Shehk?" She called out to the other ghoul, waving her over. "Can you put these out, please?" The boats and drinks were gestured to, while she was busy herself putting the fish nets and drink floaties out. Something small tumbled out after a floatie, landing with a little splash in the water.

"Whoops!" She squeaked, ducking under water to grab it before a current took it. WAIT. This was...a pin?! Someone's skull pin! Whose...

Oh wait, duh, Merope!

Setting the bags on a safe makeshift hook, the ghoul ducked under the water again, making her way out of the boat to approach the leviathan, holding his skull pin in her backwards hands. That was when she spotted the upside down ghoul, and...all she could do was stare.

Shehk seemed content enough as the party grew bigger. Certainly she would have been enjoying it if more of the undead had been showing up, but frankly a party was a party and she wouldn't be looking the party in the face because it wasn't exactly what she'd been expecting out of it.

It was all fun!

"Cyr? I'll remember that!" She offered the other ghoul her hand. "I'm not sure if we've been properly introduce, but I'm Shehk Iordanescu." she introduced. "Very nice to meet you in more than passing." she smiled, looking over her shoulder as it seemed more not-very-warm bodies arrived."Malodore, Riley! It's very nice to see you both here~ I am not surprised by your excellent choice in companions, Mal." the pricolici grinned, looking to the Kappa with a curious look, pressing her fingers to her lips curiously.

"I don't think we're familiar, dear." she noted, seeming almost saddened by this.

While she had noticed their late host had arrived, she didn't pry herself from the greetings she was making to go chat him up yet.

Hasuko had already swum a fair distance before she realized that there was a ferry. Of course there's a ferry, she berated herself, blushing and sinking down lower into the water, not everyone can swim.

She should have waited for everyone else rather than just going off on her own, but the water had looked so inviting and Hasuko instinctively jumped in before she thought about it. On land, the air always felt so dry and she was always a little nervous about spilling the water from her dish.

The kappa sheepishly swam up along side the boat but hesitated going on deck for fear of dripping water everywhere. "Sorry!" she called up to Malodore and Riley. "I got a little carried away."

Some of the other party gusts had noticed her. Hasuko felt foolish, bobbling along in the water but she tried her best to be friendly. She waved to one zombie ghoul whose hands bent at an odd angle and then turned to greet the other ghoul who had just addressed her.

"Um, hello." She said to the zombie-werewolf looking ghoul. "I don't believe we are. Familiar, that is. Er, I mean, I'm Mizuki Hasuko. I recently transferred to Amityville." She gave the ghoul a small wave and a shy smile. "Nice to meet you."

There had been word of a party going on that was specifically for the undead students, one that was going to be held...out of all places, underwater

...i]underwater

So, as much as the party had sounded like it would be a lot of fun, Astra didn't think much about it. Plus, she wasn't a undead, so she didn't think she would be allowed to go anyway.

However, Thanks to a certain Undead leviathan, she had received a invite to go to the party! She was ecstatic, and wasted no time in flying towards the place at top speed. She was already wearing the floaties she had been given, tacky looking but nevertheless something she was greatly relieved about. She wouldn't have to worry about her poor swimming skills.

Reaching the area designated, the fairy slowed down until she was hovering on the other side of the lake, pausing to look around before slowly drawing closer. opting to fly since the ferryman was still ushering people over. Students she recognized as well, plus a few in the distance she didn't know, and...someone she wasn't familiar with who was upside down in the water.

"Er...H-hello.." She said, suddenly feeling a little self conscious since she wasn't a undead, yet she was at a undead party. She hoped that they wouldn't here being here...

For once Sammy had abandoned boots and jackets. No sense ruining a good pair of boots flooding them for weeks on end or getting her jacket all mucked up. Instead she wore nothing but a simple pair of shorts, and a black exercising top. Not like the cold would hurt her at all as she wandered down to the ferry. Over her should was a small bag of her own, filled with snacks and drinks of an undisclosed nature that may or mat not have had the contents removed and replaced.

Siddie would be arriving later, and with good reason. Sammy still wasn't sure how she would take to the whole intentionally sinking herself to the bottom of the lake. Standing barefoot on the shore she glanced around spotting the others before wandering over.

Staring at the boat she glanced at the others with a very obvious frown across her face. "The last time I was on a boat, or near water I ended up drugged by a guidance counselor, thought I shot Riley with a harpoon gun, attacked by stuffed toys, and spent a good day drifting in the ocean before ending up on nightmare island."

She sighed climbing into the boat glancing at Mal, "Rather then cough a lung up, when this is all done would you mind me stopping by so you can drain my lungs? I hate the feeling of water sloshing around in there."

Glancing over the side she frowned, she was supposed to be scared of fire (stupid obstacle course and death charm senior) not a giant lake. Looking up she spotted Astra flittering over to the group raising a hand to wave.

"You're from fitness club right? C'mon the ferry is going to leave soon if you wana get out there with the rest of us."

A small knot of panic began to develop in one of his stomachs as Amrita took the bags. He bubbled after her, trying to grab her attention. He could probably wiggle in after her and try to get it himself, but that might overturn the boat... he squinted, noting the appearance of several feet in there. Guests were there? Already? Jack it all! He was definitely late! At least someone was upside down. He bubbled a greeting to Owl.

When Amrita reappeared, Merope reached out with one of his whiskers and wrapped it around it, pulling it from her hands. It took a moment for the skull pin’s effects to kick in, reducing him from his comfortable large size to his much smaller humanoid form. “Whew!” He gasped as he joined them, pausing for a moment to loop the skull pin back around his leg where it belonged. “Thank you, Amrita. I still haven’t gotten the hang of swimming yet. Hey Cyr! Glad you could make it.”

Merope paused, staring at Owl’s legs. Slowly, he reached out and poked them, wondering if she wanted to be flipped upside-right or not.

“I think I’ve got everything. We can probably start in a bit once everyone’s... situated?” He guessed at the word, still poking Owl’s upside-down leg.

Since Shehk didn't seem to hear her, Amrita set out the rest of the party items on her own, before her little adventure to give Merope his pin back.

"No problem! Maybe we should have offered little anchors, too?" She suggested with a smile, putting the last of the food into little crab traps, so they could bobble themselves around. "That sounds good though, I think we're just waiting for a couple more..." The Patchwork's head tilted a bit, staring at the legs. "Think she needs help?" From what she'd seen under the water, the ghoul didn't look TOO distressed at being upside down. Maybe she was an upside down undead? Those could exist!

A Party. Christof was going to a Party.

And he had invited a ghoul.

After some research, it seemed a wing-man had been in order, and of course that fell to Barth, if only because it would be useful to have him handy for translating. This... would be okay. It was at the lake, that would be nice and peaceful and maybe he'd do well? Maybe. Social gatherings were definitely not his strong point.

He glanced to Barth as they waited for the Ferry, glancing around anxiously for any sign of the odd, flickering ghoul. 'Do-not-see-her. Perhaps-already-arrived?' He managed.

Barth, on the other hand, was concentrating on not touching his floaties, since his hands were mostly made of claws, and that would be the end of them. It was difficult to find warm swim gear. He had settled for swim trunks and a loose button-up.

It was even more difficult to grasp this party's theme, besides what he suspected would result a lot of sinking.

"Don't know," Barth said. "...Should I have shown up later?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 05, 2011 3:16 pm

Christof had approached swim-wear in the tentative way of people who had never consciously thought about a specific outfit for a specific task. Especially a person who was not particularly fond of flashing his stitches, so to speak.

He was also not a very strong swimmer. He was more of a sinker, really. He had hoped the party was... BY the lake. he could have sworn it said BY the lake...

"Maybe-she-isn't-coming. Maybe-changed-mind." And he wouldn't have blamed her. He kept his coat firmly wrapped around him, clawed, bare feet digging into the grass.

"Well if she doesn't show up, I don't mind being on your arm for the evening."

Barth paused.

"That was a joke. Because of the mark, you know."
